Look at that man and that woman near the ambulance looking surprised.

They probably have millions stashed in their bank accounts and won't understand what it means to be penniless.

I have been there. The time you know that 99.9% of your phone contacts are useless is when you are financially down and beg for #5000.

She felt useless and traumatized watching her children cry for food daily in her presence.

Do you think it was an easy decision for her to plunge into river?
Now everybody is forming caring for the camera.

Why won't they? It pays them to close than to remain open. Do you know how much it costs to run a school for two weeks? That's what the proprietor will save. Parents have paid. No refunds will be made.

It wont prevent them from paying workers salary even if they close for 2 months.

Finger Of God Cathedral, Porth Harcourt, Nigeria

The Finger of God Cathedral is the upcoming largest cathedral in the world designed to house 120,000 worshippers. It is being built with an enclosed air condition system. Also, the Finger of God is segregated into multiple arms and can be used to segregate patients according to their severity of infection.

Like Glory Dome and Faith Tabernacle it will most likely run on independent power also. And its construction can be sped up with Government funding to serve as a treatment zone for about 5,000 - 7,000 people in South South/South East Zones.

Government funding? When its obvious they will be fed with watery beans only to have bills of imaginary billions of dollars quoted as cost a few months later.

Federal government always unclear! Why not simply say closure of all federal schools nationwide and private schools in the FCT. Let the states handle states schools and private schools in their jurisdiction. Let's be consistent with our laws, no need for federal taunting the state. This might impede the original purpose.

Federal supercedes the state. Allowing individual states to shut down schools may not be effective.

It's an emergency and thus needs such Presidential Orders.

Romance / Re: She Said She's Not Interested But Gets Angry When She Sees Me With A Girl. by bendazum: 2:33am On Mar 19, 2020
miclef86:
I met this lady, a colleague of mine for over a year now, we work in the same unit. Don't get it twisted, our Organization permits marriages but one of us will make a transfer to another branch within the same location.

I liked her, everybody in our unit noticed there's a connection between us. However, we're like cat and dog we fight over everything, always disagreeing, yet.

I have been getting a lot of advice from my fellow colleagues about how she's the perfect match for me and how compatible we're if we decide to be together.

However, truth be told, I have not been really serious with her, I flirt with other single girls in the unit. The other day, they were having relationship discussion, a senior colleague of mine said that I use to jump from one girl to another.

The last Valentine's day, I called her that we really need to talk she told me if it's really that serious I should come over to her house which I did. I went there to profess my love for her, I asked her to give me a chance that I'm gonna be a better man.

She calls me a confused human being, that I don't really know what I want, that it's too late. That she already has someone and planning to get married to him next year.

Now, I've decided to accept my faith and move on with one particular lady that cares about me, I no longer call her like I used to anymore, just greetings that use to join us now.

I have noticed a hostile attitude from her towards me, she gets angry whenever she sees me with the other girl.

Yesterday, during lunch hour, I met her with few of my colleagues and little conversation ensued between us she said I should bet with her that I'm going to leave that girl and come back to her, that made me a little upset within. So we had a bet.

Pls I need your advice, I truly love her, I think about her almost all the time. Should I swallow my ego and try to make things work between us again or I should let the sleeping dog lie?

You are TRULY a confused human being.

I just confirmed it. You took a bet that you were going back to her already and you are still seeking for advice? The same girl you said you don't get along with? Is it you or your colleagues that will know if you are good together? Is it them that will marry her or you? How will allow their decisions to cloud your judgement and tomorrow you open another thread on how you live as cats and dogs at home.
Besides no woman likes infidelity, you have no honour and should not marry until you get free from it.

It has gotten to the extent that your senior colleagues know you as a flirt. It should really bother you because your behavior is bad for business. Flirting with numerous co workers and breeding bad blood and jealousy within the organization thus causing friction and affecting work progress and team work etc These are among what they may not tell you. That dance you play will SOON end your job.

This time, you must NEVER call village people because you are the architect of it.

Continue. It remains very tiny tiny small.

But all these require a capital to start. With nobody to give you capital, you have to work to save and start the business.
That is my line and field so I will definately start that but no capital.

I know you will follow the normal cliché and use money as an obstacle.

You did masters which I know that you spent more than #300 000 atleast but can't raise at least #10 000 to start hand sanitizer business.

The containers are about #200 each. The chemicals can be sourced with #5000 or less. I assure you that your fortunes will change.

It seems paid employment is a cage whereby employers keep people from achieving their dreams.

Break free from those shackles and write your name in the annals of fame and affluence.
Education / Help: Advise My Sister! by bendazum: 7:38pm On Mar 17, 2020
Good evening Nairalanders, My sister studied Mass Communication in ND and wants to know the right choice of course for direct entry.

Personally I don't think doing Mass Comm. as degree is a viable option.
Please advise on other possible option which can give her a good head start of getting a job easily after graduation.

Thanks.

Sometimes life could be very difficult and one would be thinking that no more hope due to the challenges he or she encountered.

I was/am a victim of that, imagine I rounded nysc last year and till now all the job I got is just 15k,12k etc.

Today I was called for an interview for a position of a customer care service in one of the communications company that deals with gotv, dstv.

I sat down a lady was there before me and the lady entered the room few minutes later the lady came out and I was called in for my turn, on getting there the interviewer told me to introduce my self bla bla I did perfectly and after everything the man changed topic that it would be marketing job, that any decoder I sell my comission would be 1k, and then replied the man that it wasn't the position I applied for the interviewer didn't even listen he was telling me so many things that does even relate to the interview.

To cut the story short he arrives on paying me 20k plus any sales commission, which I later told him that if he could make it 25k,but he refuses and at the end he told to meet my rev. Father for recommendation letter... Immediately I heard that I was ... Because to see those rev fathers is a tax...

Please help me get any job of 25k...if na security make I do or hotel work.

God bless u all..

I recently turned down a #35 000 job cos to be honest with you. It leaves you little or nothing at the end of each month.

You just get to eat food, thats all. I believe there's more to life than just food.

Which course did you study?

Looking at the situation, the students are also to blame. Blocking the road in the name of forming a queue is barbaric.

The Dolapo from the writeup sounds arrogant.
They should have allowed him to pass knowing fully well he is a lecturer. It has nothing to do with 'Nobody bullies another' crap Dolapo vomitted.

They infringed on his freedom of movement.

This is not to say that the lecturer is blameless because he should have exhibited behaviors of a learned gentleman.

It seems this is a new trick to get many people to apply on a #20 000 salary.

What is attractive, nay very attractive about #20 000?

Liars!
Jobs/Vacancies / The False Assumption Of Minimum Wage !!! by bendazum: 12:57pm On Mar 15, 2020
When government started the minimum wage, it simply means that the starting salary of low entry workers like Messengers, Cleaners should be at least #30 000. It NEVER implied that Degree holders should earn #30 000!
#30 000 is meant for SSCE holders!
Its unfortunate and annoying that employers will state 'Salary Attractive' only for them to offer a miserly #30 000 or thereabout.

In today's Nigeria, the least amount one spends weekly is #5000 multiplied by 4 weeks/ month gives #20 000.

Now #10 000 is remaining which goes into rent!
This means that anyone that offers you #30 000 is saying that you should just eat food alone and DIE!

No thoughts for your family, no thoughts about you saving, no thoughts for further studies, buying a car is an illusion on that earning. Isn't that WICKEDNESS?!

Shouldn't the salary of all government officials be cut by half and that money should be used in giving graduates a worthy pay of at least #70 000 in understanding of the economic realities?
