Nigeria does not pay lower taxes than any other parts of the world, especially for business people. Check out the taxes paid by business people in Nigeria. You will even pay your own personal income tax asides company tax.

It was the past administration that helped by waiving tax (federal tax) for business people that make less than 25m annually.

However, I am not even trying to change your orientation about black tax. But, whether you like it or not, it will continue to be one of the major reasons for propagation of corruption.

That'll now go for the personal context of what the tax is used for? A whole different conversion. By the way even government officials squander tax payers money.

Bro we have the lowest tax to gdp ratio in the world. We hardly do 15% when many countries are above 30%. How can you claim you have a 500bn gdp country and can't raise a revenue of $50bn annually? That's poor and that shows a large sector of our economy is informal as people are less willing to register their business and pay tax to one central government.

Hell even during the early colonial days we've read of riot, protest when colonial masters tried to implement tax systems even if the revenue will be used for public good.

The phrase what are you brining to the table .. has grossly been misunderstood, some men that even ask the question don't even know why they are asking the question, while on the other hand some women fly into a fit of rage or keep dodging the question, why they are angry they don't even know, its just a psychological impulse,

first of all it is not mandatory for the lady to actually bring finance into the mix but it helps so that should not be the centre of the question, so the men asking and referring to finance really shouldn't do that, focus on what she is supposed to bring

Well that the African way also South America too in fact most part of the world.
The most prosperous in the family will always pay his taxes to the family. In western system its paid to the government who in turn invest in other areas but here you pay into your family. That's the woven of our society, don't be deceive to fully adopt an alienated concept that will cause division between you and your family and its extension because they won't see it as such.

Yeah that's why Nigeria shouldn't have fully adopted the western taxing model.
People easily pay tax for a small control group/and cooperation with their direct oversight than paying to a large central government overseeing wide range of demographic. Reason why our tax model isn't working, we are one of the lowest in the world in terms of accruing tax bracket.

The solution? Make tax payments as homogeneous as possible, people should pay tax in the smallest construct as their village to people related in ancestry.
Or in decides on the central tax collection model then lower your taxes% so that the other can be used for family tax.
If I pay 10% to the central government and pay 15% to my family, that's 25% which is low-fair in most part of the world, as some charges up to 45%.

Let Nigeria government try raise any tax and see if the people will comply, we can't because we have black tax to pay, and as long as our socioeconomic conditions persist with majority of the population in poverty as the government remains clueless, expect more black tax relatives known or unknown especially if you're well to do.

do you understand black tax, black tax is wrong eg its not the duty of the 1st child to send his young brothers to skol, its the parents, lets plan the children we want to have against our productive years meaning your own sweat sends your own children to skol not another child

Get money for future dey tell your papa in nigeria- A business man with no pension benefits, no life insurance package, luckly he was able to build his own house, old (60yrs+), no health insurance package, etc that na him responsibility to send your younger ones to school.
Our system is not fixed for this even if it might seems logical to you
