EOver the past week, I have been bombarded with hearing alot about the Holy Spirit than usual

Everywhere I turn, there was always a message about the Holy Spirit and how He operates as opposed to how we think He does.

And it is amazing!

So far, what I have come to deduce in clear understanding is that the Holy Spirit works in signs and signals, strange? No? Maybe you already know that, kudos to you then!

In reality, we ask God for things and we get bumped when they don’t come our way, but it’s only because, we’ve probably been blind to notice. I am guilty of this but this insight I’m getting about the Holy Spirit is changing the game for me.

In the Bible, God himself told us to ask, seek and knock. Needless to say that we make use of that priviledge to the fullest capacity but sadly, sometimes we don’t get results or they are not forthcoming. Hmm.

Here’s how the Holy Spirit works because manner does not fall from heaven like in the days of old.

– I was once looking for a house and he led me to it. The place was perfect, exactly what I wanted but I couldn’t afford the rent. Surprisingly, he sent me a landlord, that was willing to collect part payment. Hence, I got the house and a suitable payment plan.

– When I was in business and looking for money because I was broke, He sent me a side job that I could do and earn extra cash.

– I needed clarity in my life and He sent people (in form of mentors and coaches) my way to point me in the right direction.

Understand that at the time, I didn’t see the above as answers to my prayers, I just flowed with what I got but the result was magical.

There are many ways in which the Holy Spirit works that we neglect as humans because it’s not plain black and white as we asked.

When I understood this insight, I went back and did a thorough examination of conscience, only to discover that most of my prayers got answered in one way or the other but I was too enmeshed in my selfishness to notice..

These are many of the ways, the Spirit shows himself.

You also have to be ready to put in work.

The Holy Spirit comes in forms of signs, gentle voices, signals and human vessels. He sends people your way that will provide a solution for you.

Today search yourself, look inwardly and listen attentively.

The answer to that thing you have been praying for may just be staring you in the face. Open your eyes and mind to it.

Don’t let the noise of the world drown you.

Tennis Champion, Serena Williams who recently welcomed a baby girl with fiancé, Alexis Ohanian has penned an open letter to her beloved mother, Oracene Price praising and commending her for being the perfect role model.

The letter which Serena posted on her Reddit page gave details of what she went through while growing up till adult age, how people called her a man and accused her of doing drugs due to her masculine body.


She also expressed fears about her daughter with similar body type growing up in this world full of criticisms and sought her mother for help.

Popular Nigerian artiste, Muma Gee was married to popular actor, Prince Eke, untill late last year when the two went their separate ways over accusations of infidelity, lies and some other issues but not without causing a frenzy in the media.

Muma, who had yet to talk about her failed marriage, finally opened up to Saturday Beats in an exclusive phone interview and the details are alarming to say the least.

Talking about the marriage scandal, Muma said:

"It is exactly one year ago that I separated from my ex- husband. But then, he gave the impression that the issue happened in December 2016. I put in my best as an African woman to ensure the marriage lasted. Because of his antecedent, I had almost called off my wedding. I had already done the traditional marriage. The sign that I saw then would have made me to call it off. I didn’t go ahead to do a court wedding after the church wedding. This is just the singular reason.
I saw what was coming. But I tried for six years to make it work. I gave up my career; I gave up all I had built over the years to become a full time housewife. It is enough sacrifice for somebody to say thank you. If I weren’t a good, submissive housewife, you would have long heard the story. It’s quite unfortunate that he decided to carry out a campaign of calumny against such a person that gave up her career just to build a home with him in the sight of man and God. If knees could peel based on prayers, mine would have had sores because I prayed ceaselessly for my marriage to work. I thank God I am not barren. God gave me three kids".

When she was reminded that Prince Eke had accused her of abandoning her kids and leaving for Abuja, the artiste wondered why anybody would believe such a story.

She said,

"Why would anybody think that after carrying a baby in my womb, I would leave a two-month old baby and run away? A woman who just had a baby, scientifically, has not healed enough to mess around. If you just have a baby and your pocket money has run out and nobody is providing for you, then you have to do what you can with your talent in order for you not to starve."

The burial held at St. James Anglican Church, Ologuneru, Ibadan in the presence of friends and family members.

Coincentally, his birthday was on Thursday, September 7 and his wife, Oseyi Joberteh who said she was going to bury him in his finest suits penned a very touching tribute to him, in form of a posthumous birthday message where she highlighted their love journey.

Titled ‘Happy birthday my love’, she wrote:

"Here lies Hector Jobarteh.

The most annoying man on planet earth.

The one human who believed he could get away from any transgression against me by wearing a goofy smile and calling me ridiculous pet names.

The easiest and stupidest way to hurt you was to say I didn’t believe you loved me. The pained reaction it caused you was enough to exorcise what ever vindictive spirit possessed me at the moment.

I know you love me puppy, I’m sorry for all the times I did that.

Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane who faced nine felony charges in Miami-Dade criminal court after he was accused of credit card fraud and grand theft, has disclosed that his arrest was a call from God.

The singer was arrested on the 2nd of June when he tried to board a private jet but the case was heard in court and has been dismissed after he was acquitted of the charges.


The 24-year old has now disclosed via Snapchat that the arrest was a call from God because it was his time.

Nigerian tax guru, popularly called Madam Tax, a director at the Lagos Inland Revenue Service, Olanike Disu died barely 24 hours after celebrating her birthday.

How do you see God?

When you think about God, what comes to mind?

Do you ever feel him talking to you?

In the days of old, God spoke to his people directly. He appeared in different forms though; some in the dream, some in natural occurrence like the gentle breeze and burning bush. Some in visions or hallucinations.

And thus, He spoke to Joshua following the death of Moses, commanding him to leave the land he is familiar with, take over from where Moses stopped and lead his people.

Like a regular human, Joshua was terrified of the future and the huge responsibilities placed on his shoulders that would come with the new assignment but God promised him and admonished him, just like He is admonishing us today.

In Joshua 1:9, it is written:

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and be of good courage (courageous). Do not be terrified. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Note His words: Command. Strong. Courageous. Terrified. Discouraged. Constant guidance.

Whatever you’re going through, the Almighty God is definitely be with you. Even though, it might not seem so...Remember the tough process a diamond passes through?
