Romance / Help, He's Losing His Mind by neosmyt(m): 9:53pm On Dec 02, 2012
Please i need sincere comments not jokers..

A friend of mine met his girl during his nysc program. She is still In the Polytechnic and during his one year, he was the best thing that happened to her. She does practically everything for him and according to him, she was always around him since they stay In the same compound..

A month ago, the girl misplaced her phone and efforts to reach her by my friend was abortive till she contacted her through another girl who stays In the same compound. According to my guy, he said his girlfriend could not call him to inform his that her phone was lost despite knowing people to get his number from.

Recently, this same girl lost her cousin and called my guy from a public line to tell him about it. He said he consoled her and since then till 2weeks now she has not called since and he does not have any way to contact her. While scrolling through his contact list he found he still got his girl's best pal number and that one told him that she is waiting till after the burial to call my guy,.

Question is? Can we say she still loves him or should he call off the whole deal? This guy is someone who can't stay one day without hearing from his girl.

All comments well appreciated. Thanks

awlaw: PLS MR MODERATOR KINDLY TAKE THIS TO THE FRONT PAGE AS I NEED AN URGENT & GENUINE ADVICE. THANKS.

I am a young man in my late twenties. I currently work with one of the multinational oil firms in Nigeria.
Since 2years ago that i got this job there has been an intense pressure on me from my Parents(especially my Mum) to get married.
Not that i don't wish to, but my problem is that i have been a religious fellow all these days(who has been indoctrinated in the belief that an unmarried young Brother should not have any close relations/friendship with a single Sister), right from my child hood beyond my university days.
Now my problem is how do i get to meet this MRS RIGHT and how do i get to know her character/worth without going against the teachings of my faith?
Pls i will appreciate candid advice from matured Brothers/Sisters & Friends in the house.
God bless you in anticipation.

The teachings of your faith is not beyond run away from fornication. The truth is that you can start from friendship with a lady you like, while observing her characters to you and others. Dont declare ya intentions yet so she does not fake it.. Have plenty casual friends and study them. You will find mrs right.. Hence knw that no one is without blame. Try and avoid talks that initiate temptations. Thank you.

Religion / Stop Calling Pastors Fraud! Truth Exposed by neosmyt(m): 12:34pm On Nov 21, 2012
A fraudster is someone who deceives, tricks people for his own selfish reasons.

I sometimes baffles me why Nigerians terms rich 'pastors as fraudulent people Where actually the bible supports that men of God ought to be prosperous, so that unbelievers will know that Christ actually blesses. Please read these scriptures before you blast out again to verify that! PSALM 35:27, this talks about God having pleasure in the prosperity of his servants... ZACHARIAH 1:17, This verse explains that Evangelism and Church growth all over the world will spread through prosperity. Christianity came to Africa through men who gave their all materially to build churches etc all over the world. The bible was made free all these cost money... So bible supports prosperity.

The reason most of us don't visit herbalists/witch doctors who promise to make us wealthy is because they claim they can make us wealthy yet they live in squallow houses, and live miserable lives. I bet honestly if our pastors were the type that are miserable like we all want and accuse them not to be, a lot of us will begin to see God as God who cannot bless.

It is notable to remark that i and a couple of friends have researched on churches whose oversears use private jets, and discovered that the only money raised in these churches are tithes and offerings. Tithes and offerings and giving are all commanded in the bible, and are ways for God to bless his people.. Let us see Proofs: MALACHI 3:8-10, Where the bible says anyone who does not give tithe and offering is a robber. This is what is in the bible and any pastor preaching this is not fraud messages. Read it yourself..

Also Giving is a commandment in the bible. LUKE 6:38,

Life is a choice, we all have to embrace it. David Oyedepo, Pastor Adeboye, Tunde Bakare, Papa Ayo, etc are not the only men of God in Nigeria. We have thousands of Churches in Nigeria, and just like there are wealthy people in Industry, Educational sectors, Politics, why are we critics of these Religious men when they also stand out in their Career? Unless you see God and his business as a poor one.

Finally, David in the bible was both a King and a priest, God blessed him through the people, any man of God today is blessed through members who have been affected by the messages. Also Jesus wanted to enter the city and he requested for the best Colt in town, and Men and women spread their garments on the ground for him to walk on.. Similarly, Jesus rebuked those who stopped Mary from pouring the most Expensive fragrance on him.. Please study your bible before you point fingers..

The Christian God is not a poor one.. Salvation comes with 7 packages and they are mentioned in REVELATION 5:12, (POWER RICHES WISDOM STRENGTH HONOUR GLORY and BLESSING) So what are we not saying..

