Politics / Re: National Media Tour Of Projects In FCT - Day 3 by johnlittle: 1:23am On Sep 24, 2012 |
Mallamabdul: So happy for this media tour, it's opening up developmental strides of Jonathan. We are witnessing massive evidence of enormous hardwork by a president so maligned and abused in one year of his termTell Jonathan to stop listening to criticisms. every president deserves criticisms to sit up. It's petty of him to be so mindful of criticisms. It is the normal thing. He has not even received half of what OBJ received as criticisms. Olusegun Adeniyi said it that a president is like a leader of an orchestra. For you to succeed, you must back the audience and focus on the orchestra |

Countryman93: The bolded part is highly commendable while the unbolded one is a white elephant project. My opinion though. |
Politics / Re: National Media Tour Of Projects In FCT - Day 3 by johnlittle: 1:09am On Sep 24, 2012 |
Countryman93: The truth is that most of these roads mentioned by the OP were not awarded by GEJ. That notwithstanding, it will be highly unfair not to give Jonathan credit for funding the continuation of these projects. Nigeria is where it is today because of abandoned projects so we must not fail to admire a president who resolves to be selfless and continue the projects of his predecessors. |

EPOMA: All these projects look like project that should undertaken by a local governmnt in Nigeria, with the amount of money spent in Nigeria , I would expect to see big project like in Barhain, dubia, lebanon in which Nigeria have money more than and spend money more than. A good government does not even need to have a media tour . Did you see any of these projects being executed by the past administrations? To appreciate good thing dey always hard una. |

dedeike: I still maintain that Jonathan's administration is the most underrated in our history. Yet na dem talk pass. If I were Jonathan, their companies will not make it. It's as simple as that. |

Countryman93: The National Good Governance Tour entered its day 2 with a visit by the media team to Maitama Extension District, outer Northern expressway, Usman Dam Gurara/lower Usman dam, Kubwa satellite town, Kagini District 1 Abuja North West Phase 4. Not all the bridges have been completed ooo. The bridge linking Katamkpe Extension has not been totally completed. I passed there two days ago. They're still working there. @Op, mark it |

This is the kind of defence I like. Not the usual press conference thing. If you know you have been maligned unjustly, the best thing to do in order to prove your innocence is to seek legal redress in court. That way, the world will take you seriously 1 Like |

Zutchy: Nice one,I sincerely believe that this media tour could be an eye opener,at least now we can get to see the projects for real and not just talk talk talk.by the way the railway tracks really look sturdy and standard,am looking forward to the completion,in a populated metropolis like Abuja, rail transport will be far much faster and favourable for people to get to work,i hope the route it covers will pass through town. But the question I keep on asking myself is,the Military and their engineers that designed and built Abuja, were they so dumb as to forget to include rail transport in their modern city plans,up GEJ joor.At least with this loan secured from the Chinese I really believe they Intend to see this project completed.Abuja railway system has been in Abuja Masterplan ever since. It has it's tracks well cut out. It was not Jonathan that designed Abuja Masterplan neither the railways. What this regime has succeeded in doing is the restoration of abandoned jobs. Anyway, they deserve commendation too. It is not easy to continue with some big projects started by previous governments. |

Countryman93: The National Good Governance Tour of Projects started with the FCT today. The team visited various projects executed by President Jonathan under the Ministry of Federal capital Territory so far. Projects visited include the ongoing construction of Abuja Mass Transit Railway project, Abuja Airport Road 10 lane project, the National Space Research and Development Centre, New passport office, a rolling stock depot and maintenance base for the Abuja Metropolitan Railway project at Idu Abuja. It is one thing to start a project, it's another to complete. I will not be in a haste to celebrate this until it is completed. Congrats to Maku though for drawing our attention to projects in progress. |
Health / Re: 1.2m Women To Benefit From SURE-P Health Programme- Agency by johnlittle: 2:53pm On Sep 18, 2012 |
HNosegbe: Sorry o, but when did primary health care become FG's responsibility? Where are the states and local governments?Sorry oo. Primary health care is the responsibility of all three tiers. Health issues generally are in the concurrent list hence both states and FG have a constitutional mandate to tackle it. The National Primary Health Care Development Agency is the agency of government at the federal level charged with such functions. It predates Jonathan's administration. But the transformation agenda of Mr President has placed the agency in limelight from relative obscurity. Sometime last month, they advertised in major national dailies the pre qualification evaluation for award of over 2,000 health projects across the federation. That notwithstanding, they are now charged with the task to implement the SURE P on Health. |

