The Leader of Igbo Youths in Nigeria and Diaspora Comarade Chukwuma Dike, has listed names of SouthEast politicians that the rest of Nigerians can choose from...

They are for Apc
1, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu
2, Senator Ken Nnamani
3, Governor Dave Umahi

For PDP
1,Mr Peter Obi
2,Hon Emeka Ihedioha
3, Senator Ike Ekweremadu

This list is not arrange in no particular order.....
For fairness all the political parties should choose their candidate from the SouthEast like it happened in 1999. When all the political parties choosed from the southwest....

Thank you
Chukwuma Dike

None of those on the APC list makes sense. I think Dr Ogbonaya Onu should be on any APC list.

As for the PDP, Ekweremadu should not be on the list. Ihedioha looks promising but I don't think he will be trusted. Little seems to be known about him in other parts of Nigeria. Peter Obi is known and loved by people from other parts of Nigeria, he is a businessman and people known he can fix the mess Buhari created.
other part of which Nigeria ...u mean kano, kaduna ,katsina that have 30 percent of voting strength abi ipob enclaves in the north and south west .....

Which injustice?

If you want to use old regional block: we have North, West and East, the so-called Nigeria TRIPOD: if we are to go by that Jonathan already took the turn of the Eastern region

If we are to use tribe, then the other over 200 remaining tribes in Nigeria can equally lay claim to what Igbos are shouting about.

I don’t really get where this equity and justice rubbish is coming from

It’s simply the turn of the SOUTH and it’s open to everyone in the south without exception, the same reason Igbos gave the yorubas that there is no going to be micro zoning of the PDP chairmanship that they eventually helped Secondus to clinch.

Every decision have consequences

I know of 6 Geopolitical regions in Nigeria which one are you quoting again?
Wicked Nigerians will mischievously twist things to favour themselves in order to cheat others after, when Naija don dabaru dem go dey find where to run to, what about those who have nowhere to run to. Una never tire with the way Nigeria is presently?
I know if an Igbo man is president, he won't watch the exchange rate go bad for Naira or allow only few sea ports to work, or allow passport to be printed in Malaysia when it can be mass produced inside Aba or elsewhere in Naija.
An Igbo man will not shut Western Union/Money gram out of Nigeria since business persons/students transiting businesses ( even small ones) and students would need alternative means of getting out money from Naija. Igbo man will not fight corruption to the extent that 3 square meals will be taken out of the common man's table.

We should not allow stupid politics to reduce our logical reasoning, fairness and equity. Nigeria is for ALL OF US.

If an Igbo man is so go good with leadership why is he finding it difficult to run a region the size of kano state? Your argument lacks logic and substance, highly emotional and deluded in thinking.

You're right.. From all S.E politicians, Rochas has the widest national appeal from North to South. Unfortunately his style of governance isn't ok.

I see lots of folks here supporting Peter Obi, no doubt he's good.. But Peter Obi doesn't have national appeal like Rochas, OUK, even Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu

In my submission, IF ONLY Igbo candidates are to be voted by all Nigeria, the first 5 most preferred will be:

1. Rochas Okorocha
2. Ogbonnanya Onu
3. Dave Umahi
4. Peter Obi
5. Kingsley Moghalu

you people like to waste your time.

For as long as there is Nigeria, for as long as the North continue to embrace Islam (I am not saying they shouldnt) and 1 man can marry many wives, their women will continue to give birth. For so long as the south continue to embrace christianity (again I am not saying they shouldnt) then 1 man in the south will only marry 1 wife, therefore many southern women who wonnt find husbands will go childless, therefore Northern population will continue to multiply exponentially in the relation to the south. For so long as population of the North exceeds the south and the poverty rate continues to soar because their children dont go to school and get decent jobs, The teeming population of the uneducated poor in the North will always be a tool of the ruling Northern elite and they will always determine the outcome of presidential elections. So long as the Northern elite are in control of the voting in the north, through the poor masses, they will never allow the killers of Balewa and Sardauna to rule over them!

That is all you need to know about the chances of an Ibo presidency in Nigeria. Now if you want to play a game of fantasy Ibo presidents, you are free to start talking about potential ibo presidents!!

Since 2003 till date a Muslim Northerner has always contested presidential elections and they have ALWAYS won in the core North.

The truth is, the South lost the day Tinubu went to court Buhari to contest the 2015 presidential election. It has altered the South and North central's ability to determine the outcome of polls. If nothing is done about it soon the core North may end up winning the 2023 polls.

BTW, what is Ihedioha looking for on that list, so that he can use his first 100 days to exact revenge on his political opponents? grin

I believe Peter Obi has what it takes to at the very least, spur Nigeria into a better economy with massive industrialization and prudent management of government resources.

But it’s unfortunate that most voters only see things through a set of tribal blinkers.

Una go continue to argue till 2027 or beyond

@ bolded, it dates back to the first Nigerian coup d'etat. Buhari no get peace from una, Tinubu has been tormented by una.

Northern has the Highest Voting population in Nigeria.
Rochas Okorocha is a house hold name in the whole north.

As much as i don't like this your write-up because of what Rochas has turned himself to, it remains a bitter truth. Rochas is a national figure likewise OUK, i served in Katsina state and i know how he is regarded.

I'll advise you to join Ipob for the actualization of Biafra as that seems more like a realisable objective than the practical joke you posted above. None of those men you listed or any other Igbo man will become President of Nigeria in 2023. It's both painful and unfair, but that's the reality.
