Literature / See What A 12 Year Old Wole Soyinka Wrote About Nigeria by ahika(m): 4:52pm On Mar 04, 2019
A 12 Years old J.S.S3 scholar is taking the path of our great Noble Laureate, Wole Soyinka. He taps into his imagination to unveil the irregularities that govern our nation Nigeria.
He is a student of Eagles Educational Centre at Uselu, Benin City and he strongly believes one day Nigeria will find its way to its savannah plains.

Bleached to Bleed

My beloved country,
bleached
The giant of ancestral savannah,
bleached
The golden star of the black legion,
bleached
The emerging economic magnet,
bleached to bleed blood

My beloved country, bed-ridden and sick
Painted and tinted to corruptible gems
Religious disease and political infections
Succumbing to the wind of impecuniosity

Tears of Rape
Trauma of robbery
Pains of unrest, snipers’ firing darts,
sorrow, tears, and blood

But all hope is ours to lust
To right the wrongs
To make straight the crooked lines
All hope we must mine.

yea bro, with such statement how do you expect a student to make 1st class
Records are meant to be broken and History is to be created not repeated. No department is void of sadistic lecturers, yet we still hear of people who had evade these lecturers in the past. Even if there is none, your destiny is not tied to other people's failure. You can be that legend in your department. Nothing is Impossible with God - tho it's a cliche but will forever remain true.

Ponder on this words.

go with 3 thousand

You will go to court and swear an affidavit, cost around 500-700

Go with 2 passports as ahika said

Your online result and your photocard.
It looks like different waec office (states) have their systems because I wasn't asked of the bolded ^^^. Maybe it's because mine is GCE, maybe....

how i go wan take know hausa wey dey nassarrawa? . . Heard this from a lecturer . . . Whether it's -20 or not is not the business here, the thing is that that admission ratio must be fufilled, 100 is admitted for medicine(90 from pumites and 10 from D.E) 36merit,36catchment and 18ELDS . . Most times the Elds aint up to 18 Giving chance to some crinkum-crankum
we don hear many ''Vc say'', ''the clearance officer say'', ''my uncle wey be lecturer say'', so u got to come with evidence. You may be right, you may be wrong so convince us with proof!

delta is not an ELDS but a catchment area which is (-1 of the merit, while edo -2) ,if he had 69,he would have been offered medicine

And Elds (-20)? Btw you haven't addressed this...

If you can point at least 1 person who got medicine (or law) with an aggt of 50 or 55, then we can continue.

i get your point, but if a person from nassarawa had an agg of 50,he would be given medicine cos of the 40:40:20 ratio and not many ppl are coming from the north
says who? So far as I know, there was someone who got 65+ for medicine and he hails from Delta (catchment area) but he was denied medicine. If you can point at least 1 person who got medicine (or law) with an aggt of 50 or 55, then we can continue.

I wrote waec last year
then it should be ready because I wrote GCE Nov/Dec 2013 i.e., last year and I collected mine 2 months ago.

Have you gone to their office or are you following words of mouth? I'm asking because I was also told that original result is always ready ''after two years'', but thank God I went to hear/see for myself
Education / Re: UNIBEN 2014/2015 Admission Guide Thread by ahika(m): 4:23pm On Nov 23, 2014
mesoade:
i'm serious . . You know the admission thingy is 40:40:20 . . 40 for merit,40 for catchment area(delta and benin),20 for ELDS . . If this is not fufilled jamb will not approve the admission list from the schools . . That is why somebody from nassarawa can get medicine with an aggregate of 50.
If you've said cut-off of 70 (medicine) and aggregate of 65 or ''maybe'' 60 for ELDs then that can be considerable. But 55? E never reach that level.

We got the message, they might have considered him because of his state. But that is because the cut off for Pol Sci is around 55 or so. But using that scale for ''medicine'' is an over-use of hyperbole.

Hey guys I'm curious, pls this original waec certificate, mine isn't ready yet I was thinking if maybe I could just get a waec scratch card and forget about getting a waec statement of result, how possible?
when did you write WAEC? And what stops you from getting the waec statement of result from your high school?

Btw it's 85% possible to use the online print-out and an ''unused'' scratch card. [for confirmation]

yes, benue state is part of the ELDS . . If medicine's aggregate cutoff mark is 70 . . A candidate from benue with an aggregate of 55 will get medicine while a candidate of 69 from lagos, ondo and the rest western states won't be offered medicine.
mesoade take it easy, today na Sunday cheesy

Pls does anyone know something about UNIBEN clearance,I need help! #fresher
What we know is that the possibility of doing clearance this year is less than doing it next year Jan because students will be finishing exams next week, or this week, admins would be going on xmas break and there is chaos in the school environs; uniben would not want to put us in danger.

But for the moment, you can start compiling your documents. Follow this link to get the list

http://www.unibenblog.com/2014/03/freshers-info-uniben-physical-clearance.html?m=1

Note: this isn't the official list for 2014/2015 set but that of 2013/2014 set and it has always been like this for the past few years.

Btw what course were you admitted to study?
