40% is paltry considering the disturbing levels of inflation currently. Either ways, fuel subsidy must go. It's long overdue.

Politics / 2023 Elections: Tinubu Wins Rivers, Sweeps Niger And Benue by Ajisebioyolaari: 6:40pm On Feb 28, 2023
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress in last Saturday’s general elections, has won the keenly contest polls in Rivers State.

The APC flagbearer also swept Niger and Benue states, garnering massive votes in both states.

Earlier, there was a strong battle for who would take Rivers State, with the Labour Party and All Progressives Congress going neck and neck.

At the time, results from 21 local government areas had been collated and they indicated Obi was in a slight lead, however, all that changed when the results for the final two LGAs came in.

Prior to the final collation, the APC candidate had polled 148,979 votes, while the LP candidate polled 169,414 votes. But when results from Wike’s LGA of Obio-Akpor came in, the figures changed drastically.

Clowns!!!!

Their true colour is coming out. I saw Dino collaborating with other LP agents earlier.

It's too obvious that Peter Obi was sponsored by PDP to run on another party's ticket acting as a saviour and winning gullible people over.

Then when either of them (PDP or LP) wins the election, they will start decamping to the winning party. That is why Obi never spoke against Atiku throughout his campaign but focused on Tinubu. He kept referring to Atiku as "my oga, my oga".

God has exposed them. They can try again in 2031.

LP = PDP PROMAX. grin grin

I have watched the video. What I see is some jobless youths gyrating. The employed ones are busy in their respective work places trying to make a living.

For the animal saying " Obi must be President of Nigeria whether they like it or not". I want to also unequivocally state that "Tinubu will be President of Nigeria, whether you like it or not."

Anybody that does anyhow, will see anyhow in Jesus Name. It's not even a prayer, it's what we will ensure.

Politics / Senatorial Results Cancelled In Abuja Due To Over-voting by Ajisebioyolaari: 10:28am On Feb 28, 2023
Lawrence Bajah – Abuja

The senatorial results from Abaji and Bwari area councils in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have been cancelled.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collation officer in charge of senatorial results in the FCT, Prof. Sani Saka disclosed this to newsmen in Abuja on Monday, citing over-voting as the reason for the decision.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that the total number of accredited voters was 21,473, while the number of vote cast stood at 21,903.

He said; “The total number of valid voters cast is more than the number of accredited votes, we are cancelling this result for overvoting.

“It is the INEC that will tell you or decide what to do with the result of Abaji, whether there is going to be another election or not.”

The agents of political parties had raised eyebrows when a party, African Democratic Party (ADP) that had no business in the election, because the party had no candidate, appeared on the ballot papers and was even given a vote, then came the issue of over voting, leading to the cancellation.

The same issue of over-voting led to the cancellation of results from the Bwari area council too, the candidate of the Labour Party had garnered 56913 from the Bwari area council, while those of the ruling APC and the main opposition party PDP got 13807 and 19561 respectively.