I will also want to note however that some men of God trick their members to get what they want. It is however left for him and his God.

Finally, MATTHEW 7:7 Says Judge so that you will not be judged. The sin of judging is as powerful as the sin you are accusing these Men of God for.

God knows best. Comment reasonably and with biblical proofs if you got any. Thanks

Nairaland / General / The Crafty Harlot - Gains And Pains To The Patronizer. by neosmyt(m): 11:58am On Nov 02, 2012
The Crafty Harlot

(curled from Proverbs 7:6-27)

6 Looking out from my house, and watching through the window,

7 I saw among the young men one without sense,

8 Walking in the street near the turn of her road, going on the way to her house,

9 At nightfall, in the evening of the day, in the black dark of the night.

10 And the woman came out to him, in the dress of a loose woman, with a designing heart;

11 She is full of noise and uncontrolled; her feet keep not in her house.

12 Now she is in the street, now in the open spaces, waiting at every turning of the road.

13 So she took him by his hand, kissing him, and without a sign of shame she said to him:

14 I have a feast of peace-offerings, for today my oaths have been effected.

15 So I came out in the hope of meeting you, looking for you with care, and now I have you.

16 My bed is covered with cushions of needlework, with coloured cloths of the cotton thread of Egypt;

17 I have made my bed sweet with perfumes and spices.

18 Come, let us take our pleasure in love till the morning, having joy in love's delights.

19 For the master of the house is away on a long journey:

20 He has taken a bag of money with him; he is coming back at the full moon.

21 With her fair words she overcame him, forcing him with her smooth lips.

22 The simple man goes after her, like an ox going to its death, like a roe pulled by a cord;

23 Like a bird falling into a net; with no thought that his life is in danger, till an arrow goes into his side.

24 So now, my sons, give ear to me; give attention to the sayings of my mouth;

25 Let not your heart be turned to her ways, do not go wandering in her footsteps.

26 For those wounded and made low by her are great in number; and all those who have come to their death through her are a great army.

27 Her house is the way to the underworld, going down to the rooms of death.

Friends, lets flee all those sin we call pleasurable sins. I have seen wickedness happen through these. I have seen a male who developed four private organs after the pleasure. I have seen a female whose privates dropped worms every hour. Sexual immorality is for the unwise.. Sex is spiritual. A full 24hours dosage of it wont stop the crave the next hour. If you need help privately, email: okohejimoh@yahoo.com for counsel and prayers. Stay blessed.

I trade Higher/Lower. What i do is that i observe the currency or the random index and when it has gone too high, i trade it to go lower than this position after 2days. Minimum i use is 2 days so that during this interval, should it go extra high, there will be time for it to drop too.

Also i do same for when it falls too low, i can trade it to go higher after 2 days. I dont wait for the bet to mature before reaping...

all ye posts abt BOM plotting against naija is funny.. Whats wrong with succeeding together?
The problem is general and the reason is because for the past 3 days now the Usd has been falling incase u have not noticed. This means currency pair like Gbp/Usd and Eur/Usd are on high rise while Usd/jpy, Usd/Cad are falling till now,

Bom is aware and knws that experts will cash out big on this dollar flop, so thats y they are fluctuating.. Try random indices, indices or commodities for now and less of forex or rise/fall.

My Broses, i no dey work for BOM, jus talking out of my research into the market.. I'm sure BOM got more work than spying into this thread. Cheers.

Wife material
Is raw material
You must research and gather
Then sieve as you garner
Then surely you’ll find
The one that’s one of a kind
That costs less to maintain
Who your home will maintain

Wife material
Is clothing material
That the quality
Is better than quantity
If you buy a piece that washes
Loses colour after two washes
You’d have yourself to blame
Excuses would be lame.

Wife material
Is building material
If you build the wrong foundation
Whate’er may be your notion
Bad weather and she’ll crumble
Be it a gale or thunder rumble
In patience she will not wait
Look! She’s there at the gate

Wife material
Is executive material
Moves you in the right direction
Takes decisions in sober reflection
Knows who to hire
And who to retire
Beauty and brains combined
With you forever aligned

Wife material
Is not radioactive material
She does not seek to end your life
She does not emit harmful strife
To you a blessing
Learn this lesson
Do not be deceived by packaging
Test and be sure of beauty ravaging

He who has found a good wife, has found a good thing.

You are driving down the road in your car on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus:

1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.

