A 37-year-old Nigerian man has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl in Parma, Italy.

Police investigations reveal that the sexual assault on the Nigerian girl started last December as the mother who reported the matter to the police - alleged that the man defiled the girl multiple times.

It was gathered that the mother knows the suspect very well and allowed her child to feel comfortable around him whenever he visits her shop.

According to reports, the man would invite the girl to the shop's bathroom when no one is observing them and allegedly assault her after which he would warn her not to tell anyone.

He allegedly used the little girl three times in the bathroom before he was arrested yesterday.

Investigation into the matter is underway.

Few days ago, it was reported that the Italian authorities arrested four Nigerian citizens accused of human trafficking and forcing underage migrant girls into prostitution, including through the use of esoteric rituals.

The suspects of which three are women, were arrested in the province of Caserta as part of an investigation by the Catania anti-mafia police into the trafficking of Nigerians who were brought to Italy and forced into prostitution.

Those arrested were a 42-year-old woman and her 36-year-old brother, his 31-year-old wife and a 26-year-old woman.

They are accused of working with other unidentified suspects in Nigeria and Libya in human trafficking, an aggravated crime due to its cross-border nature; as well as causing harm to minors and exposing the injured parties to serious danger to their lives and their physical integrity.

More shocking details have emerged in the trial of Nigerian drug dealer Innocent Oseghale who is accused of killing the Italian 18-year-old Pamela Mastropietro last year.

A key witness in the trial, Vincenzo Marino, made the shocking revelation in court. Marino had been detained in prison at the same time as Oseghale and claimed to have overheard him admit to the murder.

According to Il Giornale, Marino said that the Nigerian drug dealer stabbed the Italian teen immediately after having sex with her. “They had a fight, they pushed, Oseghale stabbed her in the liver and after a first stab Pamela fell to the ground,” he said.

The witness went on to add that following the initial stabbing, Oseghale left the scene to fetch another man to help him dispose of Mastropietro’s body and then “returned home, convinced him that Pamela was dead and started dismembering from the foot.”

The Nigerian is then alleged to have stabbed the teen again after she allegedly tried to cry out.

According to Marino, Oseghale did not name who his accomplice was. “He had washed [the body] with bleach because it would not have been known if she had died of an overdose or murdered,” he said.

“He said there was a sack in the fridge to put the pieces in, but they did not fit in there and that he had to cut it and put it in two suitcases,” Marino added.

A commercial tricyclist popularly known as Keke rider has been arrested for allegedly defiling and impregnating a 14-year-old girl in Warri, Delta state.

It was gathered that the teenage girl was led to a private hospital for abortion before a nurse notified human rights activist Harrison, who arrived the clinic and took the girl away to the police.

The girl alleged that the Keke rider simply identified as Samuel, forcefully had sexual intercourse. She also revealed she was injured when she tried to run away from the room.

According to investigations, Samuel's brother also allegedly had sexual intercourse with the victim.

Samuel was arrested early this morning and handed over to the police for further investigations and prosecution.

Efforts are being made to rescue a little housemaid who has been allegedly molested by her madam constantly at Iyana isashi, Ojo local government area of Lagos whey they reside.

According to Ayo Yinkus Fatimoh, the little girl named Ulunma from Imo state, who looks seriously malnourished is said to be beaten with knives by her madam who allegedly terrorizes the community claiming her husband is a soldier.

The young girl's teeth was allegedly broken by her guardian who left brutal marks on her body ( the housemaid) due to the repeated beatings.

It was also gathered that the case of the housemaid is already known at the Isashi police division.

The police who are helpless about the matter - reportedly implored concerned citizens of the community to go viral with the situation in order to get the relevant government agencies to step into the matter before the madam murders this innocent child.

The Katsina State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a police officer and abduction of three INEC ad-hoc staff during the governorship and state assembly election in the state.

The police also announced the killing of a civil defence officer in a separate attack, while on election duty.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Gambo Isa, in two separate statements made available to journalists on Saturday in Katsina said the police officer, Mannir Usman, a Corporal, was killed while on election patrol at Gobirawa Falale, Danmusa Local Government Area of the state.

The police further said that a civil defence officer was shot on the chest at Santar Amadi village polling unit in Kankara Local Government Area, in another attack on Saturday.

Mr Isa said the gunmen attacked the village, shooting sporadically, hitting the officer on the chest. He died instantly.

There was a massive celebration earlier today after a woman gave birth to a bouncing baby boy while going to vote in the governorship and states assembly elections in Rivers.

It was gathered that the woman went into labour while trying to exercise her franchise and was helped by some nurses and other women to give birth by the roadside at Rumuchuolu Eneka area in Port-Harcourt.

The residents were overwhelmed with joy after the delivery and have name the baby after the Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, who is seeking re-election.

According to multiple reports, a suspected thug met his end today at the hands of angry youths in Akwa Ibom state.

