gnchetts: Please house I need an advice for this.

I'll clock 29yrs old on Jan 4th and my Husband is only 2 months older than me.I didn't really bother about the age barrier because I was already deeply in love with him before I found out.

My problem now is that am being forced to call his younger ones Aunty's and brothers and greet them in the morning. This is really very difficult for me because I gave his immediate younger sister 3years and my husband is even supporting them that is their tradition in Okija,Anambra state but I've never had about such tradition in any part of Igbo land.

Please what do I do. Am really dumbfounded.I've not been talking to my husband for 3days now and am not ready to visit his family until u advise me on the right thing to do. Because am not ready to humiliate myself to that extend.

thanks

Sometimes, you guys can get me angry. Your Aunty is your mother's sister or your father's sister. na which one come be inlaw for the matter? Na your husband and em brothers invent the name aunty? I stop my family from addressing people wrongly. My children don't call their teachers aunty or uncles. stick to the principle and enjoy your life free from sentimental bullshit....

I call Him Ovie revie. The Acient of Days!!!

For those who say there is no God, probably our definition of God is the problem. You believe man is a product of an initial force or explosion whatever you classify man's inception is what we call GOD..........

It's your choice to decided weather you would be accountable and serve this GOD or not... Your personal choice though. The platform (Christian, Muslim, Buddist etc) or the place (Church, Mosque, Shrine) or the tools "holybook" (Bible, Qu ran, cowries) you choose to use to serve and be accountable to God does not and cannot determine your effective service to God, simply becasue God did not create you with this platforms, places or tools. This just a matter of which is more suitable to an individual.

You would know the importance someday when most of you begin to spend years in kirikiri. It is just a matter of time.

What exactly are you talking? and who is spending years in Kirikiri, When a man and woman decide to stay in the same house as husband and wife and do things together, the day the cannot stay together and do things together again and if they cannot find a compromising ground and work together only one thing is left, any of them should call the shot and dissolve the marriage. They should not come hear and talk nonsense, was any of these women under a life treat not to pull of out the marriage when they could not handle it.

They should go and sleep, if the gains was not more than the losses they would have left long before.
Celebrities / Re: Domestic Violence: Frank Edoho & Zaki Adzay Abused Ex-wives Speak Out (Video) by BBDelta(m): 9:50am On Sep 24, 2012
youngies: The Walk Against Rape in Lagos which encouraged rape victims to speak out; and the Peace Prayer Outreach in Kwara State which enriched the lives of those in need and advocated for understanding between religions. These efforts all served to promote peace, non-violence and solidarity within Nigeria and more importantly advanced the vision of Peace One Day.

Obiang who was once married to the 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' host, Frank Edoho said, "Just to dare to argue with your husband is like a challenge in your home. The woman is challenging the man and tempers flay and then you snap, then there is a slap. He says 'I am sorry it is a mistake' then says 'sorry I won't do it again,' then he does it again, again and again.

Narrating a particular incident, Hadiza, estranged wife of musician Zaki Adzay, said, "he slapped me on the face so (and said) 'get up you must abort this pregnancy today. Now that I am married to you, you want to hook me with pregnancy because I am a celebrity.' Then there was a wardrobe in our room so I put my tummy in there and then he continued beating me. He had some folic acid in his hand and said I should swallow it and abort the pregnancy. When he gave me I said he should allow me take water, thank God the door was open so I ran away."

Question: Why did they decide to talk now? Of what importance is it? Does this have a positive impact on the society as far as matters of marital status are concern? What I expect is that they should have a message to share to young people on how to either wholeheartedly follow their husbands in trust and let their own ideologies be second or how to quickly take a decision and pull out of the marriage when faced with a situation like this instead of trying to damage the images of their ex husbands I cannot be deceived I have lived life above this.

If my ex girlfriend today becomes, the CEO of a multi national company, would I come to give a crazy testimony on how she had some strong will against mine during our courtship which lead to our breakup. Come-on guys, this is just some bullshiiiit testimony....

I have read this story and know it is a sad one. But in as much as the story did not fully tell us what went wrong, I must say I am totally disappointed at the way a lot of people have taken this matter spiritually.

No body is asking what went wrong. Did the SUV hit something? A barricade, another car or what? The report says they saw it somersaulting. A car will not just be somersaulting. Who was driving the car? I had seen a lot of wedding where the drivers are young brothers of the couples, who have had serious alcohol the previous night during the bachelor eve's and have had serious handovers and you put the live of your bride and yourself at the hands of such drivers? Moreover in situation like these, there is always a high level of anxiety, emotions and probably trying to beat time and traffic.

