If I have to say It's been how many years we've asked for Niger bridge and yet nothing. Ndi-igbo we need to come together, unite together and try and assert how much it will cost to make such bridge if it well in our budget, we should just build it ourselves collectively as a group. That's my own two cents in the matter.

keep on waiting for abandoned properties , while ur parents are out there shamelessly dancing at the airport in order to welcome gbenga daniel just to get a little peanut from the devil. Anyway, i wont blame them cos staying at home will to being drowned by flood or fashola will repartriate their mendicant arse to oyo and other Yoruba-almajiri-producing states.

do igbos really need the second niger bridge, bridge to the past or bridge to no where. I really think what igbos need now is a deep sea port in the neighbouring south south and a complimentary international airport. With the direction nigeria is taking a second niger bridge is now unneccessary but ibaka port will do.

If the fg does noting about enugu airport then the whole east can come and re build uli airport or a new gateway airport that can fly both day and night

Incompetent people harassing other incompetent people for dog bones

You are the richest, you are the smartest, you own everything in Nigerian, but when it comes to responsibility, you are all of a sudden incompetent and incapable and it's up to other people.

Build your own damn bridge and quit acting like slaves begging for freedom,

Losers,

^^^You need to be careful what you say. Igbos are asking for their due, no more and no less. You can count on one hand Federal Govt projects in the South East, so no one can accuse us of being greedy. The Federal Govt has a provision in the budget every year for capital projects, but i guess you're saying Ndigbo should keep quite and not ask for any projects to be sited in the South East just to make eko ile happy.

People like to say the South East is the smallest region geographically, hence they should receive the least amount from the federation account. Going by this argument you would have thought that the Federal roads in the zone would be smooth and pot-hole free since much less money is needed to build them. The facts on ground tell a whole different story.

Any fair minded/neutral observer will note that Ndigbo can never be found wanting when it comes to hard graft, self-help projects and community funded initiatives (Owerri Airport is a case in point), but since we're part of this country we are demanding our fair share. People like you with their preconceived and prejudiced notions of Igbos will never understand or accept this.

The Lagos you love to brag about: whatever success that has been recorded thus far is partly down to the tax payers and residents of which Igbos make a sizeable percentage.

As for me, the government has proved INCOMPETENT on numerous occasions, why continue to battle the Govt for the next 3/4/5/10 years and don't get anything whereas you can erect the structure under a private partnership and get things moving. Do you know how much business a modern bridge incorporated with HSR will bring? As much as I like and want the FG to build it, continuously fighting all these years without any positive result is as well a waste. If the gateway into the SE is built under private investors, utilizing the multiplier effect principle, that will boom the economic activity that the benefits WILL DEFINITELY outweigh the cost.

Story. They should just enjoy the fresh air please. By the way if the government uses PPP for infrastructural development what will they do with the taxes and other revenues? just wondering.
