.Nigerian Troops On Saturday Killed 11 Fighters From The Islamist Sect Boko Haram During A Shootout I Nigerian troops on Saturday killed 11 fighters from the Islamist sect Boko Haram during a shootout in the northeastern city of Maiduguri, a spokesman said. “Today, in an exchange of fire during an cordon-and-search operation conducted by the JTF, 11 Boko Haram members were killed,” Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Mohammed told AFP by telphone, referring to the army’s Joint Task Force unit. Mohammed said no casualties were suffered by the JTF, a specialised squad set up last year to crack down on Boko Haram, a shadowy group that is blamed for the deaths of more than 200 people already this year. Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state, was placed under a state of emergency on December 31 by President Goodluck Jonathan along with other parts of the country hard hit by Boko Haram’s attacks. How are you sure that those killed are boko men,if it is true then jtf should prepard 4 the worst,but am not sure dis is true i dont trust our security agencies any longer.where is sokoto? The cause of ur headache is fever dont treat headache treat fever,kill sokoto and the slowpoke that show his face on youtube to challange the federal government. |

Some keep saying Nigeria doesn't have intelligence, sit there and keep deceiving yourselves. What type of intelligence are you looking for that will be made known to the public? Intelligence is meant to be "Secret" or "Top Secret", sorry if they don't come out to tell you what kinds of equipment they use in their covert operations. Perhaps, 2012 budget sheds more light on the defense budget appropriation bill, I'm not saying Nigeria has superb intelligence but at least they have modern equipment to do their job if they wanted to. |

Kudos JTF.All this garbage about innocent civilians is repulsive.cordon and search means they got an information of the presence of some members and isolated the area.of course the boko fools had to fight back by opening fire on the troops who in turn wasted them.Please lets encourage our security operatives who are risking their precious life trying to protect us.This is a war situation. |
