donborg:Remember than we just had independence from Greay Britain, we were still influenced by western values and principles. Just like in SouthAfrica ,After the apartheid, things were still done relatively well, but as time went on the country continued its downward trend. |

blueAgent: South Africa practices the Presidential system of government. And their country will continue its downward trend as long as they don't have weapons and guns to protect their democracy like the Americans. The Presidential system of government is useless without Armed citizens to protect their rights and freedoms |

donborg:What's the major difference between presidential and parliamentary? Apart from power been vested in the legislative assembly in Parliamentary, while in presidential, power is vested in the executive. My argument is that Nigerian political class are so greedy and united in corruption and bad leadership. They would never impeach any leader, who faours them. There are other countries that practices presidential system without the citizens having access to arms, and they are doing well, eg France, Germany, Belgium, Mexico. |

blueAgent: Oga the main difference is that in the parliamentary system, a new election can be called anytime a vote of no confidence is served on a prime Minister but can't be done in the Presidential system where the executive rules till the end of his tenure. Another major difference is the lack of a constitution. In the Parliamentary system, a flawed and rigged election can always be corrected by calling for new elections at anytime so no need for going to the Election petition tribunal |

donborg: You keep repeating the same thing, while missing the elephant in the room. Let me ask you, let's assume we are in a parliamentary system, with APC winning majority seats in Parliament and Tinubu became the prime minister, Do you think or believe that the APC members would declare vote of no confidence in Tinubu? Please be honest with your response |
Re: How Nigeria’s Economy Nosedived In 10 Years by donborg(m): 10:14am On Feb 15 |
blueAgent: You still don't get it. In the parliamentary system, if the APC members fails to do a vote of no confidence in Tinubu, the head of State, who cannot be a member of APC, can call for new elections in the Parliament for the post of prime Minister. Also one part of the ruling coalition govt(usually of the Head of state) can form a new coalition with other members of the opposition and form a government. It that doesn't work, then a new election will be called |
