strangest:

Looking for scape-goats to blame for the loss of Midwest, Brigadier Victor Banjo, Lt. Col. Emmanuel Ifeajuna, Major Sam Agbamuche (Agbam) and Major Phillip Alale were tried in a kongaroo-styled court and found guilty of "treason" for deserting Benin City. While Ojukwu executed his officers for deserting the Midwest capital (Benin City), HE DESERTED THE BIAFRAN CAPITAL (Enugu) WHEN NIGERIAN SOLDIERS ATTACKED IT on October 2, 1967.

May his soul and the souls of all the departed faithful by God's mercy rest in peace, Perharps one of these days in the near future, we will all get to sit down on a round table and actually get to know what really happened,

If Ojukwu killed officers for desertion, then he's a hypocrite for later deserting Biafra too.

Talking about African heroes, I'll give my props to Gaddafi for fighting till the end rather like running like Ojukwu. This man was in a position to settle things in a peaceful accord but his decision for secession and war cost Nigeria close to a million dead. Lets praise leaders who make the best decision for the people. WAR IS CERTAINLY NOT THE BEST DECISION A HERO CAN MAKE FOR HIS PEOPLE. We know he wanted to end the bloodshed of the Igbos in the North, but lets also remember that the Igbo killings then was simply as a result of some young hot-blooded officers of Igbo origin murdering well-revered Northern leaders.

Venturing on a war without the support of the international community is like a suicide mission. It's in the British and American interest that Nigeria remains one and Ojukwu could not counter that.Ojukwu's decision of war cost Igbos millions of lives, lets rethink.

A very big thank you to all the ndi-yorubas on this thread for providing the much needed trolling to my insecure ndi-ibo or ndi-ebo clowns. Now that eze wuru wuru has finally been buried - we shall wait patiently for the new ndi-ibo wuru wuru ala nwazurike to declare BIAFRA - in our erosion and landlocked bia-fail land.

We ndi-ibo clowns in other parts of Nigeria shall return to home to our bia-fail land - to join our brothers in singing amun amun amun - whilst we drink otapiapia. We shall also send the new bia-fail international passports to our ibo brothers in ala-america and ala-south africa - so that they can return home to witness this historic day.

Bia-fail will never die! Amun Amun Amun!!

Yours Sincerely,
Otu Nnegi

U can't define Ojukwu 4 us,but can define Him (pbuh) anx way u wishes, but the real definition resides with us.Ojukwu (pbuh) is our HERO,CAPTAIN,GENERAL,LEGEND,KING,PRIDE AND DEFENDER.
I can't stop luving you Jesus, and i can't stp luving u OJUKWU (pbuh) and Biafra, the land of the rising Sun n the 4th kingdom of God on earth.

Whenever you dummies bumps into a subject that is beyond your comprehension, kindly skip it rather than drop dummy comments to portray your ignorance. Most of us weren't here when the war happened and relied on many malicious account of whatever happened then. Now, have you asked yourselves basic questions like:

What caused the war?
How did Ojukwu get involved,?
What was his role.?
Was he right to have led the war?
If yes, Why did he fail?
If the war hadn't happened, would the Igbo's have enjoyed better political privileges than they do today?. ETC

The problem is that people are so dumb that they are quick to jump into any negative popular opinion without independently verifying the facts. Whether you like it or not, There has never been an Igbo man, dead or alive that can compared to Ojukwu in terms of heroism. You guys should quit talking nonsense and honour the greatest Igbo man to have ever lived. If he's not a Hero, how come those who don't support him because of political reasons, all pour out in numbers to eulogise him?.

Nnamdi Azikiwe being the first Nigerian president from Igbo extraction who in his time and death, wasn't celebrated because there was nothing that could be tied to him as an achievement (not personal).

In the igbo man's mindset: Igbo Enwe Eze ( The Igbo's have no King ). Today, Ojukwu has been noted to be the Eze Igbo Gburugburu which happens to be the biggest tittle to have ever been bestowed on any Igbo man. And we all agree with this. Except you are an Mgbati Mgbati Ibo man.

Adie Ikemba, The struggle continues.

IF YOU ARE IN A BATTLEFIELD AND IN A VERY DISADVANTAGEOUS POSITION,
WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS TO TACTICALLY WITHDRAW. YOU WILL NOT
STUBBORNLY AVAIL YOURSELF TO BE CAPTURED AND KILLED BECAUSE IF
YOU DO, YOU WILL NOT LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY. THOSE WHO FIGHTS
AND TACTICALLY WITHDRAWS WHEN DANGER LOOMS LARGE,
LIVES TO CONTINUE THE STRUGGLE IN THE FUTURE. OJUKWU DID NOT FLEE,
HE MERELY WITHDREW TACTICALLY.

Last time I checked, a hero doesn't abandon his people so as to save his own skin. A hero reps his people at all times. He stays with them through thick and thin.

Ojukwu a hero? Laugh wan tear my sokoto. grin

YOU HAVE TO COME TO TERMS WITH THE REALITY : THAT INSPITE OF YOUR HATRED FOR
IKEMBA,THE VAST MAJORITY OF NDIGBO ADORE AND REVERE HIM. ACCEPT MY SYMPATHY.

When you are tactically withdrawing, As the leader your first thought should be on his people.

If he had withdrawn all his people to Abidjan then that would have been plausible, But he fled on his own and left ppl to suffer.

Analogous to a Father who scaled the fence when Robbers came to his house and left his family to the mercies of robbers and invaders

Ojuku is a shame to all war generals

IF YOU CONDUCT A REFERENDUM AMONG NDIGBO,YOU WILL DISCOVER TO YOUR UTTER SHOCK
AND BEWILDERMENT THAT OVER 95% OF NDIGBO, MY HUMBLE SELF INCLUSIVE, OVERWHELMINLY
SUPPORTED IKEMBA`S TACTICAL WITHDRAWAL FROM THE BATTLEFIELD AND RELOCATION TO
IVORY COAST. WHAT`S THE ALTERNATIVE?, END UP LIKE GHADDAFI?. USE YOUR BRAIN, HATER.

Mumu

How is he going to protect his people from continuous assault?

Didn't his move save more lives?

All you want him to do is to ingest otapiapia like your fore-fathers.

Sorry, our culture condemns otapiapia