According to reports, some thugs alleged to be working for the All Progressives Congress (APC), tried to hijack electoral materials after invading Ikono Ward 10 Unit 9 in the local government area of the state.

The thugs allegedly shot four people in the course of the invasion.

It was gathered that upon their attempt to make away with the materials, one of the thugs was captured and set ablaze by the irate youths.

Another set of suspected thugs has been apprehended by vigilant youths in Akwa Ibom, just hours to the governorship and House of Assembly elections today.

A bus carrying about 20 political thugs all the way from Edo state - was intercepted in Ikot Esen-Atiamkpat road, Nsit Ubium LGA, Akwa Ibom state.

The leader of the group was beaten mercilessly by the mob as he claimed they were brought from Edo to Akwa Ibom to monitor the elections and also provide "security" at polling units.

He also said they will receive their full payment after the elections are concluded.

Yesterday, the palace of Ateke Tom, was invaded by soldiers in Okochiri, Okirika local government area of Rivers State.

The soldiers broke into the palace and ransacked the building while looking for the former ex-militant leader who embraced amnesty in 2008 alongside his fighters.

The ceiling in his bedroom was also destroyed as the soldiers searched for him and suspicious items in the palace.

Meanwhile, Ijaw youths have condemned the invasion of the Palace of the Amayanabo of Okochiri, King Ateke Tom by soldiers of the Nigerian army, describing it as an unprovoked assault on the Ijaw nation.

Speaking under the auspices of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, the youths wondered why King Ateke is being attacked as a build up to the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections in the Rivers State when his domain has enjoyed relative peace even during the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Report has it that the leader of a notorious gang identified as Joshua but popularly called 'Zidane', has been apprehended by security operatives in Kaduna state.

The suspect is alleged to have terrorized the people of Kasuwan Magani in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna State. He allegedly served as the mastermind and architect of the crisis in Kasuwan Magani and some parts of southern Kaduna.

He was nabbed on Thursday, 7th March, 2019 by gallant soldiers at his hideout in Rimau, a village near Kasuwan Magani after days of trail.

Few weeks ago, over 66 villagers were killed in an attack by unknown gunmen in Kajuru local government of Kaduna state, less than twenty four hours to the rescheduled presidential and parliamentary elections.

A 51 – year old Civil Engineer based in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Oluwadare Adesanmi, has been arrested by the operatives of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), for alleged sexual abuse of his 15 – year old househelp. The sexual abuse has resulted in a pregnancy.

The victim (Name withheld), a Junior Secondary School Student (JSS) of one of government schools in the Dutse area of the Federal Capital Territory, was hired by the family as househelp about two years ago and has been living with them in their One- Bedroom apartment before the incident.

In her painful narration, the victim disclosed that the Ondo state born man forced her to have sexual intercourse with him on two occasions in the sitting room where she sleeps. On the two occasions, he threatened to deal with her if she talks to anyone about it.

According to her, the first time was when his wife travelled and the man sneaked into the parlor where she was sleeping, touched her and forced his way into her after covering her mouth so that she will not shout out. That was the day he deflowered her and it was the man who cleaned up the blood stains and took away the bed spread she used to cover herself.

The matter now came to the open when one of the teachers in her school noticed some of the changes in the girl, she was now taken to the hospital where a pregnancy test was done and it came out positive. Upon interrogation, the man confessed but maintained that he only slept with her once.

Another set of suspected thugs have been apprehended in Akwa Ibom state, ahead of Saturday's governorship election. The suspects were rounded up this morning by agile youths who stormed EverBee Hotel along Idoro road in Uyo, the state capital.

Over 32 of them were nabbed. According to the youths, the suspects will be handed over to the police as the law demands.

One of the suspects who revealed he's from Benin city in Edo state, said that they were brought to the state to monitor the election as observers of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He also revealed that they were at the hotel to receive the money that will be shared to them.

This is coming after various thugs in buses were arrested by police operatives few days ago in Akwa Ibom state.

A scene was created yesterday at Ogui road in Enugu state, after two beggars clashed over money.

It was gathered that the male and female beggars were tipped with the money by a sympathizer and that resulted into a fight for both of them.

In an incident which was caught on camera, the male beggar can be seen struggling with his female colleague on the road as she held onto the money on the ground and refused to let go.

The incident caused a scene in the area as passersby later intervened on the fighting beggars.

A 24-year-old Nigerian man has been arrested for allegedly robbing an old woman and attacking police officers in Italy.

The suspect identified as Lucky Ebon, reportedly approached the 74-year-old woman and pretended to be friendly before allegedly snatching her phone from her and fleeing.

The woman raised an alarm and called the cops who immediately arrived her residence.

The Nigerian was said to have been tracked down close to the woman's house and violently resisted the police officers with kicks and punches.

He was later subdued by the officers with pepper spray and will be charged for robbery, violent attack on public officials and resisting arrest.