Politics / Re: Presidency : Time To Remove Fuel Subsidy by johnlittle: 5:10pm On Sep 01, 2012 |
Subsidy! subsidy! subsidy!. Enough of this subsidy thing. Let them just remove it so that we will rest. I was one of those who stood against this subsidy removal in January but with the turn of events I am having a rethink. The 90 Naira thing was just rubbish. We could as well have left govt to have their way so that by now we can challenge them on it. Besides I don't thnk that in a post subsidy era, NUPENG and oil marketers will hold us to ransome like they did during Sallah holidays in Abuja. |

Where did the house of rep member generate his own figure from? No oversight, no probe, no summons, no public hearing, no resolution of the House to that effect and somebody elected from one bush constituency in the North jumps out to say 36 % and some dunce on NL take this serious. This is why I hate coming to NL. So much gullibility. |

[quote author=chidichris link=topic=335351.msg4723107#msg4723107 date=1255425 @ubandire, the last time i heard from you was your false information on the court verdict of chief T. Orji gov of abia state of which you lied to nairalanders that your weak onyema ugochukwu had been crowned gov. things like u are not supposed to talk where men with information are talking. u can only do the job of rummour monger. politics under normal circustnaces are supposed to be game for the wise and informed ppl and not dounce and weak in mind. soludo cannot win elections. if he has records, that must be at national levels and as such, he shld be contesting at the national levels. as we speak, i must tell u that soludo does not even trust in his personal abilities hence his resolve to go under god fathers who are hell bent on rigging their godsons into power. if anambra could resist the obj -andy uba madness, if imo people cld resist obj during the last gubernitorial elections, i see noting impossible in resisting the half hearted soludo. if he is man enough, let him prove himself and not hiding under those fat idiots that have brought nigeria to her kneels. all his supporters and godfathers are criminals hence he is and will be a criminal as soon as he gets into the govt house.

.in fact if there is one man i respect a lot on this forum it should be ubandire,i have my reasons yes he had given us information(HOPE)on the verdict of the tribunal, but if u had been following his contributions,u would notice he posted that pre-verdict,he was trying to be positive, see chidichris i don't know where you are from,am from Abia state.and no true abian wanted ur so called ochendo the puppet to retain that seat, because he never won elections in abia,in as much as onyema was never my candidate he was and still remains far much better than your ochendo,i live in umuahia abia state capital, have you been to abia recently,or during the gov kalu regime,u won't help but cry over man's inhumanity to man, please u know u r the man without information, how can u say that IMO and ANAMBRA states, rejected obj and the pdp, when andy uba won the anambra elections convincingly and the pdp sponsored ikedi ohakim to imo seat.which has been clearly evidenced by his historic return to the pdp fold,so tell me my bro how?you have to tender an unreserved apology for rating orji kalu among the heroes of the east, please stop potraying the south east as a land of political neophytes,we have men who are worthy of mention, stop provoking us with this ur kalu talk, for christ's sake do u know orji and his antecedents?with people like you and your idealogies the south east really has a long way to go,for being against the soludo candidacy in anambra based on the platform he is contesting on,goes a long way to show how biased u r,if i was from anambra i would have been thanking GOD every morning for using the pdp to provide a good platform, for the transformation of anambra.is soludo not one the of the best brains nigeria has ever produced?and you are not proud of him,is he not a million times better than your oga orji kalu, put two of them up for elections on this forum or any forum of ur choice and let's weigh them,or is your oga as usual feeling threatened by soludo's entry into politics, because of his dream of presidency, which will remain a DREAM,please if u have his ears tell him to concentrate on building his depleting squad, which he has used his dictatorial lifestyle to ruin, and he should also forget abia come 2011,because this time we are fully ready for him and people like you,i won't be surprised if u r one of jobbers on his meagre payroll.DESIST FROM BEING ANTI PROGRESSIVE.BE WARNED! |
