I think it depends on when he clocks 9 months, and his immunisation day. E.g, he may clock exactly 9 months on a Monday but the immunisation schedule could be on Wednesday, it won't affect him in any negative way.

just like maran1983 said it depend on the day of the week your hospital gives immunisation! Your sons 9month birthday might fall on a Monday and the hospital immunizes on a fridays makes no difference.

Check the card its usually written there when next to come.

Yes, you can use silverbird, but you have to be careful with its usage.
Put a drop on baby's fontanel (the part of his head that breathes), please tilt his head back for a minute, so that the silverbird does not roll down his face.

You can also sprinkle some drops on his shirt/top. That way he keeps inhaling the vapor.

You may choose to sprinkle some drops by his pillow, not directly on his pillow please. He can also inhale the vapor from there.

If you are sure you can, add some drops to a basin of hot water and use the water for steaming. This helps a lot.

It's normal for some persons to have irregular period after childbirth and while breast feeding. So relax. It will still come.

Allow it to burst by itself, then endeavour to clean and put whatever you used to clean inside WC and flush and wash hand properly afterward.

Should I be worried ? My 7 month old has been having frequent bowel movement, he has pooped like six times today It's not runny just his normal poop texture.

I'm just concerned of its frequency and if the food he is eating is even digested at all? cos it seems the whole thing turns to poop as soon as it enters the stomach am i feeding him too much(hence the plenty pooing) or is he reacting to the Gerber whole grain I just introduced to him? I'm confused o, i will just stop the whole grain for now and watch.

Has anyone experienced this.
#note he had a running stomach on Thursday which was before I started him on the Gerber whole grain! Which has stopped and now this? Mamas help me o.

@ tchiwinnie, yes it has been regular since jan that it resumed, it only fluctuates like a day before or a day after d day of expectation. It had neva stayed this late, thats y am worried.

I have missed dis thread.a lot of catch up to do. I want to say thank you to all the sabi mamas that helped me out during my dd rash stage. Onegai, drada,zaynie,modath,sisikaffy,liftedhands,all odr sabi mama.thank you ooo. God bless u all.our rashes don clear our skin sweet n smooth. We used coconut oil and raving powder. Then finally got dove pure n sensitive agter touring almost all lagos supermarket. So far it has being wonderful.

Infact d skin sweet tey tey mosquitoes come remember us .once we sit in the parlour in the evenings to relax my baby comes in with a red bump on d face as that is d only exposed part courtesy evil evil mosquitoes.
Please is there any mosquito cream to rub to wade off mosquitoes or does that repellent wristband work?
Please how do i deal with dis Karashika mosquitoes biting my pristine anyhow.

Mama Ekene, infact I'm experiencing EXACTLY the same thing with DD o. In fact I can say you dey see us live. The poo is soft but not watery. The frequency is d scary part. Lamide takes Gerber too but not frequently so I cant attribute it to any of her cereals.
My mum says it's teething and changing of phases. That after expelling all this, she will grow taller, eat more sef and all. Her eating habit hasn't changed tho'. It's just the frequency and texture that are different.
I'm sure senior mamas will come to our aid soon.

Well She can drink from both....
I use a cup when we are at home most times at mealtimes when she has on her plastic crumb catcher bib and for convienence at other times likwwhen outdoors or to prevent mopping floor or changing her clothes due to spills everytime i Use a sippy cup/ beaker .

We started using a cup at 6 months and although the spillage was much initially, she is much better at it now. I used to have to put paper towel pieces into the bib to soakit up as the water dribbled was so much and my madam will then decide she wants to eat the bib as well spilling any liquid inside allover the place but now i hardly get any water being caught.

A cup is advised to be introduced as early as possible as using bottles too long can affect babies teeth developement. This is especially so if you are going to be giving her any form of juice (even diluted juices). Long time sucking of juice from bottles causes tooth decay.... bottle caries it is called.

For milk and water you can use both bottle/cup. For juices use a cup only.

For the cup, if you can, get a slanted tip cup its much better as it is easier to see the level of liquid as she is drinking and you have better control as you are feeding her. The one i have is called the doidycup, i dont know if there are other brands and if it is available in nigeria but it is worth a search.

If it's not watery just watch what you are giving him. The 6 times you talked about is just small small poo poo abi? Teething can make them poo frequently. Has he started crawling? I'll advise you watch it first.

if u read d instruction well, u she see 4-6 hrs. Pls keep baby hydrated as u r given d diastop. ORS is very important.
CC: LiftedHands, Cherrymum1, I experienced same thing with my DS when he was about 7 months, his came with mucus and this greenish colour, we took zinc along with ORS, after 2 weeks, I have to take him to d hospital for proper checking and blood test. we were given flagyl after one week again, I opted for diastop and I prepared scent leaf soup for him. within two days, I got positive result after 4 weeks of frequent stooling. Diaper almost finish for where dem dey produce am.

Oh dear, that looks really nasty.
What nappy and wipes are you using? And how often do you usually change her?

If she is reacting to the nappy, no amount of cream will help if the source is not eliminated.

Try changing the brands you currently use and increase frequency of changing.

I dont know if this will help but considering all the other creams that have been used... there is no harm in trying:

I make my own baby bottom butter with equal quantities of:
Cocoa butter
Shea butter
Cold pressed coconut oil( it should be colourless )
And
Charmomile essential oil ( if you can get) only a few drops are needed

You can adjust the coconut oil quantity depending on the how hard or soft you want the bum butter to be.

If you cant find the essential oil... try chamomile tea bags which may be easier to get. you could make an infusion of charmomile tea and when cooled either rinse the area with it or use it as a wipe solution with a small face towel to wipe babies bum.

Good luck and i hope you get a solution soon.
