I feel some of my horrible first trimester symptoms returning and I'm just praying against it. Horrible heartburn, nausea and throwing up for no reason. Atleast they ain't so frequent and my appetite is still here. Anyone else in the same shoes?

I am most thankful to baba God o, the race is half way, especially because I have never gotten to this stage previously and everything is working smoothly! I think I have started feeling mild kicks , having an anomaly scan next week, praying to God my little angel cooperates and shows us d tin lol (praying for a boy, dh says it's a girl).

I discovered I had taken in around December, so using my LMP I calculated the EDD to be 31st of August. B4 pregnancy show me hin real name, I was still able to do some exercises andd hubby wud just be making fun of me each tym, ashey na play the thing still dey show me, wen e Sama me well ehn I nor even remember wetin exercise be. It wasn't funny at all this first trimester probably cuz being a FTM, I hated the smell of food, couldn't eat, vomiting everything down to water, no strength, I've lost 10kg from December till now.

About 2 weeks ago, someone recommended pregnacare with omega 3 which I've been taking and I've been able to eat well since then, I eat almost 2-3hrs apart although in small portion each time.

I live in Kubwa,Abuja and after much consulting, I was told the general hospital is better for ANC compared to a private one. I then went to General Hospital Kubwa last week and was directed to one of the nurses for registration. She asked me how far gone I was and then scheduled me for REGISTRATION on the 17th of March, I felt I didn't hear well, I was like "Madam, I'm almost 3 months o not 1month" and she said "ehn now, come on 17th march b4 six a.m"

In my head I was having meeting and confused so I met with another member of staff and explained my ordeal to which he was also affirmative that I shud come by 5 on the given date.

My dilemma is that isn't the given date too far away. God forbid something happens to me or my cutie in between.

Is there anyone in the house who lives in Abuja specifically Kubwa and has used the general hospital and can share her experience or tips on choosing an hospital for ANC.

Also please I need all the advise I can get on what I'm not doing yet.

I think 3 months is the perfect time to start, except it's a high risk pregnancy. I believe the only reason private hospitals register you in first trimester is cuz they want customer and don't want to risk loosing you. Nothing would happen to you, besides in first trimester, and doctors can't even prevent much from happening to you. Just start taking your folic acid until next month then go and register.

Sorry about the headache, never experienced it but many mamas here complain about the same thing, just forget the paracetamol if it's not working and try to get a lot of rest.
My lo's kicks are out of this world too, these days I sleep with my tummy pressed to my husband so that the baby can be kicking both of us. The kicks always wake him up at night. Last night she kicked us so much, hubby started asking if I'm feeling ok and if I think the kicks are normal lol.

I agree. Except u're bleeding or u hv abnormal vaginal discharge or any other complaint, just relax and be taking ur folic acid and fesolate, then go on the date they gave u. Me I started early. To go there sef don tire me. Going for antenatal now is like punishment to me

hi.its not too late for antenatal at that given time.am 6 months gone and 2nd time mum and i havent even booked .i use general hospital here in lagos. my hubby just donated blood sef as part of the procedeure. private likes to get ur mony and sugest CS most times if inducement fails. its well

Welldone Cappo,I didn't see the mention. We thank God for the journey so far,may God see us through.amen .I'm presently enjoying dis second trimester,nothing reminds me of being pregnant than baby movt. Hmmmmm,am yet to register for antenatal.I'm contemplating either to register in a private Hosp or general hosp. I gave birth to my first(dd) in a private hosp but am believing God for VD dis time around.Though I have done two scan already, baby is doing fine,as at last wk,baby never open yansh.By God's grace,I'll register for antenatal next week, I prefer private jare just dat dey too like CS,I didn't even experience labour then.May God help us.

Kindly note that any antiseptic that turns water milky is not safe on babies
As advised by WHO, chloroxylenol which is a major component of those antiseptic are harsh.

Instead you should opt for Purit or Savlon.

My sister I taya for the matter sef! Detol is really strong I guess that why hospitals recommend the much softer brands! I bought one detail once and thought it was fake until I was told its the lighter version of it which is for antiseptic use like savlon,purit and septol! But that the regular detol that is harsh serves as both disinfectant and antiseptic!
Don't know how true this is sha.

The bottle on your right is the one with only antiseptic
While the other disinfects as well.
