Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala just now on Channels TV claimed that the 240Billion budgeted for fuel subsidy in the 2011 budget was only for 2 months as the Govt had planned to remove fuel subsidy actually in 2011!!! This government and the amount of lies and deceit being churned out is too nauseating. She claims that FGN would create 370000 jobs yearly but could not state how or where the jobs would be created. She alwo claimed that the SURE project documents had been designed well in advance, just that the VP Sambo was struggling to get it out to the media houses and it just happened that it finally made it after the removal Now if this country needs money from fuel subsidy removal to finance almost all the projects listed in the 2012 budget, then what was the proceeds from the 2.4 Million barrels per days crude sales meant for? is it meant just to finance the running of government and allowances of NASS? It is clear this government is clueless about how to move forward. |
