I was in Ibadan recently and saw about 5 right hand drive vehicles registered with Ibadan plate numbers, infact a lady driving a Toyota Avensis slightly kissed my bumper in traffic. Now my question is this, is it legal in some states to drive a RHD and not in others? I did not see any RHD vehicles in Lagos state. Thanks for your positive contributions. |

I live in ibadan and i see them all over the place. i also visit Lagos almost on weekly basis and don't see much if any. The difference is the enforcement. Road safety are clamping down hard in Lagos as opposed to ibadan. Even if you are stopped in ibadan, the bribe will be very minimal if any but in Lagos, i have heard of almost N60,000 fine plus they will force you to convert. Technically, it illegal to drive but enforcement varies depending on your location. Regards |
