Business / Re: CBN To Increase Capital Base Of Banks by kaybams1(m): 10:55am On Nov 25, 2023 |
OlujobaSamuel: Strong Capitalization without a cogent reason is counterproductive cos it stifles competition and growth. Oceanic, PHB and the likes had to be recapitalized then based on strong financial indicators which showed that they were already insolvent at the time. The current system is different with AMCON. It’s a rare thing to see such a situation cos of strict regulations. Understaffing isn’t a new thing. Every sector witnesses this and it’s not a reason to assume a Bank is distressed. The FUGAZ are even more notorious for this and you can’t say they’re distressed. Hard facts should drive decision making not textbook jargons. Governance isn’t by blowing empty grammar to cover political plots. |

omoadeleye: You may be the illiterate here. It’s not a priority. Besides, the Banking sector haven’t shown any sign of vulnerabilities in recent times to warrant such plan. Mopping liquidity should be backed by a certain reason - inflation will be the closest guess. However, it’s common knowledge that our inflation is an imported one. Basically tied to exchange rate fluctuations as a result of the inefficient market. So what’s the whole point of increasing capital base? How does that directly affect monetary policy goals in the short run. It doesn’t make any remote sense. The obvious suspicion will be that they want to politicize the mergers and acquisitions that’ll follow suit from that policy. It’s as simple as that. |

My advice to the real men out there getting their grind together and making a life for themselves, do not marry a feminist. If possible stay off marriage altogether. Your life partner largely determines the quality of your life and most of the public toilets you have nowadays are badly raised kids looking for established men to destroy. Men now have to work ten times as hard to impress women ten times as worse as their mothers. Damaged goods with no substance, empathy and basic intelligence. Understand that only women, children and pets are loved unconditionally. A man is only loved on the condition he provides something. The moment he misbehaves, he’s judged more harshly than the demon that instigated it. No one really cares about you when you’re at the doldrums. So act accordingly. Most suicide rates recorded are largely filled by men, most workplace hazardous accident victims are also men, depression rates, mortality rate and other long list of negative things. So focus on yourself kings. This message isn’t for everyone. So pls get the fvck off my mention if you’re not my targeted audience. 2 Likes |

Kobojunkiee: Harm in this context is subjective. You lots like to go around and oversimplify issues through prisms of physical aggression while neglecting emotional ones. Men’s emotional side aren’t so developed like women. So when they hit crisis mode, they sometimes go into default mode of showing aggression just to establish dominance. I’ve earlier said I don’t support this behavior but I can’t even have a conversation with anyone that doesn’t understand mitigating circumstances in the first place. It’s a sign of low intelligence. All those “no matter what…” chorus being sung here are mostly done by the naive lots that haven’t seen the paradoxical side of life. If everyone keeps packing out of their marriages cos of this, probably 60% would be raised by single parents. Have we even considered whether we have an adulterer on our hands here? In some climes these types are stoned to death. Yet you can masturbate over half baked stories that aligns with your cognitive bias. The whole story smells funny and I’m not eating it. 1 Like |

UnfairLife7: You keep sounding like a broken record… All over the place spewing thrash. Life isn’t black or white so when someone gives a side of the story an intelligent mind should read between the lines before jumping into conclusions. It’s easier to cast aspersions over a moment of irrationality and wipe off several other untold sacrifices that man have probably done for his family. Bitter feminists like this are all over infesting young women with bile advice that keeps leading to baby mamas and broken homes. Have you even asked what led to smashing of phones. Is it possible that the man have noticed the woman is always on the phone chatting with her lover while ignoring the man. Cos obviously he’s jobless. Is this to justify his actions no. But even in law there’s what is called “temporary insanity”. We’ve all got our breaking point and it’s a terrible feeling to feel disrespected by a woman you call your wife. All these kids sef. |

Penalty82: Its anyone's guess though. But I doubt this coalition was formed just cos of Obasanjo's grudge with Atiku. Atiku isn't even sure of winning PDP primaries. He isn't a match for Buhari by a long shot. Something more sinister is playing at the background which has a lot of Interest in it, not just one person. 3 Likes |

It might sound like conspiracy theory but something tells me APC is just diluting it's reach in case anything happens come 2019. It wasn't a coincidence that the APC big wigs didn't berate Obasanjo for his letter to Buhari. Politics is like chess, the players are politicians while we are the pawns. And the principal strategy of the game is never let your opponent anticipate your next move..... PDP won't see this coming. 1 Like |

I'm not a Man u fan but this Man u team isn't it at all. No passion, no strategy, no quality player (except Sanchez). Mourinho is overrated too. He doesn't know how to develop players, doesn't have a known pattern.... What is martial still doing in that match. No holding midfielder. The coach just over using Sanchez for nothing. The dude is playing every wing. No one to feed him cos they all phony players who can't even hold the ball for four seconds, can't make a pass successfully. My love for Sanchez made me watch this match and I just feel pity for the dude. He chose the wrong club. 14 Likes 1 Share |

