The governor who is said to be on vacation abroad and is set to return as soon as possible - once revealed in an interview that he was already an established man in the US before he accepted the mandate to lead the people of Anambra.

He said; “Look, let me tell you, I’m a wealthy person before I came here as a governor. I didn’t come here to steal, because there is nothing here for me to steal. “I was enjoying my wealth in the United States of America with my family before I was approached to come and do this job as a governor.

“I had already made good money before venturing into politics. I was relishing in the comfort of my house, with swimming pool, basketball court and other good things in the United States before providence brought me here.

It was earlier reported that a mother of three children, simply known as Toyin died mysteriously this morning in Akure, Ondo state capital – in a suspected case of money ritual.

An eyewitness revelaed that two local pots and some fetish were found beside her where she died inside her room located at Tipper’s garage, Isikan area of Akure.

Toyin, a food seller at Tipper garage area, off Ondo road in Isikan in Akure South local government area of ondo state was found lifeless in her room early this morning by her customers and co-tenant.

According to an eyewitness who spoke with SunshineTruth, the deecased had already finished cooking for the day as usual but could not be seen as at 6:00am when she ought to have been out for the business. “This led to the breaking down of her door by her customers and found her dead in her room where two calabashes or pots containing concoction like fetish”.

The witness said, “her phone was checked and discovered that she made calls to a person registered with Alfa on the phone at exactly 1:00am and another call at 3:00am.

“We don’t know what could make her to venture into this kind of fetish, some people say it is a ritual money and other people are saying it is a quick sales charm, we can’t ascertain what really happened”.

The witness further said, “she has a court case against her last husband and the case is due next week, on 18th of this month, the case is on divorce and who will be in the possession of the children”.

An operative of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) who allegedly raped and impregnated a teenage girl, was arrested by the police yesterday.

The 17-year-old girl identified as Ochanya Samson from Benue state, in the video below - narrated how she was allegedly raped and impregnated by the officer when she was 15.

According to reports, her uncles threw her away after she gave birth to the baby and took her to Aba, Abia state where the baby was sold.

The girl's plight came to light recently after she was assaulted and injured by a man over sexual advances in Abuja.

The arrested SARS officer is in custody as investigation into the matter is underway.

Women in Okata Community, Ihitte/Uboma local government area of Imo state, stormed the Divisional Police Office in Isinweke over the gruesome murder of their colleague, Mrs Evelyn Duru, as they requested for intensification of efforts to arrest and prosecute the culprits.

The protesting women asked the DPO to provide adequate security to enable them attend to their farms with a view to providing food for their children.

Spokesperson of the women, Mrs Beatrice Nwachukwu, also disclosed that the deceased was a very hard working woman, a quality she said Okata women are known, a thing that drove her to her farm only for unknown people to murder her.

In his response, Mr Charles Njoku, DPO, Ihitte/Uboma LGA thanked them for their orderly conduct and assured them that he do all within the ambit of the law to arrest and prosecute those involved. According to the DPO 'the seriousness of this crime even made the Commissioner of Police to visit the scene of the crime.

The Nigerian government has arraigned the wife of the Benue State Polytechnic lecturer, Andrew Ogbuja, for her alleged involvement in the death of 13-year-old Ochanya Ogbanje.

Miss Ogbanje lived with the Ogbuja’s before her death in October, 2018, after being allegedly raped by Mr Ogbuja and his son, Victor, for five years.

Mr Ogbuja’s wife, Felicia, was arraigned at a Federal High Court in Benue State for her alleged involvement in the events that preceded the death of the teenager.

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) accused Mrs Ogbuja of aiding the rape of Miss Ogbanje during her stay at their residence.

The agency had accused Mrs Ogbuja of allowing the persistent rape of the late victim to continue, through her silence after the crime was brought to her notice.She was arraigned on a two-count charge for the alleged offence.

There is chaos as the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport in Owerri, Imo state, is currently on fire.

The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report as men of the state fire service and other emergency officials are currently at the scene trying to put out the fire.

The facility is the first state-government built airport but it was later taken over by the Federal Government and handed over to FAAN to manage.

His Royal Highness, Prince Nathaniel Osayande, Crown Prince and heir to the Throne of the Kingdom of Ugu (Oba N’Ugu) and the Enogieship (Dukedom) of Umoghun Nokhua in Edo state, has passed away.

According to reports, he was killed in a fatal accident which happened along Benin-Abraka expressway on Friday, April 5th, 2019.

Prince Nathaniel died ahead of his inauguration to the throne of Ugu, billed to hold in a few days time.

