Wow! I feel so bad now. I have taking her to the clinic and not once have I been told to give her anything. all the while she's been having cough, catarrah and temp, they said it was viral infection and kept giving me prition, vitamin C and calpol. Please this 7 seas cod liver oil is for babies right? she is 7.5 months old. is there any other drug i should be giving her? A FTM here, apologies for the questions oh.

D dosage is 2.5ml ditto 4 d Vit c and Vite syrups (Em brands). All of dem together cost just N1,200. D cod liver oil is N800 at d pharmacy.

@ 2 months, d center of ur baby's head is still vry soft and breathing. D best shampoo is natural african black soap. Wash it everyday. Dats wat I do. D trick is to apply whipped ori (shea butter) mixed wt coconut oil (I also add black palm kernel oil and little drop of silver bird oil. I whipped d melted ori in a vry clean blender, add equal amount of d oda oils and voila! I av gt d best hair softner for my baby and even mysef) before d water dries out of d hair and comb. D oils and butter will seal in d water/moisture and her hair will never dry out all day long. I only stop washing my baby's hair everyday wen I started putting it in ribbons.

Thanks Ladyverere, my husband has been really bothered about her cough and catarrah. Imagine the pead was trying to incinutae asthma. for whoever.. i said my baby is not and will never be asthmatic.

Pls my baby hair is eaten up at d back and d hair in front and middle is so thick and he always cry whenever i comb it.
he is going to 7months and i use johnson head to toe soap for bathing him.

It's not compulsory you give your baby any supplement. If your baby is breastfed and/or formula-fed, eating right, and has the right number of dirty/wet diapers....then all is well. People fail to realise you can actually overdose on vitamins. Excessive Vit a for example, is not good...can go terribly wrong in a child or pregnant woman's body.

My son took abidec, cos he wasnt a big eater. He is fine and healthy. My daughter hasnt taken any supplement since she was born...and she is as healthy as babies come. The only thing I have given her is paracetamol for immunisation fever.

My baby is 5 months but she is very slim nd doesn't eat well.she stopped breastfeeding on her own @ 4 months.i ve been giving abidec to no avail,what should I do.she takes cow nd gate rice,aptamil nd pap. Pls suggest food for me to give her.i even tried golden morn this morning which she took few spoons nd stopped.how good is seven seas?

I assume you mean beverage i.e milo, bournvita etc?

At 13 months you can give that in moderate quantity with milk and no sugar.

Number 1, golden morn is not good at this age.

Number 2, welcome to the club. My son showed me pepe. It was battle every meal time. You just have to get what she likes and stick to it....and there are some times you will literally have to hold her down and stuff her mouth. Pele! As long as she is hitting her milestones, then no wahala.

Congratulations on the safe delivery of ur baby. I didnt know about the gel you talked about,i used spirit for the cord and it healed perfectly but since it was given to you from the hospital,use it often it should fall before 3weeks. The Nestle nan is the same,its just that the bifidus is the new product and the easy scoop is the old.
