I was given a conditional offer at Hull City University for my MSc. My tuition fee is £14,700 which I do not have in full. The university representative have called several times to advise me on how I can pay in installment. But I am required to pay £2000 to make the offer unconditional so I can apply for my visa.

Now, my question is how much do you think I should have in my account that can guarantee my visa, because the £2000 is non-refundable.

That payment ought to be refundable just in case of visa refusal. Success all the way though

I did ielts.The exam needs lots of practise and concentration during the exam.it cost 40k

Anyone in or going to Heriot-Watt university here

Don't use a fixed deposit account. Put the money into a savings account instead. The money you need will depend on your school fees, and your living expenses.

No i'm not a student there. I just googled the university ranking and saw they were sat high up there.

I don't know what the basis of your confusion is, and I don't know how you managed to single out these particular schools and began comparisons, All I know is the former is ranked higher than the latter and as you probably know rankings don't always matter. That's as far as my judgement goes

London is the most expensive city in the UK. If your rent is £500 a month for single bedroom in London you will £300 for double bedroom in Norwich.

Teeside University is cool. I just think sometimes they ask student to write IELTS which is needless for Postgraduate admission

I advise you do IELTS as UKVI has suspended PTE. Also, why did you need either of those exams when there are school that could evaluate you via skype interview and skip the whole stuff?
