Yes the population of Nigeria currently exceeds 200,000,000. However, there is a disturbing statistic. In that figure are millions of youths that:

� Have completed tertiary education but could not find employment.
� Still depend on their parents because they could not make a decent living on their own.
� Roam the streets looking for non-existent jobs.
� Are depressed, discouraged, disillusioned and often blame their village people.
� Have nice business ideas but could not start up because of lack of funding.

My name is Charles, 32 years of age, studied Computer Science. From my little investigation of the above situation, I discovered that with a population of 200,000,000+, youths in this country can succeed and achieve their dreams if we do the right things.

We are intelligent, hardworking and willing to sacrifice everything to succeed. Yet, many of us are still unable to attain success and become financially stable. I discovered at least 3 bad personality traits we must overcome to make sustainable progress:

❌ Dishonesty: we always try to cheat, cut corners and jump queue just to make it. Unfortunately, success takes a different route.
❌ Impatience: we want to make it really fast (some who saw this ad will not get to this line just to prove the point). Nobody wants to nurture and work on an idea for a longer time – say 2 years. So we usually ask: “If I give you 5k this week can you pay me 50k next week?” If the answer is yes. The deal is done. You see why we usually fall victim to cheap scams.
❌ Selfishness: We often do not believe in partnerships and networking. Everybody is struggling on their own because we are not ready to share our success with others. Unfortunately, we are wrong again.

As I said earlier, we can succeed and become financially independent if we do the right things. Here is what I think we can do:

� Let’s form a network of at least 1000 honest, hardworking youths that are willing to learn, develop a business idea, and grow by selflessly supporting others as we achieve our dreams together.

We will call this collaboration Techpawa. For a start, it will involve 3 core components:

� Information technology education: We will train members in various IT areas such as computer literacy, blogging, web designing, dropshipping, digital marketing, content creation, etc.
� Entrepreneurship: Armed with some IT knowledge or skill, members are guided to create solutions to real-life challenges. Put simply, they use their skill to generate wealth as they solve problems in the society.
� Networking: 200,000,000+, that number again! Well, the best way to leverage this number is through networking. So through Techpawa, we hope to support each other by sharing resources, ideas, and as time goes on – provide financial assistance. We hope to get as much people as we can to support this initiative.

As 2020 started counting down already, you probably analyzed your failures of the past year and want to quickly put them behind you. Nice! Absolutely beautiful! However, if you repeat exactly the same mistakes of last and previous years, you will count losses again this time next year.

Many people will remember Linda Ikeji whenever they hear blogging. They are not mistaken because Linda is the most successful blogger in Nigeria. She earns up to $50,000 each month from blogging. But, how does she do it? What she does is called traditional blogging.

In traditional blogging, you set up a blog website, drive tons of traffic to it, sell ads and make your dollars. Just like that? Well, it sounds simple. But, ask thousands of failed bloggers and they will tell you it’s easier said than done. So why is traditional blogging so difficult? For many reasons, but I will tell you the hardest part.

In traditional blogging, the hardest part is to build an audience. You need thousands of people visiting your blog pages every day. In fact to make a few dollars daily, you need more than a thousand unique visitors. You need to spend lots of money to build traffic to your blog site and this is not easy, especially for beginners with little budgets. If you don’t have the money or capacity to drive this massive crowd to your blog site, you don’t make money. Now you know why many bloggers drop out after few months.

Like many bloggers, I was fed up with trying to build and sustain this elusive traffic. It got so bad that on November 2017, I allowed deliberately refused to renew the hosting of my tech blog. It went offline. That was the height of my frustration. I faced other online businesses I was doing. Then, on February 2018, a friend who knew I was a blogger called and asked whether I still do blogging. Reluctantly, I answered yes. Then he asked whether I have upgraded to the modern form of blogging. I said no. He told me that the modern form of blogging is called Social Media blogging. He sent me a link and asked me to sign up, and research about Social Media blogging. I did and gradually started learning about this form of blogging. The rest is history. Today, a year and some months later, I am comfortably making what I dreamt about in traditional blogging.

To give you a little insight, here is what you need to know. In social media blogging. To start up is very cheap. You do not need to pay for domain name registration, hosting or web designing. And while you are still required to have an audience come to your blog page, its much easier because this type of blogging has the social media aspect of it. You have friends and followers like you do on Facebook and this hybrid feature makes it easier to have the traffic needed in traditional blogging.