Please, let's spend our time to investigate make a root cause analysis and learn from it and avoid any kind of repetition of this in any wedding of interest to us.

I came from a very disciplined home, we were made to work hard, especially me first son. My Father was a Teacher. As early as 12 years I was already the dry cleaner in the house. My mum will pack all those "starched" brocade and babariga or Abada (we stayed in the north) for me to iron. We had this funny and weird pressing iron that was my tool. To lift the thing, men na serious weight lifting exercise.
Long story cut short, One day I given a heap of cloth to iron, which will take me a minimum of 3hrs to iron, pouring water on them. I was nodding my head (in dissatisfaction and annoyance) on the dinning while ironing and my parents were in the parlor just watching TV, all of a sudden my head hit the edge of the dinning door, I screamed and fell. Before you could say "jack robinson" blood of Jesus was being shouted all over the place and I heard the one that sparked something in me. "The iron dey shock!!!, I don talk am before" I quickly queued into it, come see me dey shake for ground and my tongue already coming out, my eyes were all going in.. MILK, MILK, MILK filled the Air!!! Oh Boy, I finish about 2 things of "three crown" milk.
Of course you know the rest; I was never made to iron for some good weeks even after the weird iron was replaced. Till today my parents still think say na electric shock me.... TRUE STORY BRO...I STILL SEE IT IN MY HEAD ...\O/

Religion / Woman Delivers Monsters In Church (picture Disturbing!!!) by BBDelta(m): 10:28am On Sep 16, 2012
How woman delivered monster in church
On September 15, 2012 · In Periscope 6:26 pm 25Tweet

This story contains a picture that some may find disturbing. Readers discretion is advised.

By Simon Ebegbulem, Benin City

Like people always say, “wonders shall never end”. Benin City residents were shocked on Tuesday when a pregnant woman, currently at large, was delivered of a creature that resembled a horse during a prayer session at the World Libration Ministry, Benin City.

The drama was said to have started when the General Overseer of the church, Evangelist Silva Iyamu, commenced the prayer session, called, ‘Miracle hour’. Sunday Vanguard found that people from neighouring states throng the church in search of miracles, as a result of which there were hundreds of people during the programme. The pastor reportedly prophesied that they had a pregnant woman in the hall but that what was in her belly was not the baby she craved.

According to the personal assistant to the pastor, Prince John Ogbovoh, who claimed to have witnessed the prayer session and the subsequent delivery of the woman, “It was a miraculous thing. She was not the only one that was delivered in the church. The pastor did it for a lot of people but this one was spectacular.

Evangelist Silva Iyamu and Mrs. Veronica Egiebor, ‘the nurse’ that took delivery

The woman, we were told, had been in her matrimonial home for 11 years without a baby and the pastor said there was ‘a woman here for 11 years, no child,’ that the person always got pregnant but whenever she went for test, it will show and at another time it will not show again”.

Ogbovoh continued: “So the woman came out and the pastor said ‘let us put you in an all night on Friday, but the woman pleaded with the congregation to go on with the prayers since she may not be able to wait. So the pastor now agreed. The pastor called her and asked the men to give little space and the pastor insisted that something inside the woman was not a human being, he said it was a funny creature.

When the creature came out, it did not look like a human being but it looked like an animal”. Asked about the whereabouts of the woman and her name, the pastor’s aide explained:”We don’t even know her or whether she came with any member of her family. Nobody knows where she came from. We don’t always take records of people who came from outside Benin City but we know our members. We were expecting the woman to come back here today (Wednesday). People always come here to receive miracles and after that many of them come back to thank God for delivering them”.

He narrated further: “When it happened, they asked her to go and wash up, the lady pastor assisted her. I remember she fell down and was unconscious and, sometimes, the pastor will ask members to leave the hall to allow for ventilation. So after she delivered the creature, there was pandemonium in the church. We did not even know when the woman left. In fact, the pastor was asking me where the woman was?, so we searched for her but we could not find her. I am sure the woman was ashamed, but God has done a miracle in her life and she is not supposed to be ashamed.

*Baby or monster? The scene of delivery…on Tuesday

However, I believe she will come back because God has removed the burden that has stopped her from getting pregnant for years. The dead creature was left for a while for people to see. This morning, the people now ordered that they should throw the creature away because it is now becoming an embarassment for us in the church”. The nurse who delivered the woman of the creature, Mrs Veronica Igiebor, corroborated the PA’s story.

“I was there; it’s not a story, yesterday, it seemed like a miracle”, she said. “The pastor poured anointing oil and a sachet of water on the woman and asked everybody to pray, he said, labour is going to start now. So the woman was swinging her body and finally she held somebody’s leg. She pressed and she pushed harder and something dropped and she fell. Behold my brother, I have never seen that kind of thing in my life before. People were calling it goat. But it looked like a horse. The object had a long neck, the ears were long. It was exactly like a horse, although it was in a baby form.

