A man identified as Engineer Simput Eagles Dafup has been arrested for allegedly converting one Miss Nabila Umar Sanda Galadima from Islam to Christianity on a flight from United Kingdom. The man was arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS after a raid on his home in Jos, Plateau state.



18-year-old Nabila, a daughter of a traditional title holder in Biu, Borno State had converted to Christianity while at Birmingham University and had met Dafup, a lecturer, in Ghana four years ago on a flight.

It was said Nabila had recently reconnected with Dafup who was visiting Jos for the Christmas break and expressed her intentions to fully convert to Christianity.



His mother, Mrs. Dafup, said the men who stormed her son premises heavily armed in 5 Hilux van brutalized and torture her son before they whisk him away adding that even passersby were assaulted in the process.

According to her, ” nobody has contacted me or any member of my family as to the where about of my son. I, however, know as a fact that some of the people that were found in the premises with my son and who were also assaulted and brutalized with my son were taken to the Plateau state command of DSS.”

She further stressed “While at the DSS office in Jos, they never met or saw my son there. The men suspected to have whisked my son put a mask on him and the others. The other people who were taken to DSS office in a mask are here with me to confirmed my narration.

A police guarding a farm house where Ibrahim Mustafa Magu’s secret consignments are stashed has died after an exchange of gunfire with the Secret Police.

The incident occurred late on Tuesday evening, when the Department of State Services, DSS, stormed the farmstead in Karshi, a suburb in Abuja, where Mr Magu, acting chairman of the EFCC, “illegally stationed” police officers to guard dollars he secretly keeps.

Staff at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC placed an emergency call to this newspaper as soon as they heard what was happening.



Mr Magu currently lives in an a luxurious apartment in Maitama District of Abuja, which was furnished for him by a retired Air Commodore, who remains in DSS custody.

The 53-year-old owns another apartment in Karu.

All public servants in Nigeria are expected to declare their assets, but DENISAURUS News can reveal that the farm house in Karshi is a newly acquired property, which the EFCC boss does not want the public to be aware of.

DENISAURUS News has reached out to Wilson Uwajuren to get more information; however, since the exclusive expose on Nigeria’s suspension from Egmont, the EFCC spokesperson no longer picks our calls.

Muddy Anti-graft Boss

The DSS had in a report exposed Mr Magu as a liability to the corruption fight.

In the 16-paragraph letter, stated that the “corrupt” Borno police officer had “failed the integrity test and will eventually constitute a liability to the anti-corruption drive of the present administration.”

DENISAURUS News, the first to publish the details of DSS report against Mr Magu, has earned the trust of EFCC staffers who have provided various information of the illegal business being carried out by their boss.

Payroll Fraud

Staff have long exposed the criminality of Mr Magu. Despite, making many petition and calls for action from the relevant authorities, they feel nothing has been done to salvage the problem caused by their boss.

Recently, DENISAURUS News gathered that Mr Magu has taken steps to eliminate evidence from allegation made against him in a petition sent to the National Assembly.


Mr Magu, this newspaper understands carried out an illegal recruitment exercise and “was asked to submit the Commission’s Nominal Roll.”

Sources at the anti-graft commission say: “It is regrettable to learn that the copy submitted was altered and doctored.”

This paper reliably gathered that Mr Magu submitted fake and forged Nominal Roll to deceive d investigation committee.

Explaining the cover up, Shehu Bashir said it was “an attempt to hide the fact that he has been paying illegal salaries to ghost workers and committing serious financial crimes.”

ORTOM RESTATES CALL FOR ARREST OF MIYETTI ALLAH LEADERS

We find the latest statements credited to leaders of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore in national dailies and other media platforms as open declaration of war on the peace loving people of Benue State and we wish to reiterate our call for their arrest.

It is not the first time that National President of the group, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo and its National Secretary, Saleh Alhassan have made inflammatory statements against the implementation of the anti-open grazing law of Benue State.

Since the law came into being, the said officials of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore have embarked on legal action as well as all other forms of threats and smear campaign against Governor Samuel Ortom in a desperate bid to scuttle the implementation of the law which will commence on November 1 this year.

The law is not against any individual or group. It is neither aimed at sending hersdmen out of Benue State.

The anti-open grazing law specifically permits grazing of livestock only within ranches and prohibits the movement of animals from one destination to another in the State except by rail, trucks and other vehicles as a permanent solution to the incessant clashes between farmers and herders with the attendant destruction of lives and property.

Interestingly, the law also protects livestock and ranches as it stipulates severe punishment for any person convicted for rustling cattle or any other animals kept in ranches.

Going by the misplaced outbursts of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, it is clear that the group has not bothered to read the law which has been published in national dailies or deliberately refused to understand the provisions of the law even after it was published.

The mention of Terwase Akwaza, alias Ghana, as an ally of Governor Ortom in the recent statements is also an indication that Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore officials are not familiar with the security situation in Benue State. If they were, they would have known that Ghana is not an ally of the Governor as the man has since been declared wanted by security agencies over murder, cattle rustling and other criminal activities.

The Governor wishes to once more draw the attention of security agencies to the repeated threats and inciting statements by Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore and demands for the arrest of officials of the group to prevent them from breaching the existing peace in the state. The call by the group that herdsmen should converge on Benue come November clearly reveals their ulterior motive to invade Benue and inflict greater pain on innocent people.

Security agencies need no further proof to effect the arrest than the group's public declaration of war against the people of the state.

No individual or group is above the law of the land. The anti-open grazing law initiated by the Benue State Government has been hailed by both local and international peace stakeholders as the best solution to the frequent crisis between herdsmen and farmers. Governor Ortom has often challenged those who oppose the law to put forward an alternative better than ranching but none seems forthcoming.

We wish to make it abundantly clear to Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore that the Benue State Open Grazing Prohibition and Establishment of Ranches Law has come to stay and no amount of intimidation or name calling can stop its implementation.
