It defies all intelligence how people want Feds to pay subsidy and keep price permanently on 65 naira despite changing prices at the World market. Even if a barrel of oil costs less than 50 dollars and price of PMS goes to $300 government must pay subsidy. Its obviously absurd ! |

Subsidy removal is a good thing but people misunderstood what it meant and thats why there is no protest in south east and south south. |

Nigerians should emulate from kano people. See the muslims are praying while the CHRISTIANS are guarding them against the police. It clearly shows that nigerian masses are one but some disgruntled elements are using any tactics at their disposal to cause division into nigerian populace. BOKOHARAM doesn't differentiate between MUSLIMS and CHRISTIANS. Lets shine our eyes and know who our real enemies are irrespective of religion, tribe or geographical location.

mjconcept: Yeah subsidy removal is good, what I'm against is that the provide any alternative to this suffering that's about to hit people. Everyone cannot afford such ridiculous amount of N141 per liter for a nation like Nigeria that's the Top 10 Oil producing nation in the world, YET, the GDP per Capital is about $1,600 annually or $4.40 daily. I think the issue isn't about subsidy but the corruption befalling the system; that's a big menace that can't be controlled by the govt, so who's fault is it? |

The type of protest that will have the most desirable impact on the government would be the one directed around Aso Rock by protesters making sure that Jonathan is unable to come out or enter his residence and office. Also protesters should block any road or entrance to the senate buildings, making sure that senators are unable to sit and have their normal sessions. By so doing, they will hold the politicians hostage and hijack the nation. If protesters can achieve these, then Jonathan and his senators and ministers would be left with no alternative than to listen to the masses. As long as the president and his fellow politicians have the freedom to carry on with their usual work, then it is life as usual. They would not be moved even if the whole of Lagos, Benin, Ilorin or Enugu is burning. They only care about themselves. |

no bi small tin o!from ringroad axis,down to Akpakpava,infact the entire city is full of fierce angry looking protesters.some of them re carrying coffin.some thugs have taken advantage of the situation to extort money from innocent motorists.one of them just removed the side mirror of one driver because the driver refused to give him money.too bad. |
