Politics / Re: Why Yoruba Should Not Partake In Anti Tinubu Protests by ChimaAgbalajob: 7:35pm On Feb 24
swagana:

Why is Tinubu not going after the above mentioned looters?

Tinubu himself is not a saint. It is the same APC people that looted and he will never go after them. The same way he would never criticize Buhari in public for depleting the foreign reserves that could have been used to cushion the effects of dollar scarcity and stabilize the naira.

Those looters know Tinubu will do NOTHING to them. That is why they keep threatening him using their foot soldiers and clerics and intend to even use Yorubas and Igbos to destabilize him by their so-called "hardship protests". Meanwhile, the same people calling on Yorubas and Igbos to come and protest against Tinubu did not call for protests against Buhari. Nor did they even join protests against Police brutality during End Sars because they did not want any protests at all that could be used as a reason to destabilize their son's government. But they have found their voices now against Tinubu!

Yoribas shouldn't protest. Remember who you're teaching political lessons?

Let those people be the ones to protest and not you the POL101 lecturers. cool

Exactly. We know those planning to use the smokescreen of "hardship protest" to truncate democracy in Nigeria. Where were these same people for 8 long years when Buhari kept increasing petrol prices, the dollar kept rising from 200 naira to 750 naira due to illegally printing money, taking massive loans, and squandering the foreign reserves that was hitherto $52 billion in 2015? They all kept quiet because Buhari was Fulani man and therefore their son!

Now, a Yoruba is on the seat and trying to clean the mess created by Buhari, they couldn't even have the patience to give him one year in office before calling for protests against him and even a fatwa on his wife.

I love that Yoruba pastors have already seen through the deception of northern elders and religious leaders. All notable Yoruba pastors from Pastor Bakare to Adeboye are firmly united in saying that Tinubu is God's wish for Nigeria and therefore nobody should try to destabilize his government under the guise of hardship protests.

That is exactly what the northern religious leaders who are now calling for anti-Tinubu protests would have done if Tinubu were a Fulani President.

Definitely, we know that cubana nightclubs are legit businesses. However, the way they have displayed cash would definitely raise suspicion of they have been paying enough taxes to the government as they ought to be doing.

It is almost guaranteed that they will be investigated for tax evasion and made to pay some money back to the government in the places where they have operated and systematically dodged paying taxes according to their earning as mandated by law.
Politics / Retreating Herdsmen Poison Nomeh's Only Water Source For Asking Them To Leave by ChimaAgbalajob: 4:02am On Mar 20, 2021

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxBch8u61h4

The Nomeh people of Enugu state are now suffering after the retreating Fulani herdsmen poisoned their only source of drinking water for demanding that they vacate their farms.

The community of Nomeh has been in the news lately as many videos surfaced online about the atrocities of the Fulani herdsmen in their farms and forests. Finally the Eastern Security network assisted the community farmers in regaining their farms. However, the herdsmen came back secretly and dumped loads of poisonous substances in their stream which is the village's only drinking water source.

The community is now calling on the Enugu State government to come to their assistance in providing an alternative source of drinking water. As fishes, chickens and other animals that drink from this stream which was hitherto their only source of water supply dies instantly.

Republic of Southern Nigeria or even with the middle belt isn't bad if it is governed by a truly FEDERAL constitution.

More importantly, every region will be free to develop at its own pace without any intereference by the federal government. You cannot give up Nigeria and have the same system to replace it.

Nigeria, A country of 200 million people should not have only Lagos and Abuja airports!

Even Pakistan with less population and less resource than Nigeria has 52 airports against Nigeria's 22!
Pakistan has 12 operational international airports against Nigeria's 5 international airport (that is if Nigeria permits Akanu Ibiam to operate international flights)

The only reason you get comments like this is to suppress other regions from developing so that everything in Nigeria will be in Lagos. Even when it lacks the capacity and totally over burdened by handling more population than it was designed to handle. That is why Nigeria must restructure so that the willful holding down of nations that constitute Nigeria will stop.

Although you cannot rule out a direct involvement of the Federal Government, you can at least be certain that Nigerian government is happy to see Ghana in disarray.

Ghana has continuously become the preferred investment destination in West Africa and Kotako International airport is being utilized as a regional hub by many international airlines, and Nigerian government has enviously noticed Ghana's rise as we declined.

Part of the reason we closed our border was to frustrate the increasing foreign direct investment preference of Ghana to Nigeria as their west africa regional base.

IDENNAA:

Very well layered post. I hope you guys will post here more often and leave Yoruba people with their backwardness. Yes , I lived in Lagos for over 10yrs and speak Yoruba and I know their habits and attitude towards the Igbo.

Obiano , now , came with a lot of promises and hope to transform Anambra beyond recognition but where are we today ? Obiano landed on a golden platform with enough funds accruing in 100 of billions available to him which Obi saved for the children on Anambra. Then came the squabbles with Obi and his camp and out of pride and at the expense of Ndi Anambra Obiano abandoned the funds just to show he doesnt need handouts from Obi. Do you know what Anambra can achieve with 100 billion ?

Of course , I will not sit here and say Obiano is a total failure but he didnt live up to expectation. Awka , our darling state capital has not been transformed and there here not been cut down on recurrent expenditures. We need to cut down on these things and push more funds towards infrastructures. Obiano needs to lead by example and cut down his salary and senseless bonuses-thats where most of our developments funds go to. He lives like a danm king while our people wallow in abject poverty. Its painful for me.

