to win election in Edo State, you need Edo South plus Edo North or Central. None of the zone can win Election alone. Obaseki had edo south and central in that election.

Check 2008-2016 results where APC usually get bloc votes in Edo north and compare it to 2020.apc usually get close to 100k in Edo north with shuaibu but without him,they struggled.now that shuaibu,orbih are neutral,there's nothing stopping a rout.but both APC and pdp are evenly matched in south and central.even if pdp win in south and central,it will be narrow and insignificant.
Look at your state delta,sheriff won mainly with votes from the north.even if agege won south same way he won central ,he would still lose
