The team which tops the EPL table at the end of december most likely wins it. There's a reason this stat holds a majority of the time. Vardy, Kane and Kante are busy busting their asses on xmas and new year's eve, while Lewandowski, Messi and C. R7 are probably sunbathing on a beach at the same time.

This is one of the reason one can't straightly assume that one European team will emerge champions if it were in the EPL. (and vice versa) It's a domestic league, and the amalgam of clubs there can't be found anywhere else on the continent.