If OBiano completes these three things;

1. The International airport (At least to regularly operate daylight flights to & from Lagos and Abuja)
2. The International Conference Center
3. Awka Stadium

Based on these legacy projects, the three flyovers in Awka, the multiple roads, agricultural revolution, multiple bridges and security, it will be very difficult to find a Governor that will beat Obiano's records.

Politics / Re: Igbo Must Return Home To Invest – Umahi, Ohanaeze by ChimaAgbalajob: 1:08pm On Sep 23, 2020
Masterclass32:
The Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi; and the President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Nnia Nwodo, on Tuesday reiterated the need for Ndigbo in diaspora to return home and invest towards economic development of the region.

The two Igbo leaders, who spoke in Abakaliki on Tuesday, on the occasion of the Ebonyi Business Forum, which held at the Ecumenical Centre, said the way and manner Ndigbo continued to overlook the investment opportunities abound in the zone was partly responsible for the slow pace of economic development in the region.

The two leaders insisted that the situation must change if the region was ready to take its rightful place in the country.

Speaking on the business opportunities in Ebonyi State, Umahi noted that his administration had made efforts in repositioning the state to welcome and accommodate all kinds of investors in the state.

He said, “Ebonyians and Ndigbo in general should visit and invest in any sector of their interest. All the necessary environments that aided the growth of businesses have been provided in the state.”

Nwodo applauded the Igbo investors from Lagos State who were in the state for investment purposes, saying with the level of infrastructural development in Ebonyi, the state would soon become the economic hub of the entire South-East.

He said, “It is said a good wealth is the one that reaches home. I am aware that Igbo registered voters in Lagos are more than three million people.

“But during the elections, they are reminded that Lagos is not their father’s land. When things like that happen, it reminds you that you come from somewhere; and the need to go home. We have to develop Alaigbo, and turn it into what Catalonian is to t Spain, and what Berlin is to Germany,”

https://punchng.com/igbo-must-return-home-to-invest-umahi-ohanaeze/?amp=1

Too much talk.

Just create the enabling environment, create modern housing layouts for those interested in real estate, create modern industrial layouts for those who wish to have factories and create more modern markets for those who want to do trade. Then watch the people do their thing.

When these governors keep hammering that people must return, but don't do their own hardwork to create these things, its like those who pray morning till nightfall for God to make them billionaires but refuse to work at all in their own business or to be employed.

The reason these people invest in other areas is that these things are easier to access there than in the SE states.

Make more noise than resolve to fight. Even if you are beaten, at least you fought like a man. I hate when Nigerians submit to every sort of bullying without even the faintest resistance. Moving forward, it will be difficult to try and change the results during collation. Nigerians have woken up and will fight rather than sit back and complain for the next 4 years.

He's proactively working tomorrow to ensure that the measures are strictly complied with.

He's both the governor and the head of the taskforce undecided

Wike knows that some faceless people in northern nigeria are arresting, organizing and shipping hordes of Almajiris to his state. Many of these Almajiris are already infected with COVID-19.

Wike also knows that unlike Kano, Kaduna or Bauchi that can get massive help from the FG, he will receive nothing from FG if he allows an outbreak to occur in Rivers state.

Thus, he is doing what he ought to do to protect his people from those bent on sending death to them.

The Federal Government will not give any information on the feeding program because they want to use the absence of any information on the program to loot Nigeria. The Federal Government is only interested in re-looting the $312 million dollars returned Abacha loot grin grin

They have already calculated that even if the United States freezes Nigerian overseas assets to force repayment of the re-looted money, Buhari would have since left power. Thus the new government will plead not to be punished by the deeds of Buhari.

This inter vlog guy is very annoying and fraudulent. He does not understand that plagiarism is a crime!

He lives in Vietnam and goes around using google earth street view that is currently available for the expressway in Onitsha and Awka, as well as inner streets of Enugu. Sometimes he uses other people's videos without giving them any credit at all! Then he pretends he took the video by saying, I will now show you this or that. Many times, he gets the names of the places wrong!

Since many people are currently struggling to produce legitimate content to monetize their youtube channel, I find using parts of other people's videos and google earth to make videos as very very fraudulent behavior. His next move now will be to take Eboh media's new drone video of Awka and then add a few google earth streetview shots, and try to make it his own video! Without giving any credit at all to Eboh media! Always trying to benefit out of other people's effort by cheating them!

For instance, he posts a google earth streetview picture of UNIZIK main gate which is more than 2 years outdated, and says in his video that he just took the pictures yesterday while at UNIZIK in Awka. However, you can see clearly from another video of an Awka based youtuber that the gate has since been upgraded for more than one year now.

Igbos have been in forefront of donating to the Janjaweeed federal government that will simply ignore igbo states to die like flies if they ever have an outbreak. The current FG will be overjoyed if a virus helps them to eradicate the hated igbos from Nigeria. Something they couldn't do with marginalization or military force.

Imagine that Buhari released N10 billion naira to an already rich state like Lagos to equip its isolation center, yet ignores Anambra to depend on paltry donations from individuals to equip its isolation centers.

The same way they ignored Rivers state appeal for help in setting up its isolation center, knowing the PH international airport could easily risk having expatriates from France and Italy living there.

Igbo People donating to the fantastically corrupt Fulani Federal Government instead of their cash strapped states need to have their heads examined!