Educated in finance and accounting, the late Crown Prince worked to improve the lives of his community and to ameliorate the standing of the Kingdom of Ugu at home and abroad.

May his soul rest in peace.

There was pandemonium on Saturday as armed bandits attacked and killed residents, including two policemen at Kakangi village in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to reports, the bandits first attacked a police outpost at 5:00pm and then opened fire at a gathering of villagers attending mass wedding of 17 couples.

Six people, including young children, sustained various degree of injuries and are receiving treatment at General Hospital Birnin-Gwari.

After the stampede, the bandits set some shops and stalls on fire, looted others and carted away foodstuff and many motorcycles.

A man has revealed how a woman was caught after stealing expensive cloth materials said to be worth over N100, 000 from a shop with the help of her colleagues.

According to Emmanuel Nicholas, three women who looked rich came into a shop dressed in a Hijjab yesterday afternoon in Kasuwan Barchi area of Kaduna state.

They reportedly pretended as if they wanted to buy something, before one of them stole the clothing materials and hid them under her armpit.

Unfortunately for her, she was sighted by the shop owner. He then forced her to bring out the materials. She raised her hands and behold the materials dropped. The shop owner allowed her and her colleagues to leave the shop embarassingly after the unsuccessful theft.

Men of the IGP Special Tactical Squad (STS), were filmed yesterday, 6th April 2019, harassing and beating up a young man they accosted while driving a Toyota Camry (Spider) in Osubi area of Delta state.

After the victimization, they arrested the young man and took him to Agbaro Police station where they obtained his statement under pressure asking him to agree to having two wraps of indian hemp, according to activist Israel Joe. He was later released in order to bring the sum of five hundred thousand (500,000) naira.

Israel Joe disclosed that the family rallied and borrowed the sum of three hundred thousand (300,000) naira, the elder brother that went to enquire the false allegation - was threatened that failure to bring the said money, his younger brother would be re-arrested and alleged as a robber.

They later released the car and his phones to him at about 11pm after extorting three hundred thousand (300,000) naira.

An appeal is being made to Commissioner of Police (Delta State) and other authorities to look into the issue and that the money extorted - be immediately refunded to the owner.

A young man was apprehended yesterday with two human hands in a polythene bag in Ijero Ekiti area of Ekiti state.

It was gathered that on Monday, a robbery gang sent a letter to the town that they were coming to rob the residents, and due to that message, police officers and plain-clothed detectives have been patrolling round the town to stop and search anybody suspicious.

It was during this stop and search process that the suspect identified as Nifemi Opeloyeru was found with two human hands.

It was reported that the suspect initially claimed that he found the two hands around Okemesi Ekiti and was looking for an herbalist to sell them to. He later confessed that he planned to use the hands for money ritual.

He has since been arrested and is helping the police with investigation.

A teenage girl has been found following her disappearance which left her family in pains. The 15-year-old girl was declared missing three days ago in Delta state and had her pictures circulated on social media in a bid to find her.

She was re-united with her family on Friday, April 5th, as she revealed she was not kidnapped, induced or cajoled by anyone and that she only went to spend some time with her boyfriend at Ofortokun Road, Sapele, Delta.

Meanwhile, internet users have reacted to the report of her return.

According to reports, a boy was allegedly forced to marry a girl whom he impregnated in Anambra state. It was learnt that the boy got the lady pregnant and her family resolved that he should marry her due to her condition.

The quest to make quick money has landed a young man in trouble in Ogun state. According to reports, the boy was nabbed red-handed after stealing a lady's pant in Ifo area on Thursday evening.

The young man was stripped off his clothes and beaten by residents who paraded him in public.

He reportedly confessed that he was given the task to steal female underwear for a fee. The suspect was later dragged to the police station.

A Nigerian man has revealed what he and his crew members saw while working offshore. According to Romeo Nwabueze, they found charm/juju which was allegedly done by a lady on her man and his mother and thrown into the sea.

The lady, identified as Temitope, put a picture of herself and her man, Ramon Abiodun, inside a small wooden casket and did a similar thing for his mother named Baisat. This was purportedly done for them to love her endlessly.

She then added a written incantation to the two caskets before throwing it into the ocean. The incantation reads thus:

“May Abiodun never question whatever Temitope says. May he always give Temitope all the money he makes in his entire life. May everything he works hard to get in life always be given to Temitope, be it car, land house or anything at all. Anything she asks from him must be provided without questioning. May Abiodun never love any other woman again, except Temitope. May he start living with her as husband and wife as from today.”
