Opposition need to learn from Tinubu on how to be an opposition.

Since Tinubu and his political party assumed power in 2015, opposition ceased to exist in Nigeria.

No loud am too much.

Dafty Ducks

I only hope Tinubu's mastery of politics and his giant strides in Lagos, would also be replicated at the federal level during his 8year presidential regime.
Re: NLC Suspends 2-Day Nationwide Protest, Gives Reasons by thomasjoe(m): 5:15am On Feb 28
I give it to Tinubu on this .
For police to be leading protest in Lagos and sharing water to protesters yesterday...shows advanced strategy.
Sadly though, the hunger in the land continues!

LegendHero:
Lol, all those who are in the business of sponsoring protests have seen that it is not business as usual during the period of Tinubu.

Tinubu strategically handled all items.

—SE: Normally, Peter Obi/PDP and his gangs of Obedient should have been at the forefront of the protest as opposition. But Tinubu played on their psyche. Prop some people up, then they believe joining protest mean they will be part of people complaining about hunger. So strategically, they are working for Tinubu without knowing. Just feed his ego, and an average Obidient lose his sense of reasoning. Even when parents are now killing kids because of extreme hunger in the SE, Obedients online still believe they are not hungry. What an irony.

—Northerners: In their usual game, they don’t have the moral authority to lead a protest because they know Buhari landed us in this mess and during that period, they failed to protest. So how do you sponsor violent protest when you don’t have the moral support?

—SW: Normally, SW don’t usually speak with one voice coz of 60/40 opposition divide and even if genuine people are protesting, Jagaban people also blended with the crowd and declared hunger and hardship induced by the polices of Tinubu. So when Yorubas themselves are speaking up against Tinubu and complaining of hunger, where is the moral support for opposition to lead a protest? How do you lead protest when the actual people you’re trying to fight against are leading it? So there is controlled protest strategically by same SW politicians to water down effect of any other protest in other part of the country.

—TUC and NLC: Jagaban just try to make sure no amount of protest embarked upon by these guys will carry weight. TUC president saw this and baba backed out of the protest and NLC Ajaero who is another Tinubu tool saw his protest failing on the very first day. An almighty NLC couldn’t even win the confidence of the workers anymore. Ajaero is toothless.

—Police: Usually police are always antagonist of protesters. But the rule play is different now. Police are actually the one cheering with the protesters and even going as far as joining them and providing snacks. So psychologically, the protesters see that the government is part of them. Even if they want to be furious, they will use this to give benefit of the doubt.

Now all this point to one thing. Nigerians believe in Tinubu and they have tried in giving him benefit of the doubt. It’s not like the man jazzed everybody, coz with the hard reforms he embarked on and the hardship that follows it at first, NO PRESIDENT can do this without NLC and opposition shutting the country down. ONLY Jagaban can do that and people will still be patient with him.

Lastly, Jagaban should ensure the promised minimum wage and other intervention come fast. This magic might not last long if people don’t see the promise fulfilled. He is so lucky to have even lasted this long with little nation rocking protest.

Tinubu should strategically bring dollar to 100 naira with the speed with which he strategically stopped protest. He should make economy better to save your Papa in the village from dieing of hunger.

Stop overrating that useless man in aso rock. This is how you guys kept overating buhari until he destroyed the ZOO, you are still overrating a man that has never done anything right since he assumed office aside complaints. When will you have sense?

So how do you lead a protest when you think your people are not impacted? I thought it was only SW people that are hungry?

So what happened to all the Rich SE’ner and Bayelsans and why exactly will they join a protest?

The people you mentioned should be in the best position to answer your question. I am sure my post is generic and doesn't make allusion to any region. You may ask bayelsans and South easterners that if things continue to go up indefinitely, will they chose to keep quiet or react. I can't answer for then.

One of the greatest victory of this protest, if not the greatest, is getting south east to see it as a 'we against them'.

I'm glad they didn't join bcus na 'go' dem dey hear, dem nor dey hear 'come'.
With their level of bitterness and irrationality, I'm sure their involvement would've led to chaos and anarchy.
cool

Thanks for proving my point!

Hahahaha, you are expecting igbos to come out and protest because of hunger?

Even if you rally for it, many people won't close their shops just to come out and protest because of hunger, majority are not hungry.

When Nigerians are ready for a revolt, the SE will join, we don't do petty.

The purpose of proposing the intended UNREST was to cause CHAOS that could lead to anarchy but the SW which was planned to be the EPICENTER for it to gain momentum saw the written clearly on the wall and vied to cool off the intended effect. Mission failed.

NLC goofed to stop the protest, how will one-day protest achieve something. You shouldn't stop protest until you start seeing results. If the govt can be proactive in the needs of politicians and their cabals, only continuous protest can wake them up to the needs of the poor masses.

I have said it before that these guys ain't serious, the Govt is just using them to control Nigerians....but d truth is, if the hunger is not checkmated....the real protest would start naturally just like the naira scarcity period and endsars, by then not even the nlc or govt would be able to control it....hunger and anger is growing gradually...