But the pastor said nobody should touch it because it was demonic. Everybody ran away; I don’t know when the woman vanished. The story I heard about that woman is that the husband’s mother wanted him to marry another woman. It was said that this particular woman now trained the husband in the university. It was said the lady sold vegetable to get money to train the man. But when the man wanted to get married to her, the mother disagreed, rather brought another woman for him to marry. But the woman as expected refused to leave because she has laboured and obviously some body may have said okay since she refused to leave the man she will suffer. I guess that was why she has not been able to have any baby since.”

Gen. Overseer of the church, Evang.Iyamu, speaking on the incident, stated: “When we were praying, a word of knowledge came that somebody had an issue with pregnancy.

Sometimes, when she goes to ultra-sound, the pregnancy is either confirmed or not there.

While the deliverance was on, we noticed that the woman was bleeding. We asked her to stand out, barely few minutes we heard people screaming. We thought it was a child, but I remember that when we were praying, I said what ever is hindering her from getting a baby should leave. Something of that nature, I’m not a medical doctor. So, I don’t know the appropriate word to use. So, when it came out, everybody was like weeping. It’s something we haven’t seen for a very long time. So, she was still bleeding and she collapsed. So we had to order everybody outside for ventilation to come in before she was revived and the women around cleaned her up”. Asked if the woman is a member of the church, he said: “The woman only came to my office asking for prayers, because she is not a Benin person”.

Hei, Don't get it twisted. What ever (djbiskit) is talking has nothing to do with the Offshore Logistic Officer's Aptitude test I wrote on Aug 25 in Lagos,i.e for the Akpo FPSO. According to the recruiters, the next week they will send out successful and unsuccessful mail out for an appointment of interview on the 7th and 8th of Sep. in PH which they did. There after a one week final drill, test, whatever they call it will the finalists, which they (Total) will organise in Lagos and be responsible for their accomodation, they are also expected to do medicals during their one week and there after they would select those who made it through and all this is expected to be in NOVEMBER!. no details was given as to when they are expected to sign contract or conclude recruitment process. So that friend of yours (djbiskit) maybe in a different recruitment process, just contributing though.

Religion / Exploring Beyond Traditional And Religious Boundaries by BBDelta(m): 4:58pm On Sep 13, 2012
HEY GUYS, JUST THOUGHT IT WISE TO SHARE MY 30TH BIRTHDAY LECTURE WITH MY CO - NAIRALANDERS.

I was born on Thursday, 9th of September, 1982 in my great grand mother’s house in Ovwian village, Udu local government area of Delta State, Nigeria.

The past 30 years of my life on earth is a journey and sojourn worth a reflection and appreciation to the Almighty God as I have been taught to refer to the Creator of all things.

I was not exactly sure what my purpose on earth was as at the time of my early stages of consciousness and discerning in life, but one thing was sure I was a product of a biological process (as we refer to it here on earth) between my parents. A process and platform designed by God Almighty who is the very source of nature’s inception and continuous survival and its status of abiding to age long principles of day and night, life and death, sowing and reaping, regeneration by birth of all species after their kind, etcetera.

A very fortunate fact and truth to all human being is the existence of nature and its principles pioneer by God Almighty and acknowledge by all, even the Atheist who have decided to change the Nomenclature of God to an “initial source” that has lead and currently leading the continuous evolution of nature has recognize God’s existence. They however or perhaps have decided not to believe in service to God Almighty while on earth or being accountable to God Almighty at the end of their existence on earth a perspective that is their own cup of tea.

The other group of human beings who also believes in the existence of God and their services and reverence to Him on earth and also accountable to God on how their lives is spent on earth have created various platforms to which they can effectively serve and reverence God while on earth.

These various platforms of service and reverence to God have been strongly influenced over the years by the different cultures of human beings at a particular time and place.
Culture, from a collective perspective is a way of life of a people either collectively agreed upon by all or enforce upon people by their presence within such environments and or a constituted authority saddled with the responsibilities of enforcing this cultures.

Culture is strongly influenced by the impact of nature on man. A group of people, who live in the Sahara desert, would live differently when compared to a group of people living in the Mangrove forest or riverside areas of the Niger Delta. When culture is passed on from one generation to another and strongly enforced between these generations it becomes TRADITION.

Culture is definitely a product of nature. Now in this era of globalization and better understanding of various nature’s inhabitants across the globe, man definitely will receive a new and better impact from nature and hence a new and improve culture.

