Great Ogboru, the DPP candidate at the last general election also the major opposition party in Delta State has confirm that he is moving to ACN. In his words, "I will be moving my supporters to the ACN where we original came from (AD)" that he should have done perfect the deal, but the last election were too early. source Urhobo Times

Great Ovedje Ogboru is a loser,if e likes he moves to republican party oo,he will and can never smell the seat of a governor in delta state just like buhari. I advise him to just make peace with the ruling party so he can be compensated with small contracts to keep his body and soul together otherwise he is headed for the poo.
It is imperative for me to mention here that GOO lacks the financial warchest to compete with any member of Pdp come ,ext gubernatorial election as he has missed his opportunity in the first place when he was granted amnesty for contributing to topple the government of IBB(Orka coup).
Ovedje commanded so much respect in delta state such that Ibori gave him a red carpet reception during his arrival from exile,but was ill advised to contest against James who had so much respect for him,little wonder Crazy Evans bought him a jaguar car as a well come gift.

What's there to elaborate again na?
He has been contesting since 2003 during Ibori's regime and he lost bothe the election and election petition tribunal
He furthered his course by contesting with Uduaghan where he also lost gallantly.
He was offered an opportunity for a re-run after the election was cancelled which he did not only lose that election but also lost at the tribunal.
Does he still have the strength,vigour and financial prowess to win the hearts of deltans?
My dear even deltans have given up on him.

So the fact that Great has been try for so long makes him a loser? I am amazed how people actually think. Nigerians actually believe that Democracy and Good governance comes cheap. May I remind some that the Egyptians had to wait almost 5000 yrs for a free and fair elections, but they fought for it. Nothing good comes cheap, Until Nigerians get of thier phucking backsides and go and fight for thier rights, they will continue to remain slaves. probably one of the last countries in the entire world where the entire population are Slaves.

Abraham lincoln contested election and lost seven times before he became american president. Ogboru is more acceptable to we deltans than any thing PDP will present to us

Great Ogbolu never lost any of those elections. He was rigged out by PDP rigging machine. The guy here who insinuated that Ogboru lost elections might have been living in the moon. We as Deltans know better.

I think we should all unite and support this move. Uduaghan and gis fellow devils have been a total disaster for us Deltans. His senior Brother is in Jail we must ensure that for all the suffering Deltans have endured for years, PDP must be kicked out and and Uduaghan duely escorted to Jail where he belongs

Who are the "we",whats the difference between Ibori,Uduaghan and Tinubu

Do you know that even up till last month(as I remember),very prominent opinion leaders and political power brokers in Delta state,from across the three senatorial districts were still reaching out to Ogboru to cross over to the PDP.They truly want to put an end to the Ibori dynasty,but they need a fresh face with an independent mind that they can sell to the electorate,Ogboru fits that bill,what is he pompous about,this was what happened before the April 2011 elections,when he chose to scoff the overtures of the power brokers to join PDP and they'd have replaced Uduaghan with him(with the backing fromthe centre)

Well no long story,Delta will not be governed by an ACN or DPP governor.I only hope all factions unite to forge a common front and get a capable independent minded candidate,and not one of those Uduaghan guys lining up presently.

@Rasputin,

wether you like it or not, ACN can become a credible opposition to PDP, why must we stick to a one party state, what benefit is there for anyone. People must percieve that there is an alternative to the Devils Party. Infact I would urge all other fringe parties to unite under ACN to KICK PDP back to HELL where they belong.

This is indeed a very good move, and I will be throwing my weight behind Ogboru and ACN, and I will argue that Nigerians must start thinking ACN as a a credible oppositions to the CessPit of VIPERS PDP

Though am not a deltan,but as an observer,it seems Great Ogboru is a confused man that fails 2 understand d political intricacy in delta. I think his many years abroad has made him vulnerable. Ogboru should take time 2 learn delta politics b4 contesting again.

I am a full fleshed deltan
It must also interest you to know that I worked for Ogboru during 2003 election.
But Ogboru can NEVER be govornor in Delta state
He should play the big boy by defecting to Can as a statesman and bring someone much energetic,rich and has good sense of leadership qualities.
By the time deltans sees this coupled with the infleunce he has,they will defaet PDP come 2015
But if it is he,my dear no way because he is only set to achieve 2 things

off all the intellectuals of delta origin Ogboru for that matter. if ogboru is the best delta can bring forward then its most unfortunate. truth is that with the way delta state is constituted, its gona be very difficult for ogboru to win delta state. at lest not in 2015.
