I only wish you guys dig news deeper than the surface. I knew this will happen. and I am glad it did. This is one of the IOCs destroying the oil and gas industry in Nigeria. And they are not comfortable that Buhari will insist on them paying what is due from them. They have been cutting corners since the came into the country... and of course, successive governments have benefitted from the largesse they share.

Immediately I realized the Western countries were backing Atiku, I prayed hard that he will lose, and I told my friends, that if Atiku loses, some of the IOCs will declare their interest to leave the country, and sell their onshore and offshore asset. This is the beginning of the fulfillment of my prophecy.

As they leave, new investors that will follow the right procedures and do business legitimately with the interest of Nigeria covered will come in...

If that is the only cleanup Buhari with is dull government will achieve before we get some younger vibrant leadership in 2023, it will be a very good thing for Nigeria!

I disagree! Obj was brutal and it didnt work. What can dislodge Tinubu is a deliberate and continuous engagement of the grassroot on better ideological and governance project, that is not tied to election. If every man on the street considers PDP a better option because their local politicians is engaging them regularly on better alternatives for four years, then dislodgment can happen.

As it is, PDP in Lagos is weak and lazy. Have u seen how Tinubu engages the grassroot, and build structures that cares for the engagement? PDP isnt willing to do that. They want strong personality to dislodge Tinubu.

it is not about personality or federal might, it is about the people! Since 2015, only a section of Lagos, who have affiliation with the South East have seen need to align with PDP. Other than that, PDP is a failed party in Lagos!

I think you lot don't reason before you come online to critic Tinubu. Majority of the opposition politicians in Lagos are lazy. Very lazy I repeat. Election isn't about taking out godfathers, it is about selling your agenda to the people.

Jimi hid for 4yrs. He didn't show up when Lagosians were fed up with the misdeeds of Ambode. He didn't engage the electorate for 4yrs, then he will now come out and be claiming he wants to free lagos from a godfather. He was addressing Lagosians from the comfort of his parlour and on social media. Is that not laziness?

On the other hand, Jide was all over the place, selling his candidacy to the vulcanizer, hairdressers, artists, road sweepers, etc. And you expect that man to fail. He didn't depend on the political structure of APC in Lagos only. He went far and wide to reach all Lagosians in 6 months. That is hard work. He didn't take anything for granted.

Majority of Jimi supporters on twitter are not voters in Lagos. After 12 yrs of defeat, is it not right to to have re-strategized? In 2015, rather than do hard work, he depended on Abuja forces and introduced ethnic politics. That's sheer laziness.

The same Tinubu that you guys criticise is always encouraging his party members to work hard and earn every support they get. Tinubu that you claim is a godfather ignored the loyalty of Ambode and listened to his party members from the grassroot when they said they don't want Ambode anymore. He gave in to their request because he knows that the leadership he enjoys in Lagos is as a result of the workings of the political structure in the grassroots. That is the difference between Tinubu and Saraki. Saraki lost the grassroot but Tinubu empowers his grassroot political structure.

And you now think #Otoge can work in Lagos or Kano will teach Lagos a lesson. Until opposition gets to work hard for four years to put political structure and ideology on ground that is far better and rewarding than what APC has put on ground, they cannot win Lagos. It is not lack of progress in Lagos or political stupidity on the part of Lagosians but the laziness on the part of opposition. You cannot take Lagos by propaganda from the comfort of your home but by real mobilization and engagement at the grassroots beyond election period.

My honest advice to Lagos PDP is that they should immediately employ a political strategist, that will provide an engagement and ideological roadmap for them to implement in the next 4 years if they are serious!

Simple as that!

This election has proven that the problem with Nigeria is not mainly caused by bad leaders as people always say, but a massive lack of education as the root cause. If you are really educated, you will know that Atiku represents the interests of the oil owners and the power blocks and owners of Nigeria. Your complete hatred for Tinubu and Buhari makes u think with ur butt, in 2015, you called Buhari unprintable names. In 2019, you repeated the same strategy, and you think that will sell. Yes to an extent, it swept public opinion against Buhari but it didnt deter the discerning.

The elite and the knowledgable who voted Atiku are those, who have enjoyed the period of free funds and rent seeking regimes, where monkey dey work, baboon dey chop. Those days are gone for good.

I worked in a Nigerian bank, and you can quote me anywhere, they are massively affected by Buhari government. Where is public sector banking today. Most of my friends in public sector banking during Obj/Atiku and Jonathan's time, own choice properties all over abuja and lagos. Is it their salary? NO. But the reality has set in. All banks have shutdown that department in the business structure. How will these people like buhari? They can never like him. They will always say he is a killer of business.

The reality of our economic fundamentals is what we are seeing now. We have to grow the economy based on real economic activities, not based on stipends collected from Abuja. It is time for the youth to wear their thinking cap and think outside of the box. Only the innovative and creative will survive under Buhari, not those waiting on freebies. I rest my case...
