Dear good people of nairaland,

Kindly recommend good and cheap solar generator for me. The one that won't make me to break the bank and still serve me for like three to four years. 500w to 1kw should do.

Thank you as you educate me with your experience with this and other nairalanders that may benefit from it.

FreeStuffsNG:

The university has its subject combinations stated on its admission guidelines available on most universities websites and jamb brochures.
Please look it up there and you will find the answer. If it's actually your kid brother then you should know this and be able to ask him if he read the guidelines before choosing the subject and sitting for the exam, not after he chose the subjects, wrote the exam and already seen his results.

The below states that doing any arts subject and other subject + use of English and literature in English.

But my concern is if doing Yoruba in his post utme will not affect him.

Anyone with genuine information should please help.

Education / Any OAU Dramatic Art Students, Graduates Or Lecturers In The House by Midgut(m): 7:11am On Jun 03
Good morning everyone,

My kid brother chooses dramatic art in this just concluded jamb but wrote English, lit. in English, government and Yoruba in the jamb.

The issue now is that some people are saying he will have to write CRK in the post jamb instead of Yoruba. How true is this?

Must he write CRK? If he chooses to write Yoruba, what's the implications?

Kindly help me with informed information. Thank you all in advance

Religion / Osun Priestess, Yeye Ajesikemi Olokun Omolara Threatened By Muslim Group by Midgut(m): 9:52pm On Jul 02, 2023
Yeye Ajesikemi Olokun Omolara, the Osun priestess threatened by a Muslim group, Majlisu Shabab li Ulamahu Society, in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, to desist from holding a planned Isese festival in the state, has shared her side of the story.

Trouble started Monday following the release of fliers announcing the three-day event in Ilorin. Not long after the fliers emerged online, members of the Muslim group stormed her residence and warned her not to hold the festival. The group said they were sent by the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Sulu Gambari.

In a new video released online, Omolara shared her side of the story, bemoaning the unfortunate situation and also disclosing that her life was in danger.

She revealed that since the issue went viral, she had received numerous death threats.

Speaking during a short video published on Facebook, Omolara recounted her ordeal since the announcement of her event.

”I was planning an Isese festival in Ilorin. Issues began after fliers for the event were posted online. In no time, I was bombarded with calls and social media tags.

“Some of my people soon began calling to inform me of plans by the imams to shut my event down. It’s been a stressful couple of days since the fliers were released, I have received multiple death threats from unknown people.”

The priestess expressed surprise at the turn of events, adding that it was the first time she would face such harassment in the city.

“I have lived in Ilorin for many years and experienced nothing but peace until recently. I have always been fair and kind to my neighbours and this has been reciprocated over the years.

“I’ve always considered Ilorin a peaceful place and lived in peace with my neighbors for years until recently.”

Omolara, who said she once facilitated the construction of a mosque and a well in the community, amongst other philanthropic acts, said none of her neighbours had provided her with support amid her travails.

Given what I have done for the community, it came as a rude shock when no one offered any assistance during my time of need,” she said.

Yeye Omolara, however, promised to continue helping her community despite the treatment received from the Imams.

Asked if she would ever consider converting to Islam, Omolara answered no, and said “Even if I was considering this, their recent behavior has convinced me otherwise.”

THE PUNCH gathered that the festival, aimed at celebrating a few Yoruba deities was eventually canceled.

OP, if you wish promiscuity to end then support polygamy. They are just too many women out there and so few men.

This your assertion is not ridiculous but stupidly false. Safe for some very few countries, men are more than women in almost all the countries of the world.

Look at your immediate environment. The schools -- primary, secondary and tertiary -- men are almost always more. Google search with your phone, you would see that men are so more.

Don't be an illiterate. Don't join idiots that just peddle false claims around. Don't be foolish!

The reality is that high majority of men will marry retired runs girls.

That is not the issue, the issue is the guys that are striving to make themselves somebody that are marrying or will marry retired oloshos, while they are virgins because of beauty.

Let street dogs marry street dogs. Don't be a virgin and marry olosho

Romance / Re: Reality Every Guy Need To Know ( STRICTLY REDPILL) ... by Midgut(m): 9:20am On Dec 26, 2021
I don't support violence against women. I don't hate any human, but some guys are the cause of their own downfall.

Some guys are too clingy and sex dependent. The reason why they are always been played by women.

There is this guy that we're staying together, paired together in a hostel of two persons per room, for a year job. He borrowed my phone one early morning saying he want to make call with it. I gave it to him. I could overhear him telling, in a defeated tone, the lady, his girlfriend, why are you not picking up my calls, replying my messages, why did you block me on Whatsapp...

He was saying all this with my phone, wasting my airtime on her. Someone that doesn't regard him. A lady that doesn't love him. They resolved the issue and now back together, I think.

The issue I now have is that the guy has left the room we were given to look for vacant one within the hostel, so that he can be inviting the said girlfriend to his room. The guy is already planning how to waste his salaries on things that will, in the long run, not benefit him. He earlier said he wanted to save money, but he will waste his money on sex -- his girlfriend.

All this for someone almost 30!

It's not women, stupid guys that are the cause of their own downfall!
