For the records, Sanwo-Olu did not build any rail line called "Red Line"

Nigerian politicians can be so deceptive. The cunning man simply picked the portion of the FG's funded (Lagos - Ibadan) rail line that falls inside Lagos territory and nicknamed it "Red Line"

The so-called "Red Line" starting from Agbado - Agege - Ikeja - Oshodi - Yaba/Oyigbo is a part of the larger federal govt owned Lagos - Ibadan railway project that falls under Lagos territory.

Sanwo-Olu should explain it this way to Lagosians, he won't die. All the governor is doing to procure the train coaches
.

1. You are wrong, they are using FG tracks from Agbado to Ebute Metta Junction, but the rail system starts from Iddo so the LASG had to lay their standard gauge tracks from Iddo to Ebute Metta so we have FG tracks and LASG tracks.

2. LASG built the multiple overpasses and overhead bridges, not the FG.

3. LASG built the rail stations, from Agbado, Iju, Agege, Ikeja, Shogunle, Oshodi, Mushin, Yaba, Ebute Metta (EBJ), Iddo, not the FG.

4. LASG bought the coaches, not the FG.

The LASG is responsible for almost everything, the only aspect of the project the FG contributed is the portion of the FG tracks.

Seems you know little or nothing about the project or you have your own grievance or disingenuous motives.

Oga, I am not Ibo sir ... because in your foolishness anyone that criticises your gods is Ibo.

Second, counter the facts I put there or keep shut. I don't have time for childish banters.

Oga, I know these two States very well.
You can't compare Osun state to Anambra

There are no such 'wretched souls' in Anambra.
Everybody hustles.

See, you live in Lagos, right?
Look around even your own neighborhood you live and tell me how
many 'wretched' Anambra (or Igbo) souls you have around.

I just wonder why you always support, defend and stand up for the SE especially Anambra instead of your own state or region if truly you are not Igbo.

You don't have to act like a coward by denying your true identity, be yourself because you are obviously Igbo and there's nothing wrong with being Igbo.

LASG made use of the corridor but laid additional tracks. How are they going to share a track all through with the FG trains when they plan a longer distance and will move more frequently? Remember that a track also leads to the airport area. This was non existent before.

They've also built stations all along the route. The new flyovers are additional infrastructure to make it easier for the trains (including FG trains) to pass with minimal interaction with human and vehicular traffic.

Let's praise when it's deserved and criticise constructively when things are not done right.

Oga, let's put things in perspective.

The "Blue Line" on the Mile 2 axis is a wholly Lagos State project built with loans from the World Bank.

The so-called "Red Line" is a federal govt project. Sanwo-Olu is only procuring coaches to provide intra-city service
.
Only shallow mumus can be fooled by your warped logic.
Did the Federal government pays for the coaches?
Did they pay for the terminals?
Keep hating, that's all you and yours are good at anyway. Lagos is moving forward.

Gentlemen, it is okay. This project when commissioned will be a game changer for lagosians in area of transportation because it is cutting across the most densely populated portion of the state. So, who ever does it I give a thumps up.
The eagles will be playing today. So far they have succeeded in re-writting their story. I had to bribe my friend with a bottle of beer to agree to watch the last match. I will also beg you people to watch and celebrate the eagles to a well deserved victory. This Nigeria must progress by force.

The Blue Rail line remains the most successful project embarked upon by the Sanwo- Olu led Government.

Last December 2023, most diasporan who visited Nigeria especially those who live in the UK commended the ambience of the station & the coaches.

Infact, a UK based traveller noted that the coaches are cleaner than those plying the London Underground.

The Blue line passenger customer experience rate is above 80% and commendation should be given to LAMATA as few Government Agencies run efficiently as they do.

The Red line will be projected to convey more passengers as the axis is densely populated with Alimosho LG having the largest LG population in Lagos & Nigeria.

I will advise a dedicated barricade on the train tracks since they are powered by electricity to avoid mortality.

A high percentage of the people in the Agbado-Iddo Axis are low income earners and may need a more detailed approach to educating them on the dangers of exposure to the tracks.

Think of the rail lines as roads. Going by this logic, is Ekenedili Chuckwu or Ifesinach owned by the Federal government since none of these transport companies built the roads?
If you don't understand something, always ask. There's no point in Lagos building separate lines if they can use the ones already in place.
Otherwise, Ekenedili Chukwu would have to build his own roads before he can go anywhere.
Smart work!

By the way..the 8 mega terminals and overpasses and the rail extension from ebute Metta to Oyingbo are purely Lagos additions to the line.
Lagos only shares the tracks, all other infrastructures are separated.

When red line starts working,LASG metro will only stops at Lagos terminals which are 8 in total. Lagos ebutte Metta terminus is in oyingbo..they are currently building a new terminus at Agbado.

What you called few EXTRA is not few bro..Go yo YouTube and type LAGOS RED LINE..YOU will see alot of videos done by people on the projects for good 2 to 3yrs

The rail track is what you should be described as "almost everything" ..the tracks are the most expensive..

Technically speaking the FG own and built majority of that line..LASG just added coaches and stations..I doubt it cost LASG up to 50bn naira..where as FG spent over N608 billion or ($1.6 Billion) as at the time of construction of the line to Ibadan.

Those rails was rehabilitated, some stopped working, Lagos state did a total overhaul in that aspect from reconstruction , to building of stations and procuring coaches. Sometimes I wonder what’s your problem with this silly attitude if I’m a governor I won’t bother to work because of people like you , but on a second thought not everyone are like you .

I think you people are intentionally trolling for attention because this doesn't make sense.

We are talking about a 37km Red line and this one is talking about a 150km Lagos Ibadan railway.

Are you saying the FG spent $1.5 Billion on the 37km Red line tracks?

1 Red Line overpass alone costs more than the 37km track LASG is using.

No, Iddo is 4 miles away from Ebute Metta and you still have to cross Oyingbo from Iddo to get to Ebute Metta.

This means LASG built 4km tracks from Iddo to Ebute Metta.

You are nothing but a waste of time, you are even going out of your way not to make sense.

Boss..
That over pass is not more than 3 billion naira each..

The cost of all overpass and flyovers, plus stations can not surpass the cost of that double track standard rail of 37km ..

Go and find out how much Amaechi spent on incomplete monorail..

Kudos to Sanwo Olu but most of the work was done by FG even the blue line Sanwo completed...most of the works has been done substantially by Fashola.. including a train bought and parked at national theatre before Sanwo Olu took office

Sanwo Olu built the marina station completed the marina track and bought 2 trains..even to this..he begged the CBN to loan him 70 billion naira courtesy of Buhari's approval..
