Every right thinking human should be weary of investing in a place where tribalism and bigotry reigns supreme

So one man's tourist business that encroached on a proposed federal project to open up 800km of coastal shorelines is now antiibo.

It didn't occur to them that more real estate investments will spring up along this ongoing coastal highway .

Soludo has destroyed hundreds of properties in Onitsha, no one is complaining

I don't understand why they complain about everything happening in Lagos a lot.

Them no go hear, but their investment go hear am! If you have properties or sellable investment in Lagos, kindly walk up to a bank, take a short term loan, equivalent or 80% of the investment worth, using your property as collateral. Kindly default and allow the bank take the property!

Divest from Lagos. Locate any town or village with access to sea outlet and buy properties. One day, infrastructures go reach there and the Lagos property market will go bust!

If only you know "investors" and "market" are inseperable ... you will understand you can't demarket "Lagos"
Risk & Loss are inevitable when it comes to investment, what happen to Abramhovic in london over chelsea is there a replica or similar ordeal in Lagos

Even though none of Landmark even centre building was demolished, you people are still hellbent on spreading propaganda about Lagos state and the FG.

You invest in Lagos or not, the state will still be marching on.

When it comes to Lagos,

It is not a question of tribe

It is a question of politics

Banana Island was taken over by Nigerian government from Chief Adebayo Adeleke and till date, no compensation has been paid

The landmark estate guy probably felt nothing will happen to his estate, yet, he has fallen victim to government policy

Learn from history or be doomed to make the same mistake

Granted that Landmark is a competition to Eko Hotel, owned by Tinubu's prodigy, it exploited free access to the beach and exploited Lagosians.

Did you expect the same man who owns Eko Hotel, Eko Atlantic city stake, and the Contractor handling to Coastal Road to spare his competition.

None of his buildings are destroyed though, but if you do not want to invest in Lagos, where else do you want to invest? Most of you have forgotten the roads to your villages and only remember them during Christmas.

Are demolition not taking place in South East? These losers just love to wail unnecessarily and cry ethnic victimisation at any given opportunity to have their way.
One would think only Igbos reside in Lagos.
You've been saying people should not invest in Lagos from time immemorial, but lagos keep moving forward while losers keep wailing. Bunch of empty chest beaters.
As we speak many of your sisters and brothers are escaping to South West through midnight buses.

The section demolished was illegally sited on federal land and the demolition excercise carried out by federal govt through the ministry of works headed by an Ibo man.

One of them on this thread is even asking that they de-invest from Lagos and invest in coastal towns which I infer is in the same SS that this road network project is meant to open up.

Now tell me how SS people will want to sell prime real estate to them after they opposed the project that will make the adjourning lands along the route spike in value?

This coastal highway project normally should attract commendation and support from their likes as it will surely see to other coastal towns in the SS opening up for business, investments and tourism.

But for their myopic hatred inspired by pure bigotry for anything good outside their region , they have now shot themselves on the foot and kneecaps.
Some of you always think you are smart but people easily see through your hypocrisy. Now you love SS people so much but you didn't start the work from calabar but started it from your bedroom, so that SS part of the work will be easily abandoned while your part will be done.

Why not your SE?

Have you forgotten about abandoned property so soon?

Igbos only love to make themselves victims of everything except when it involves their own, then they keep calm as they are unable to tribalize the situation.

the same people who complain about stagnation complain about development. development comes at a cost

lagos badagry expressway is an example

in 2004 it would take you 2 - 3 hours to drive from ijora to mile 2

the road was a single land failed road

when LASG took over the road from fg and converted it to a ten lane road, multiple factories and businesses on both sides of the road were affected. eleganza had his depot along the road. oando , total, mobil had petrol mega stations on both sides of the expressway. multiple people and businesses were affected. but today the road is done and you can get from orile to mile 2 in an hour. if they fix the bad patches of road, 30 minutes

anyone who wants to 'protect his investment' is free to do so

you want to go and build your factory by a single dirt road in your village - go right ahead. nigeria is full of states with no plans for development. go and build there s. o many empty headed illiterates who think development does not come with multiple cost implications running their mouths on SM for clout.

Orile to mile2 in one hour? you call that development? that road has been on going for the last 12years, it was what was supposed to cut into Badagry up to Benin replublic, please tell me, where that road has stopped now..the project was as useless as not starting because it has not finished after all the years i was in secondary school, enter uni, do masters, get job, born pikins, build house and e still never finish. na wetin u dey call development? jokers

Same way they arrogantly claimed all demolition in Lagos were targeted at them whereas the State was merely determined to clear canal paths that cause severe flooding every year.

They really are a very selfish and hateful people who don't care about the progress of anything or anyone but themselves.

After 2023 General election, Lagos state was exposed.

Investing in Lagos real estate is now a very high risk investment that should be left to the Yorubas only.

There is a time for everything. A time to give birth and a time to die. The time to divest from Lagos has come.

The time to slow down on investing in real estate in Lagos for none Yorubas has come.

Lagos belong to Yorubas, it is high time to divest gradually and allow Yorubas take hold of their Lagos.

I have been sounding this warning.

The earlier people listen to this the better for them anyway

you are free to run to whatever backward shithole you reside in where it would take five hours to traverse a 30 minute journey

one moment you are saying lagos infrastructure is shit - the next you are grinding your teeth about development

no one is fooled by the antics of lazy minded backward thinkers

nigeria is big enough for anyone

anyone who feels his 'investments' are better served in a backwater civil service state with no infrastructure, and a poor client base is free to leave lagos

the people investing in lagos know why they are doing so. those making noise on social media also know why they are doing so

So annoying feeling victimized and wanting your tribe to cry for you but not doing anything for them, and the populace are falling for it.
