there is this generalization that nigerian girls abroad are loose,have lost morals,etc;and that is why most men prefer the home-based girls.
from my observation,i think that notion is not entirely true.
sure there are several immoral girls out there,but there are also some very good girls;even better than the homebased ladies.
i think because these man have been with several loose naija girls here,they think all foreign based naija girls must be like that.
there are cases of men marrying foreign-based naija girls and having very happy lives,and there are cases of men going to marry home-based girls and they regret it bitterly.
just as there are loose foreign-based girls,there are rotten home-based girls.
personally i would not mind a foreign-based naija lady as long as she is a good girl and has morals,even if she has been abroad all her life.
i strongly beleive that there are really good naija girls abroad.
they are just not easy to find;-probably cos they are quiet and not as loose as the immoral ones.

but the truth is that these guys abroad see what our girlz over there have reduced themselves to just to make money.
more so them don worse pass white women in the sense that they believe in thier independence soo much that any little mistake wey a normal naija woman will condone they will place a divorce tag on it.

BUT @ POSTER, I think that u're right to an extent, I remember I met this guy and we knew we both liked each other but then after a while thinking that something would work out, he says "oh, I'd rather be with a REAL Nigerian woman" I was like, what does that mean? he was like someone raised and bred in naija. I'm like yea, I was RAISED and Bred in Naija, and then he's like, but you've been abroad a bit too long, you don't fit my criteria.
In essence, I think that men who think like this, are INITIMATED. Majority (note I didn't say all) of Nigerian women abroad are hardworking and educated. If you don't live up to your responsibilities as a MAN, they freedom they have expereince will make them kick you to the CURB immediately. No lele.

Why would should a human being say, I'm not dating this person because they've been abroad for more than 5 years, it is someone's fault that they came abroad for thier education. I don't know. (examining Nigeria's bad educational structure) How come its ok for the Men to be abroad and not the women? such nonsense Point being: as long as you keep your values and acknowledge the importance of your culture. Being abroad and or not being abroad doesn't make you more or less Nigerian. |
