Religion / Re: Is Salvation By Works Or God's Mercy? Jesus Vs Paul! by lawbabs: 10:33pm On Aug 24 |
AntiChristian: You are repeating what I said. It is by mercy you are saved. Your works are dead. It is only in Christ that you have living work. Your work only counts when you have been saved by the sure mercies of the Lord. Any work done outside of Christ is filthy rag before God. 1 Like |

AntiChristian: It's possible I die before his return. But don't forget he will judge both the living and the dead. You better make your way right before Him. |
Religion / Re: Is Salvation By Works Or God's Mercy? Jesus Vs Paul! by lawbabs: 7:03am On Aug 24 |
AntiChristian: That scripture is higher than your mind can carry. It is by mercy you are saved for no one can come to God except God draws him to himself. That was why even though we were many friends who were preached to but only I submitted to the Lordship of Christ at the very time I gave my life to Christ. Am I better than them? No! Why did I make the choice, and those friends didn't? Mercy found me because God drew me. It is only when you have been drawn to Christ that you now have the capacity to obey God. 1 Like |

AntiChristian: Don't take that out of context also. There are clear basis for rejecting other books. The criteria for accepting any book for canonization of the scriptures and the three elements that guided the church elders at that time include: 1. Church leaders often appealed to the agreement of the book with what they called “the rule of faith.” This meant that the teaching of the book followed the beliefs the church regarded as acceptable and correct. 2. The book had to demonstrate apostolicity. This criterion required authorship by an apostle or by the associate of an apostle (as in the instance of Mark and Luke). 3. The church applied the test of universality. This required that the book be accepted by a broad geographical segment of the church. Yes there were many good books but could not fit into these three yardsticks. Thanks The Lord will return soon! Will you be ready? |

Family / Re: My Sister Has Been Finding It Difficult To Forgive Our Aunt. by lawbabs: 5:51pm On Aug 17 |
Lance008: I really get your point but the truth is for a Christian, if you don't forgive anyone regardless of their offense, it's a sign that you have surrendered completely to the Authority of Christ. You are still in charge of your life, despite knowing that God pulled you through the hard times. And remember vengeance belongs to Him. This is how I quickly let people off in my heart: I ask the question - Am I willing to point a gun at the offender? Answer is No. Am I sure that God will reward everyone who have wrongly worked against me? Yes he will. So if I keep getting angry and unwilling to forgive, how does that deal with the person? No way! I just let go, and let God. You can forgive and stay away from the person if you are unsure of the person's motive. But to not forgive is a trouble you don't want to go to hell for. |
Romance / Re: I Have Been Able To Quit 2 Out These 3 Dangerous Addictions by lawbabs: 12:42am On Jul 31 |
Freshtruth: Hmmmm! It's not gone! It's because you have found solace in prostitutes. There is a spirit helping you to keep the addiction. If you want to break free from it completely, you need to cry to Jesus to save you. The power in the name of Jesus can set you free completely if you genuinely repent and ask the power of God to break every bondage of sexual and self indulging perversions in your life. 1 Like |
Education / Re: University Student Praying On Roof Before Exam (pix) by lawbabs: 1:01pm On Mar 21 |
NOwazobia: Nothing is wrong obviously! and nothing there says he is not reading for his exam. But I am speaking to the misleading context of the thread. The thread seams to focus on a gentleman praying on the rooftop, but the ridiculous post suggests that the prayer is directed at passing exam, rather than prepare for exam. So i am asking a clear question... is there anywhere in the video, where we can get a clue that that is what he was praying about? None! |

For instance, Reno never said Ironsi tampered with boundaries. But it's a known facts that Ironsi tampered with how the regions are administered, which affected the Exclusive, Concurrent, and Residual list. 2 Likes |

smileyoo: So much for opposition politics. There are sacrifices that a genuine opposition party must make to be relevant and to put pressure on the ruling party. Let me just tell you now, they are all the same. It is foolishness to think LP is the saviour of Nigeria. The question is all who won on LP platform, where they never in another party before? They all joined for from one party or another that didn't give them chance. |

Travel / Re: Lagos To Abuja Flight Ticket Should Cost ₦250k – Airline Operators by lawbabs: 9:31am On Aug 24, 2023 |
ShortBiscuit: Because for the sixty-something years of independence, we have not been able to transform our economy into a production-based system. Even in sectors where we produce, production equipment is sourced from abroad. Also, we employ expatriates to guide in the operations of such equipment. We have not built capacity in our people, and we have not built a sustainable system that ensures that the daily needs of our countrymen do not require importation. Even the toothpick you use is imported from China. An Average Nigerian stands up with expensive clothing (be it native or corporate), the shoe is imported, the shirts or atiku material, or Ankara imported, the belt is imported, the wrist watch imported, the glasses are imported, the perfume is imported, the only thing local maybe who sowed the clothing. So it's a long chain of dependence on imports. To move away, it has to be a conscious and deliberate effort from the government and the people. It will take more than 15 years to structurally reverse this order with biting sacrifices on the part of the people. Some of the structural reversal initiatives include the revamp of technical education in Nigeria, the revival of Ajaokuta Steel, the review of the engineering curriculum to make it a more practical and deliberate investment in critical engineering and technical manufacturing (particularly the manufacturing of machines, chips, batteries, electric equipment, etc). These are the foundations of manufacturing. So that any manufacturing enterprise can go to a university to design the engineering side of things, and take it to machinery factories to produce the machines required for manufacturing. It is a long way to go... I am not sure we have those visionary leaders, who will not look at only immediate gains but long-term structural reversal of import dependency. 2 Likes |

DomPerignon: These are the stories that were never told the younger Igbos by their parents. They only told them emotional stories of how they have been done badly by Nigeria. They have 1/4 of the picture. The full picture of the events that played out between 1950s and 1970s showed that these young guys have been misinformed. 5 Likes |