2. An old friend who once saved your life.

3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about and haven't seen for years.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that
there could

Nairaland / General / Re: Inspire NIGERIANS by neosmyt(m): 6:51pm On Sep 06, 2012
Years ago the story of a young slave from Africa
whose primary occupation was rearing of animals
was told me. He grew in the wilds and lived from
childhood in the danger of been a prey to wild
animals. He had mastered the rules of jungle living
and was coping just fine until men from the western world stormed the camp in search of
human goods – as they were perceived – to
enslave. His life took a new shape and now had to
learn new rules for urban enslaved living. One of
such rules he had to memorize was “no slave must
attempt to escape” the penalty was death by a wild animal. The story goes that on a particular day, an
opportunity surfaced for some group of slaves to
escape – though they were not sure it will be a
successful escape – but for some reasons this
young slave boy joined in the escape mission but it
was not too long afterwards that the police with their dogs began searching for them. The slave boy
(I will call him “bravy” – and that’s just my
nickname of him) ran into a cave to hid. The police
searched out other slaves except bravy. But bravy ran into another problem altogether in
the cave. While thanking God they didn’t discover
him in the cave, he found out that he was hiding in
a lions cave. The lion fortunately came back home
that day with a wound in its leg. A stick had pierced
through its skin and seemed to go deeper as it attempt to walk.
Bravy noticed the cry of the lion and knew from afar
the lion was in great pains – so he crawled slowly
towards the lion out of sympathy for it, and gently
used his teethe to pull out the stick and went back
to his corner. The next morning he woke up to see one leg of an animal right beside him. He knew his
roommate (the lion) had brought him food, been
very hungry, he managed to eat something out of it
and the fear of what could happen to him if he tries
to leave the cave kept him in. Some days later the lion stopped coming home,
wondering what must have happened to the lion
he tried to move on and was caught. Since the law
was clear; if you attempt to escape and you are
caught you will face death by fighting a wild
animal. If you could kill the animal you gain your freedom. Bravy then was placed in the arena (in
Rome) and a starved lion was released to hunt him
while people gathered to watch the action. Bravy
didn’t borther to fight, he just closed his eyes
waiting to be eaten, but instead of been turn apart
he felt something licking his feet like a dog. When he opened his eyes it was the lion he saved. Bravy
was then freed - the emperor was greatly trilled by
the act. Lesson: if a lion could remember the good done to
it by a human why cant we do the same? Show
someone love today, maybe not for their sake but
for Christ sake. Don’t forget the little help people have done for
you, write them down and fine an opportunity to
tell them they matter to you Do good to all men because someone also did
some good or the other to you.
God bless you……

There was once a bunch of tiny frogs, who arranged a running competition. The goal was to
reach the top of a very high tower. A big crowd gathered around the tower to see the race
and cheer on the contestants. The race began… No one in the crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower. They
shouted, “Oh, way too difficult!!! They will NEVER make it to the top” and “Not a chance. The
tower is too high”. The tiny frogs began collapsing, one by one except for those who, in a fresh tempo, were
climbing higher and higher…. The crowd continued to yell, “It’s too difficult! No one will make it!” More tiny frogs got tired and gave up… But one continued higher and higher. This one
wouldn’t give up! And he reached the top. Everyone wanted to know how this one frog managed such a great feat. His secret? This little frog was deaf!! The wisdom of this story is: Ignore the pessimism of others. It can take your dreams from you. Stay positive.

Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee
Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone
Quit looking at the problems
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
To "thank" is a command
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
Xalting God most high
Yes, there'll be good times and yes some will be
bad, but...

Religion / The Stupidity Of Evolution by neosmyt(m): 6:03pm On Aug 26, 2012
Our dear science says 'There is no GOD'. Ok fine.
Science then further says ' Everything now has evolved from one thing or the other.'
It went further to claim that 'man evolved from other animals over a period of years'.
When asked, Dear Science said ' its takes millions of years for evolution to occur', and that 'evolution is a gradual but continuous process'.

When i checked further, Science tells us that 'man has been around for almost 6 billion years'. Wow this is a long period of time i guess.

Ok now Mr Science, you have tried but since evolution is gradual and continuous and takes millions of years, WHY HAS MAN NOT EVOLVED INTO SOMETHING ELSE NOW HAVING STAYED OVER BILLIONS not millions o, BILLIONS OF YEARS.?? And WHY IS THERE NO SIGN THAT MAYBE I MAY TURN TO A CYCLOPS OR WHATEVER SOON? Or should we wait anothe billion years?

Science has failed, simply because they do not want to accept the bible account of creation.

Heaven is real, hell is too. Accept Jesus now and be saved.
