State police cannot work in NIgeria.

Now, before you start calling me anti-progress, and anti-People, and fulani lackey, I believe that every state should have a police force. But in NIgeria, we got two issues

1.Most of the states do not have the funding to fund a properly equipped police force. Yes, the security votes they give governors could help, but to form a police force, with working equipment, forensics, training, and well armed is going to take more than just security vote.

Our current VP when he was governor used his security vote one year to buy 48 hilux trucks for the security forces. NOw imagine he was fuding state police. THat means after buying the hilux, he has no cash left over. OK.o. And value of naira has fallen since 2013.

2.Tribal and religious bias. SO what happens when there is tribal and religious conflict, and the police is majoirty from one side of the tribe? SOme people can still remember the pogroms of the 1960's. Police could do nothing. MOst of them were from one side.

ANyway, until states are ready to tax more of their gdp, and until we wake up and realize why we need fairness, we are not ready for state police. (Splitting the country won't solve the problems either)

Something dat should have been done since... I think once every Nigerian gets into power and sees money we suddenly lose our ability to think correctly....

I'm jst reading now dat an oba who happened to be a retired General was killed in kwara state and his family carted away.... I jst come dey wonder how dem go kill retired General.... General wey no die during him active military years oh... And to even make matters worst, d retired General na king.... If dem fit kill king wetin dem no fit do to d subjects....

Our lawmakers better start thinking outside d box, if not all dis insecurity go soon reach una oh

I honestly believe the Nigeria government is being blackmailed by Fulani herdsmen

This is the main reason they can not CAPTURE or KILL them

Fulani herdsmen from outside NIGERIA have video footage of our politicians asking them to come into NIGERIA to help them win elections

This is the reason their leaders told Buhari in 2019 that THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT KNOWS THE REASON THEY ARE ON RAMPAGE

That the NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT HAS NOT MET THEIR OWN END OF THE BARGAIN HENCE THEY ARE ON RAMPAGE

The herdsmen may be threatening the government that IF they are killed - they will release these videos to NIGERIANS on social media

TRUST ME THE FALL OUT will be suicidal - for these politicians as citizens may embark on massive riots and ENDSARS will be a child's play

THIS is the reason the security agencies pretend as IF these rag tag militias kidnapping our people, raping our women and causing all

manner of havoc are invincible - Even senior members of the armed forces are in this same BLACKMAIL dilemma

IT IS TIME FOR THE APC Led Government to come out clean and tell NIGERIANS what that agreement is - THE DAY THEY TELL NIGERIANS

that will be the end of this insecurity - They are trying to negotiate with FULANI HERDSMEN to leave but the bargaining power is in the hands

of the herdsmen. THIS IS WHY they treat them with kid gloves even when they manage to arrest them - none stands trial - AND

even when they are locked up - A jail break is organized for them to walk away - and ONCE they "REPENT" - they are given money - recruited in

to the security services of the ARMY - POLICE and what have you - IS THIS NORMAL ? ---- there is a grand BLACKMAIL GOING ON and

NIGERIANS need to ask TINUBU and the APC to come out CLEAN RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! angry angry angry angry angry angry angry angry

It's good but the fear is Power drunk leaders using them to persecute opponents. Imagine someone like Wike controlling his own police.

Yes. Let every state protect his state.

Same Tinubu advocated for state police when he was Lagos state governor.

What’s the Yoruba Governor’s doing about Amotekun security network? 2 kings have been killed in Ekiti already and nothing has been done to fish out the culprits . Very unfortunate situation in Nigeria 🇳🇬

Problems not donating those doing all this are fellow Nigerians
Father or son of some people

Report them and let law be cutting them don’t imprison them.

Imagine Governor Yaya Bello with a state police, imagine emperor Wike with his own police? The governors are already too powerful

I think their immunity should be removed first, before adding to their power

And the local government autonomy should be taken seriously, to check balance them

EdiskyHarry:
Nice one
People that cannot conduct credible Local Government elections in their respective states want state police?

How will the Governor choose the commissioner of state police, will it be established on ethnicity? Take for example Esan says it is their turn to govern, Binis say hell no.

Or Delta state for example, will the Itsikiris allow the commissioner of state police to be an Urhobo or ijaw person?

You clowns should keep deceiving yourselves to prove the fact that you are all Failures looking for an excuse.
