i believe you are doing sitz bath,pls avoid too much walking around, always sit down and make sure you see on a flat stool or plastic chair,not cushion ooo with your legs close.it will heal pele,kisses to your lo

Today vigilante do me strong thing, we have been awake since past one, read updates, sang plenty songs and even hummed the ones I couldn't remember, danced join o, plus candy crush sef. Eventually the sleep has set in. God is really our strength. Kudos to all vigilante mamas.

Ijeomaobi1, Pele dear. Dat pain can be something else. I hope u were prescribed 500mg of ibuprofen. Wat I did was use epsom salt and witch hazel pads. Send someone to Walmat or buy online. I pour the epsom salt into my bath filled with hot water and lounge inside, it gives me more relief than the small sitz bath. Also get dermoplast spray, use as often as u feel discomfort. U should be fine in days. Also avoid too much standing and walking around. Always use a spray bottle after urinating.

2...I also had my 6 week check up yesterday, and my blood pressure was 140/100, and I had this terrible headache on just one side of my head for two days...
I was given "adomet", to be taken thrice daily, for 7 days. I've never heard of this drug, so I dunno if it's safe to take it, or to even take it for that long (I know bp drugs are to be taken with care)...
My mum left last week, so it's just dh and I alone with the baby, he doesn't really come home early from work, and that leaves me doing most of the work during the day, which I guess led to the rise in my blood pressure (although he really helps with the baby at night)...

I have been on the drug all through this my pregnancy because I always have phobia for hospitals(I don't know why, right from when I was small)so any time I am there, my BP use to rise, so my Dr placed me on it as far back as my 18 or 16th week self, can't remb.

Even when I Google it, they said it's safe. Take ur drugs and don't do all the house work biko. No body will die if u don't do it and sanitary inspectors no dey come for inspection. Before pregnancy, I used to be a neat freak. I clean and mob house every weekend and all, but my dear,now I don't even send. D house has not b swept for like 3 weeks now and DH has been saying he is tired. I will get one cleaner from my office to come and do it. Once he helps me to sweep the kitchen and pack d dustbin, I no get whala.

Just take things easy, do the essentials and close ur eyes to other ones until further notice.

Your doctor should have told you to do an anomaly scan between 18-20 weeks. You can then find out the gender of your baby and it might help you shop. If he doesn't, you can still book a private scan to check baby's sex if you are really keen on it, you don't have to wait for your doctor.

Congrats on your bump showing, it's a wonderful feeling to get noticed. It's not too early to start shopping, you can start now before you get too tired in the 3rd trimester. Your EDD should be approximately 27 Dec and you should be exactly 20 weeks pregnant today 5th of August. The next scan you do might give you a date close to that but it's an approximation based on baby's measurement.

At your next doctor's appointment, ask them if malaria and typhoid tests were part of the bloodwork done in your initial test. It may have been part of it but if in doubt ask! Pls don't hesitate to confirm information with your clinic and you should never be scared to ask questions, after all it's your baby and your body.

I googled the witch hazel didn't know it had a pad o. I even saw how the home made one can be constructed using new born diaper (spray with witch hazel liquid then place in freezer) . U come use am as pad

hmmmm............I dunno what to say tho! let me just assume it's cos its ur first ANC visit. I'd advise u talk to the dr when u go for ur next visit, u have a right to!
Another thing u can do is ask mamas who came have been coming for ANC at the hospital, i want to believe ur not the only ante-natal patient there. Make friends with them and ask them questions on what and what they were given when they started and i'm sure that will guide u on what to expect.

Finally it ended in praise. My princess made her grand entrance yesterday 5th August via elective cs weighing 3.5kg. It can only be God. BS coming soon.