Unfortunately, tradition which is a product of culture passed from one generation to another has its foot soldiers and those who would do all within their powers to protect it and uphold it all for obvious reasons of personal and collective gains or due to inherited sentimental reasons or belief of the god factor induced into tradition to uphold it through generations by man.

For years, the Urhobo people have seen the traditional wake keeping rituals for a deceased as a means of showing high regards and celebrating the dead. A mere mention of a day burial in the 80’s could cost you a ban of association from the community by those who obviously gain or inherited sentiments of this practice. Today it’s now a thing of the pass as even the traditional rulers and chiefs who had gain from this practice in time past now practice day burials.

A lot of people have been influenced against their will either directly or indirectly to practice numerous traditional rites that have brought negative impacts on their lives. These rites cut across various kinds of ceremonies to various processes of developing God given abilities in man.

Over the years man has developed and diversified means to influence and control each other’s will, a will given to all men by God.

Now back to the platforms created by man to serve and reverence God in the names of various RELIGIONS. The act of influencing man’s choice with the deception of age (message from God to the individual) has been a constant practice in these platforms.
Don’t get it twisted; God communicates with His creatures which man is one.
What I don’t believe thus far for these 30 years of my life on earth is that God needs any man or religious platform to communicate with me or to prove His existence; He does that every second through nature not through man.

When you survive an incident, which within every explanation and comprehension of man’s knowledge would have cost you your life, do you need any Reverend, Pastor, Imam or Native Doctor to tell you that God is communicating specially to you? Whatever He is telling you is left for you to figure out but one thing is certain it has to do with the availability of your life on earth.

At 8:45am, Wednesday the 18th of December, 2008 after an all night cruised on a train from Nguru to Kano City, I was onboard an 18 seater bus to Warri from Kano. At the outskirts of Zaria, a place known as Konadangora, I stepped out without any bruise from a ghastly motor accident that claimed seven lives on the spot and wounded others onboard. Now, do I need anybody to tell me God still has a need for my life on earth? Or do I need any religious platform to know God was involved in that incident as it pertains to my safety?

The inability of man to adequately and properly develop his spirit man and explore all God’s given abilities within him beyond pre-existing status of man has lead him to submitting God’s given will to the choice to other men, either in the name of spiritual or political father and mother or whatever.

This act of submitting one’s will to another man has lead to a high level of manipulations of man’s life in the various religious platforms to the extent that man no longer recognize and respect God as the giver of life. A man would terminate his God given life because he sinned against man and cannot face man but would rather prefer to face God. A man would terminate his God given life in a suicide mission because somebody told him this or that. I could imagine God saying “I have given you a conscience, an ABSOLUTE Power to discern and choose” make use of it.

This act of man has lead to a lot of men being under religious bondages and religious slavery to men instead of serving God. They are constantly been told to do this or that else they would not have a relationship with God or will not be able to access God as if these men telling them have been able to alter the principles of nature (God’s creation) for a second. This brings to mind the question God asked Adam and Eve in the bible story of the creation. Who told you that you are naked? I could still imagine Him asking these same questions today.

• Who told you the religious platforms you choose determines you effective service to God?
• Who told you how you dress, what you eat or drink or what you possess have anything to do with your effective service to God?
• Who told you what you give in church, mosque, shrine, temple or wherever has anything to do with your effective service to God.
• Who told you that any man on earth can determine your effective service to God?

Let me bring this to a close but note that there are no boundaries to your capacities and exploits on earth. Do not let anybody tell you so. Try to activate and build your inner power and God’s given will power within you to discern and evaluate all things before choosing and NEVER influence or force a man against his will power in life.

It is important to know why you are on earth, live beyond man’s DECEMPTION OF AGE! (Bringing instructions from God to you to influence your decision). Be accountable to God alone in the issues of this life which He alone gave you and how you serve Him. Try to avoid the questions who told you? God has given you an ABSOLUTE Power of CHOICE; exercise it. I like what “Peak milk” will say “it’s in you”. Definitely it’s in you.

Thank you for finding time to go through this piece of write-up, I have learned and experience some things in life worth of sharing.

• Life has thought me that the definition of family has changed far beyond people of the same hereditary lines or people who grow up together in the same house.
• Life has thought me that inheritance from a man is not those things that are worthless to him when he is dead and passes on but those things that are still valuable to him that he could still sacrificially pass one.
• Life has thought me that the disappointing things that happened to me is not what matters, but what I learn and do about them
• Life has thought me that our background and circumstances may have influence who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
• Life has thought me that two people can look at the same thing from the same position and will sometimes see two different things.

I am still in life and by the special Grace of Almighty God, I will keep learning and exploring beyond known boundaries as I venture into this next phases of life.
