GOVERNOR ORJI: NOT DOING WONDERS IN ABIA
AS I WAS SAYING… It is a truism that English words are relative and here, the word WONDER is related to either negative or positive .Governor T.A ORJI no doubt cannot and will never be associated with positivism. Beyond Abia state government owned Radio and Television, T.A ORJI and his media team have tried to impress those outside the state to make his OCCUPATION AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE RELEVANT. However, an average Abian is not amused by these efforts of T.A. That Advertorial on THE NEWS MAGAZINE of 14th may 2012 rather exposed the emptiness, negative and poor side of T.A’s governance in Abia as he recently vowed to publicize even uncompleted projects. Indelible footprints of Governor T.A ORJI are the more than 80% pictures of uncompleted projects in that publication. How come that a man that occupied seat as Governor of a state for five solid years can only boast of on-going projects? Does that amount to pass mark? Even a primary six pupil will fault and fail T.A ORJI in such assessment. Most times, intentions are usually unfulfilled and Abia state is at the receiving end, typical of T.A's inactivity. More worrisome in T.A’s style of governance is the porosity in the use of state resources where accountability is lacking. Projects executed do not pass standard and quality, the reason is not far-fetched…AGBATA EKEE.. Though the news magazine writer did his job to earn money, he however did not meet the people that are angered by T.A ORJI’s mis-governance that move them to lay hand on anything visible, including packets of pure water to give him a fresh bath or rather cleanse his eyes to see . Let those claiming this oft song of “MASSIVE ROAD CONSTRUCTION..” stuff visit roads constructed and reconstructed especially in Aba and see if they passed the test of one week rains. These are the issues. Let them go beyond the palance of “ WE ARE ON TOP OF THE SITUATION” while the house is yet burning. MASSIVE,…MASSIVE…MASSIVE.. are words emanating from government house Umuahia that even the SSG to the government, a professor and former vice chancellor of a university couldn’t find any other word in a recent interview than MASSIVE CONSTRUCTION AND RECONSTRUCTION.HABA! Mere rehash and everyone of them behaving like Fela’s Zombie. Infact, wonders shall never end. WONDERS of deceit, lies, hypocrisy which abound in the bossom of T.A ORJI AND HIS OFF-SPRINGS in Abia.
