My question is why are all these our big men not producing , do they always have to become president to produce or what ? Why is everyone not trying to provide solutions in their little capacity, why is everyone waiting for the president to do everything. How can a new president who was sworn in less than 1 year turn the country into a production country. How long does it take to set up a big production company if I may ask. There are lots of questions to ask but I stop here. Can only the president change Nigeria the way we want it, what of governors, senators ,house of reps members ,LG chairmen etcz , where are they factored in this consumption to production era. Magabush1:That’s because you don’t know how many people have gotten their fingers burnt because they ventured into production. The environment is very harsh for production hence why foreign companies are leaving in droves. Leadership offers a unique opportunity to confront the bottlenecks. It’s not a roadside mechanic or a teacher that will confront the organized crime of oil theft or insecurity. Rather than make excuses for leaders living largesse yet doing nothing, it’s our responsibility to demand accountability from them. 1 Like |

Mvnster: Do you know what I think? I definitely think that unless you push these so-called Governors to a critical do or die point....as in to the point of deliberately WITHOLDING a state's FAAC until they have provided serious evidence of cultivating millions of hecters of various crops in their domains and aggressively bombarding these terrorist herdsmen and their economic sbaotage....nothing might happen. The Governor's Hail Mary escape has always the easy oil-dependent monthly FAAC. But when you begin to connect any state's FAAC to proven farm output ....that is when they will slap themselves up and begin to go down to the grassroots and get things done. Most prefer Abuja for now. 2 Likes |

casualobserver: Tinubu does not patronize our local doctors, he will always fly to France for medical treatments paying in foreign currencies. Same with Buhari and I never hear people like yourself complaining. |

Why have mtn, dstv, Airtel which are foreign companies and highest makers of money in Nigeria not left. What are other companies doing that they left and these ones haven't packed up. Lookmun: |

Biodun556:Frankly people's anger is not with Tinubu. Their anger is Tinubu agreeing to form an alliance with a disaster (Buhari) for his own selfish interest |

PastorOlokonla: the problem with personalising these issues is that the core of the matter evades you. it does not matter who is in power the problem is the same and the solution is the same, indeed all the candidates said as much. If anyone is trying to play politics ask themn where would they have gotten the money to pay subsidies or defend the naira? Susbisy has snuck back in though the backdoor and i am against it because it will result in the same problem of smuggling into neighbouring countries. If you think things are bad, the only reason petrol is N600 is because we floated the Naira. casualobserver: |

Biodun556: Stop believing this useless crap of lies pushed by the Agbado govt. This Same statement is crammed and repeated by all Agbadorians. Who has been defending which naira? The truth is that all our crude oil has been mortgaged to pay back loans, now very or no Forex inflows. |

casualobserver: Stubbornness will not allow you people to understand that it is foolish to remove fuel subsidy and float naira at the same time. The buhari 8 years of suffering clearly has not taught you any lesson. By the time Tinubu is through with y'all your brain will open to start thinking straight. This is introduction. The main track will soon start playing |

J3susFr3ak:Alternatively allocations from the centre should be pegged at the igr from each state. Ideally we should return to regionalism and scrap these states, their responsibilities should be handled at the local govt level, coordinated at the regional gov board. |

Mvnster: Regarding regionalism...I agree with you. Like I mentioned elsewhere on this recently, the North Central needs to be broken into 2 or three cohesive regions since it is not exactly homogenous. The Middle Belt would need its own MidCentral Region in that regard. You do have a point since not all states have the same type of land mass for potential agricultural output. Some states bordering the ocean can learn what the Alaskans and Japanese are doing....purchase deep sea fishing vessels and trawl the deep oceans for fish....or alternatively go into fresh water aquaculture on land. Other urbanized places like the SE and SS can explore the Urban farming trend. Places like Singapore are training people to convert certain types of roof tops into farmland to grow food. I suppose my bigger point was to stress that the larger a state's land mass relative to its population...the greater the penalty it would be for the state if it deliberately wastes away its agricultural potential by currently pandering to terrorists. This is particularly focused on the NW and NE states who currently originate a bulk of the country's terrorism on farmers because of their leader's asnine policies... Pegging FAAC to IGR makes sense. But there should be a serious penalty when a large state with a large population and vast lands chooses to only rely on Abuja's monthly FAAC and terror grooming its males to breed on terror... Instead of training these future potential terrorists to become responsible farmers. 1 Like |

Watianoengineer: What was the philosophical slogan of that inexperienced man during the campaign "Let's move from consumption to Production" But your Tinubu was busy then sharing money to delegates, to the point that he devalued Naira and started sharing Dollars to electoral delegates ..... His slogan was " what Naira can't do, Dollar will do it" Go and check how much Tinubu wasted to be thr President of Nigeria .... Then go and check how much , Nigerians brought forward to use and support Peter Obi.... Keep on deceiving yourself, it is now we will know those under TINUBU umbrella for the proper sharing .....lols Those like you that he doesn't even know your descendants, will suffer in penury voting him in to RENEW YOUR HUNGER after BUHARI showed you shege ....lols |

Biodun556: But you are doing that by borrowing money. That's what they call hit and run solution, fire brigade approach like an economic amateur borrowing a garment at huge cost to cover your naked. dness. What you will pay back will be more than the garment you borrowed. Is this how tinubu handled Lagos economy as governor? Distasteful and disgusting. I know you'll defend him since ur interests isn't progress, but religion and tribal stupidity. |
