elampiro:
It was his 38th Champions League goal in his 66th appearance in the competition. Only Ruud van Nistelrooy (45 games) and Lionel Messi (59) reached that mark in fewer matches.

From the above stat, it would appear Benzema is the world best number 9 at the moment. Lol

Ji-sung Park returns to Old Trafford

• Former Manchester United player to become Club Ambassador

Former Manchester United midfielder Ji-sung Park will make a return to the club as he takes up his post as Club Ambassador.

To celebrate his appointment, Park will be invited to tread Old Trafford’s hallowed turf once again, with former manager Sir Alex Ferguson before kick-off at the team’s home fixture against Everton on Sunday 5 October.

As part of his role, the highly decorated player will attend various events and functions on behalf of the club, promoting the work it does within the community and with its partners, sharing anecdotes from his time at Old Trafford.

Park played for United for seven years, from 2005 to 2012, winning an array of accolades, including four Premier League titles, three League Cups, one UEFA Champions League and one FIFA Club World Cup.

He is recognised as the most decorated Asian footballer in history as well as the first Asian player to have won the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Speaking about his appointment, Ji-sung Park comments:

"I have fond memories of my time at Manchester United and I am delighted and honoured to have become an ambassador for the club.

Ji-sung Park returns to Old Trafford

"Some of the best moments of my life and career were spent here and I will never forget the great support I had from the club and the fans. I am looking forward to once again representing United and sharing some of these memories with our global fanbase."

Manchester United Group Managing Director Richard Arnold comments:

"Ji was a fantastic servant for the club and I’m delighted that he is becoming an ambassador for Manchester United. He has always been a favourite with our fans both at Old Trafford and around the world and this new role will give him the chance to meet many of these fans and share his stories.

"Ji joins a long list of ex-players who are now working with the club in various guises; from ambassadorial appearances, media work and in coaching roles at the Aon Training Complex.  It demonstrates the club’s ability to not only attract some of the best talent in the world, but retain it even after the players have retired."

Slow down son.
I hope he plays so well in the next few games to give LVG selection nightmare cause i must confess,I haven't seen his Trademark Creativity on display and surely nothing to suggest he should start over rooney.

Bros Rooney shields the the midfield than mata....Mata is more attacking minded than Rooney... That's were the probs lie.... that's why LvG prefers R10 there .... ah noticed it against Leicester and Westham game..... Our diamond formation suits Rooney in the hole than been a striker.... He should start there untill we get a midfield specialist by jan or summer.... Then he can play wherever LvG deems fit for him.... R10 is not as u ghuys think..... He is a utility player and our coach loves him that way

Where is that animal called El fenocunthole

This game week, All the top 4 favourites Barcelona lost, CHelsea, Madrid and Bayern managed narrow away wins

When I told you the masters of these competition know how to conserve energy and when to unleash

His useless Arseanal won 4-1 yesterday when we all know the maximum they can go is the second round

So come and tell us which of the teams would be eliminated first based on this weeks result

if you have any common sense, you would know winning/losing in this week's results depends on the quality of the opposition. barca lost this week cos they faced PSG in an away game. if barca had faced ajax, they woulda won this week.

Dayo you are a certificate carrying oxyfu...cktard!

Till today, you have not been able to prove to me or anyone here that Bayern were conserving energy, hence why they didnt demolish CSKA Moskva
You brought on Shaqiri, Rafinha and Pizarro.... What does two forward subs coming on tell you?! Numbskull!

Stats have proven you wrong on the energy conservation excuse!
21 shots, 8 on target, the rest into the bushes of Simferopol...... 12 corners .... how does those stats prove you were conserving energy when Igor Akinfeyeev was busy all night?
Who is paying you to display your stupidity on a social media platform?!
When will you make any sense on this forum?! When? Another year is going to end, the shi...t you stood for since i berthed on this forum a few years ago is still the same ol sh..it today!
Dont you have any shame at all?!

WHat were the quality of opposition that Chelsea, Madrid and Bayern faced that made them struggle?

My point is not about Barca losing, its about all the top favourites just managing to get 3 points and walk away

Manchester United are attempting to solve their crippling injury list by signing Southampton’s first-team physio Matt Radcliffe.

Louis van Gaal has nine players out with injury ahead of this weekend’s Barclays Premier League fixture with Everton.

Radcliffe is regarded as one for the best physios in football and his last game before he joins United will be Southampton's trip to White Hart Lane on Sunday.

The experienced physio has been lured to United at a time when they are attempting to speed up the recovery rates of a number of their most influential players.

Radcliffe, will be on the bench for the last time for Southampton this weekend before he starts his new role at Old Trafford.

David De Gea says his team-mates have
netted some great efforts during training:
“The strikers of course score more goals than
most. Juan Mata has some unbelievable
shots, Wayne Rooney as well
...I just hope the team to play well in the tough fixtures ahead..apparently they are working wonders in training already

So Welbeck scores a hattrick finally - which was always gonna happen someday anyway - and some peeps are getting hard and spewing sp3rm all over the thread!!? Even f3cking Nicklas Bendtner scored a UCL hattrick gaddamit!

UTD put Hernandez and Welbeck on the market same time - Real Madrid came for one and Arsenal for the other... that there folks tells you the 'value' of both!

no one here said welbeck is better than hernandez so i dunno why you brought this comparison. however, hernandez going to madrid is a loan deal. welbeck said he didn't want any loan deal & if he's not going to play at united, then they might as well sell him.

......and he was sold!!!

Elampiro brought this up.
My point is, if he is all that as many want to paint him - perhaps he would be in Madrid now, not in N. London!
