I agree. Just increase minimum wage to N75, 000 so that buying bread of N1, 400 won't be so hard

Lol. You think if they increase it the price of bread will remain 1400? You should be prepared to buy the bread at 5k per loaf with that minimum wage

I totally support the reform, we can't continue as tenants to borrowers in our own country flows with everything to sustain us.

Enough of fake life by standing on borrowing unecessar and wasting resources.

No pain no gain.

Keep standing with reforms just like you did with Buhari whose reforms ruined Nigeria and the one you are currently supporting is burying the country with his reforms. Una mumu can last a thousand years.

As bad as the situation of the country is...and as docile as many of President Tinubu's cabinet members seems to be...

This Minister of Information has been up to his task.. performing his duties excellently well so far... A great departure from Lai Muhammad!!!

I agree with you. The real problem is that these steps were being taken long ago but THE PEOPLE of Nigeria didn't want to go along.

In Jan 2012 President Jonathan abolished fuel subsidies and tried hard to pass the PIB.

The Nigerian people rejected his policies and chose to accept APC pronouncements. In 2015 they made it official and elected President Buhari. That was the start of our ruin. Everyone is suffering the results. Hopefully we've all learned some important lessons.

Good Luck to Nigeria.

Thank you comrade. I knew Gej tried it but was opposed, however, are we going to say because Gej was opposed and we should not address this issue once and for all? This is the question I kept asking people.

The mistake was done, yes but let's correct it now before it is too late regardless who is trying to rectify it all that matters is let's face the pain and fix it once and for all. Two wrong can't make right.

I appreciate your understanding bro.

God bless.

Respect!!!

I totally support President Tinubu for what he's doing NOW even as I condemn his execrable campaign against the withdrawal of fuel subsidy in Jan 2012 and his general support for socialist policies in general. The only reservation I have now is that he's not doing enough to move Nigeria away from a state dominated structure to a free market system.

What should he do? I've repeatedly stated what is needed to make Nigeria a prosperous nation.

IbeOkehie:

As for President Tinubu my stand remains that it's too early to judge. He's our President and deserves all the support and good advice we can muster. It's not easy for him to make such hard but necessary decisions.

Fuel subsidy and all other subsidies should be COMPLETELY abolished and then the naira COMPLETELY floated.

All import and export bans or restrictions for ALL legal goods and services should be abolished. Rice, maize, cement, meat, clothing, machinery, cars, cups, fertilizer, whatever you want to import or export, go ahead.

All federal price regulations should be abolished and that includes minimum wage.

Abolish all federal income taxes, both personal and corporate. Switch to taxing consumption, Constitutionally capped at say 2 to 9%. Institute property and income taxes for civilian FEDERAL EMPLOYEES only and send the money to the states of origin of such employees. These and other measures should make federal employment unattractive.

All government ownership of commercial companies, resources and infrastructue including broadcast, bridges, airport and sea ports, educational and health institutions should be abolished... most especially for federal government. This means repeal of Land Use Act, Petroleum Industry Act and Solid Minerals Act.

Nigeria should adopt and strictly protect private property rights.

Do these and the Nigerian economy will prosper and develop very fast. Nigeria will be as rich as South Africa in a decade.

The problem is that Nigerians are now a fundamentally socialist oriented people, which is why they voted for APC in 2015.

APC is a socialist party. They just can't bring themselves to do what is needed. That's a pity. Because what we need most is FREEDOM.

Good Luck to Nigeria.

It's a madness to say that Nigeria economy is distress.

The only people that can say that sentence are those that want Tinubu to keep borrowing money to continuesly feed their ass and pass down suffering to the next generation.

Tinubu is managing Nigeria in a new style, which means that, He will generate all the money to run government internally.

The heavy load of subsidy is no more there and the naira has been floated... That alone is a win to the Nigeria future.

If Tinubu can continue this style..... E sure die that the good future of Nigeria will be secured.
.

Do you know how much he has borrowed since assuming office?

Meanwhile, in other news, the Edo people have been using the Obidient movement to cash out. Bottom line is -- the Edo people have taken the OBI MOVEMENT as their cash cow. Lol.

Exactly. I’m not surprised what is going on in LP. It is just the younger brother of Apc and pdp. And the stupidity you talked about in lp cuts across all parties. Imagine that bullion vans entered a man’s house on the eve of election and there are people who believe it had nothing to do with the election. You can see how daft people are.
