Bad news for the naysayers. They will soon come up with another wailing theory.

People that will gather and commit mass suicide when Nigeria begins to experience better economy.

Article wey no concern obi in any way. This is how you'll see Obi in every nexus for the rest of your miserable existence.
You're slowly running mad but no one wants to tell you

Why are you so angry that I mentioned your Pandora Gbajue candidate in response to an ipob Obidient who brought Tinubu and Lagos unnecessary into a thread that is strictly about Dangote refinery? If you see nothing wrong with that comment, why are you hypocritically upset with my response?

I pray and hope the refinery favour Nigeria.I don't like Dangote.I still feel it was an error to give him license to build such a huge refinery. If 5 persons were given license to 650,000 barrel per day refinery,at least 3 would have been up and running by now.GEJ made mistake by approving 650,000 barrel refinery for only Dangote.
So issuing Dangote refinery meant no other person was or could be issued a licence?
If you don't know what to say why not be silent?

Which other country is producing Agbami crude oil like Nigeria? The crude oil was gotten in the Niger delta.
Stop deceiving the public.

It's stated the crude was imported to augment local supplies which is in shortfall. And it is Agbami crude oil from Niger Delta.

No, it would not improve the Nigerian economy.

For Nigeria to have a better economy, it must be an actively exporting economy that exports manufactured goods and services, has a high tax uptake so that it can be made attractive to investors, and must have a working power sector that is deregulated.
..... These conditions can't all be achieved even in 10 years and as such we must begin from somewhere

Good but for how long will the country continues to import crude oil especially when we're just rejoicing in hope that the commencement of business at the refinery automatically means no kinda oil importation? But see where we still find ourselves. I think only GOD can save us now.

Basically, we will have to stop importing refined petroleum products. That alone will save us millions of dollars that we usually use to pay for imported petroleum products. With more dollars saved, CBN will have more forex to defend and stabilize the Naira.

Again, a lot of jobs will be created. The byproducts of crude oil will also be a source of raw materials for local Agriculture and manufacturing. The gains are enormous.
All good on paper, however come to think of this, Did the ban on importation of cement give us any of thos benefits you wrote up there?

Quoting industry sources and tanker tracking data, S&P Global, in a report on its website, spglobal.com, said that the OTIS tanker, carrying a 950,000 barrel cargo of Nigeria’s Agbami crude, set sail on December 6 and is currently en route to Lekki, the nearest land port to Dangote’s offshore crude receiving terminal.

The tanker is expected to arrive on December 7 around 8pm

Cement and petrol are not the same. Petrol affects everything in Nigeria and cement does not. Almost half of our forex earnings goes into importation of fuel and saving that is huge.
