Hello people!

Via this site https://ehome.dha.gov.za/epermit/login and this https://www.vfsglobal.com/en/individuals/index.html. VFs website, which one is faster in your opinion?

It is still DHA that handles both. So apply

It shouldn't be more than 2weeks. However, if VFS fails to deliver ur passport to the embassy on time, it could take month, such was the case for me.

Hello,
Please does a finacial sponsor letter for a South African study visa have to state the relationship with the student he or she is sponsoring, if yes do you have to attach proof? Thank you
justwise:
Ask/make your South African visa contributions here, i have seen increasing number of different threads about South African visa recently hence the need to dedicate one thread for South African visa issues.

Hello House. Please is anyone leaving for SA within the week or next week? I want to send my documents for police clearance over for processing. The courier charges are quite high. Please help a sister. I will commit to the fee for domestic posting within South Africa.
Thank you in advance

Please friends, I'm still confused why people are going to SA in thousands, isn't the same country I heard that their unemployment and racism is at top gear?

One of my family friends who's a Post doctorate fellow in SA told me he got a Bulsary for me over there (Research Msc) and that I should hurry and grab it and come over there , that I won't regret it (he wasn't explicit though) but I'm still having double mind whether to go or not cos at present I'm managing a job of 80k,had it been is an European countries, I won't even think twice. Please is SA better than Nigeria in any form? Thanks for your genuine reply.

In SA, AFAIK, you can finish your (research) MSc in 1 year or 2. Ensure you're focus on the research. Get publications, whether conferences and/or journal (but not predatory). Towards the end of your thesis, apply to the European countries you desire for your PhD. You stand a good chance.

As regarding your postdoc friend, he needs to be #transparent with you. Between you two, you must know the name of the dept/university, the potential supervisor. 8f your friend will be the supervisor, you need to know. Most likely (s)he might be a co-supervisor. Is the bursary departmental or school or faculty or university bursary or is it NRF rated researcher linked grant bursary.

Regarding whether SA is better or not, that I won't venture into: Indeed, SA has deep rooted issues! However, you can read inbtw the lines in the first paragraph.