The crave for blood in this country is disturbing. I do not care whether the woman is guilty of the crime or not. The eagerness to make a barbecue of her (without any proper investigation) is just a reflection of our primitive nature. When battling a beast be careful so you don't become one yourself. |

CorGier: Dude, women are complicated beings. Most of them don't even know why they do what they do. You mess up yourself trying to make them dig you. Secret is don't chase women. The right ones somehow find their way to your world. Besides, you're just curious. Believe me once she says yes and you guys start bursting nuts, that fire inside you will suffer from diminishing returns. No woman is worth begging for mate. eezeribe: My point exactly. Why do blacks treat romance, sex as a one sided affair. Like a transaction or something. Women here treats sex like a transaction in which their reputation/goodwill is the currency used in trading. I try to tell some that relax, it's just sex. Your dignity doesn't reside in your private part. That doesn't mean I support guys that lies about their intentions just to get under someone's pants. It's just wrong. However, when a relationship goes south, it's plain lame to be sulking about the sex instead of the time wasted. Believe me, black women are the least mentally developed specie in the world. |

Hmmm.... This confession thing only made me believe this man actually is guilty of the accusations. Why will a 'criminal' confess without any form of motivation behind it? (either financial or threat inclined). Someone that employed the costly services of a reputable law firm, sacrificed her own goodwill just turns around cos of 'guilty conscience' to confess in the pastor's church. Lol. 2 Likes |

SIRTee15: Your submission have strong potentials of breaking guinness world record of the highest combination of fallacies in a single comment. Did you know the first slave owner in America was a black man? - Anthony Johnson. Did you know whites were slaves too? Did you know the Black people fought for the Confederacy along with their white counterparts? (Read up). These brave men fought in the trenches all under the Confederacy Battle Flag. Did you know the word 'Slave' stems from 'Slav'? i.e a reference to the experience of millions of (white, yes white) slavish people who endured centuries of slavery at the hands of African Muslims. Did you know as many as 4000 black families in America alone owned slaves in the Antebellum South far before your ancestors were born? Did you know several other Europeans of various backgrounds were enslaved by African Muslims as well? All these facts are heavily documented. However, if your interest lies in throwing around empty generalizations without any modicum of historical knowledge, kindly knock yourself out. 3 Likes |

Which RACE has achieved their freedom that way pls educate me? What is your definition of a weak man? If you tell me blacks are mentally weak by means of not being intelligent enough to use subtleness and cunning to manipulate a situation, I agree totally. But words like cowardice, weakness, timidity isn't synonymous with the black race by a long shot. Talk like an informed fellow and read more. SIRTee15: You may be wrong. No one likes being put in a constant state of servitude without a superior coercion in play used in ensuring submission. You are only seeing the video of the 'slaves' being tortured, but cannot see the AK 47, Kalashnikovs etc surrounding these guys. You might want to throw the 'they should die bravely' card cos it's easy to say from the comfort of your home and phone keypads. You absolutely have no clue what it is like to be enslaved. Your eagerness to comment on things you have no clue on is one of the reasons 'African countries are at the bottom...' not cos of your bogus hasty generalization. 4 Likes |

Coolcash1: Both of you aren't saying the same thing. He argued that the upward movement of the all share index was solely based on nominal changes in exchange rate. That point hardly made any sense but i'm not going to dwell on that. You were just trying to correct his ambiguity by stating the accurate reasons. Besides, the point that was totally off for me was assuming GDP is a variable that is largely determined by oil prices. There is nominal and real GDP. His emphasis was on nominal and he was saying real Economic Growth is based on activities in the real sector and all that. That too itself makes no sense cos it's basically real GDP(that is inflation adjusted) that determines real economic growth. Nominal increases in oil prices doesn't necessarily increase our net exports if other variable in the equation fell in value significantly. He made good point about the composition of the security market though (even though he slumped money and capital market together). The rest was just like dancing round circles. |

He should have quickly nibbed it in the bud same way he dealt with Boko Haram. Asides that, anyone with an open mind, reads and have good intellect will see that he is sailing this country slowly to where it's meant to be. Look you guys should chill. It's possible this dude is arrogant. But saying it's arrogance that cost him his engagement is stretching it too far. And somehow I have noticed in some cases, the truly arrogant people are the most friendly in social gatherings. They need to feel needed hence they put on a cloak of charm that disguises as being down to earth. Most are psychopaths. But if a man is real to the core, gives no damn about your opinion of him, moves alone and gives respect only to whom it is due, Many people misconstrue this to be pride. Being rich and cool isn't a crime. And damn it no one is perfect. The whole don't marry him if he isn't nice to the waiter but nice to you is crap. You cannot judge me just by one or two inadequate chapters of my life. There is a lot to me than that and if you haven't used love to try to change me, you aren't mine in the first place. 1 Like |
