Sorry about that,

I feel you should stop applying to Canada for the time being

It is difficult to convince a VO at this stage

viviangogos:
It is well with you. It is only a delay so do not give up. Order for your gcms notes, if possible work closely with a guru this time to re apply as to tighten every loose end that may have been the issue. We will rejoice with you soon..

Landing gist

Day of Travel - 30th Sept
Arrival Day - 1st Sept
Flight name - Royal Dutch Airlines (Lufthanza)
Stops - Lagos -> Amsterdam -> Ontario

I arrived at the Lagos airport at 5pm against my flight of 10:45pm, none of my bags were checked because my cousin knew some of the airport officials (note that i was carrying a lot of food stuffs), i weighed my 2 luggages which were approved. I was asked for all my travel Documents, School Documents, ArriveCAN receipt and COVID19 test result. I also had to fill one yellow card stuff with my details and submit to them. After all this brouhaha, I proceeded to my Flight gate, where i waited till my flight time.

The flight from Lagos to Amsterdam was approximately 12hrs or so (can't remember), we landed in Amsterdam where i proceeded to my next gate after series of checks from airport officials. Omoh, the Wi-Fi at this airport fast die, its free and you have Unlimited usuage.

We left for Canada after 3 hrs, omoh all their food tire me. I arrived at Canada around 12pm Canadian Time (5 hour behind Nigeria), did some checks after which we proceeded to immigration officers for our official study permits. After which we went to get our luggages (these guys manhandled alot of luggages, i could not even recognize one of my luggages after passing by it 15 times).
(This part is for unvaccinated travelers)
We proceeded for the Covid19 tests (register at Switchhealth.ca to avoid the long queue). After this, you would be handed the Day 8 home test kit. Then you're free to go to your choice of quarantine.

You can change dollars to CAD at the airport when you land, just don't change everything on you cos their rates are high compared to banks.

Note;
1) Please if you can get your Covid19 shots in Nigeria before coming over, DO IT! To avoid stress.
2) Register for your SIN immediately you get your study Permit, because you will need this number if you want to work.

Throw me with your Questions, if it's something i can handle, I'd let you know. Good luck on your PPR journey!

The THREE (3) IMM Forms Needed for Canada Study Visa Application
(a.) Application of a Study Permit made outside Canada. (IMM 1294)
(b.) Application for a Temporary Resident Visa made outside Canada.
(c.) Family Information Form (IMM 5645 or IMM 5707)

Make sure you download the IMM forms with a Laptop or Computer from CIC website, don't download it from anywhere else cos they do update their IMM forms, the IMM form of January 2021 would likely be different from the IMM form of October 2021

Note: Don't do all of this on your phone, you are to do all of this strictly on your LAPTOP or DESKTOP COMPUTER, an IMM form can't be opened on a mobile phone

Bro once you have gotten a medical request from IRCC u are one step to get your PPR..that means all eligibility requirements have been passed assuming did an upfront medical, it would have been PPR and not medical request. GOOD LUCK I myself is waiting for ppr. IRCC sent me medical request earlier this month which have done and it updated to pass and I know it will end in praise
aaron34:

LOL abeg oooooooo, make I no go lose PPR after medical request, I just need to know how they operate so I can tackle it ahead

if banks just tell embassy about the validity of Documents then I'm good if they tell them about the status of the account then I might need to act

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by PapaObi: 8:36pm On Oct 27, 2021
Please ensure that the course relates to your work experience and or educational background. And I personally have an issue with 1 year programs, it has a way of saying you just want to enter the system hastingly.
Usually the program is like 9 months. This is from personal experience.

I have decide to apply with my 2 kids and leave hubby out of it as there would be no one to take care of them. He, my business and property will be my home ties.
Note: It’s a 1 yr pgd program to study International Business Management, I’ll also be self sponsoring and will submit hubby’s employment letter and statement of account if needed.
How best should I address this to the Visa officer?

[Ketima am in same shoe with you, i also deferred to sept 2022...ur medicals must have expired before you enter canada. Does it means we have to enrol another medicals before entering. quote author=Ketima post=107096331]

Yes. To add to this Esther, try to send your updated LOA to IRCC through webform before you send your passport. As I couldn't re-enroll for class for 2021, I jejely defered and was given a new LOA for Sept 2022. So I sent it to IRCC before sending my passport. Now when the stamped my printed my counterfoil, it now has 2 years expiration time. That's from October 2021 till November 2023. So pls send updated LOA before dispatching passport. But still, even if it gets stamped this month with a year counterfoil, you're still good to go

@Jay316, my class is now Sept 2, 2022. So I have returned to my normal life.

Ye. My medical will expire in April. I will be doing another medicals by March

My people please how do they send the passport to be stamped. Thanks

How I sent my Passport to Abuja.

I did my Biometrics in Lagos but I sent my passport to Abuja,
So I had to pay a transmission fee of NGN 8,920 to this account
CANADA LOGISTIC COLLECTION ACCOUNT (a/c no 0065165839) sterling bank.

I bought a fresh brown envelope and added the following documents, so follow:

- Your International Passport itself (That your passport !!)

- Print only 1 copy of the transmission fee payment receipt and put in your envelope

- 2 copies of your passport data page (I printed it in colored copy)

- Those stapled papers that was given to you after the completion of your Biometrics (put them as it is [original copy] not the photocopy)

For those that do not have the Biometrics paper again, your submission of your BVL(the immediate document that drops before your Original passport Letter) will do..

- The PPR letter (1 copy)

- 2 copies of the Consent form (I filled and signed the second page only) . Download the consent from here: https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/dominicanrepublic/pdf/Consent-Form-TTS-English.pdf

- A plain sheet of paper where you can write your address and phone number (this is not really needed though, but I added it)
NOTE: I paid for 2 ways Courier at DHL and insured it to and fro

2 courier means: As I am sending my passport to Abuja, I want Abuja to send back my STAMPED passport to the address I stated on the Courier

CONGRATULATIONS to you Kemmy
Pls can you send me the contact of your immigration
Lawyer or does anyone has a competent one that can be refered??

Thanks

First application: Nov 2019, refused after 2 weeks
2nd application: 5th February 2021
Refused: 2nd June 2021 (Reasons , not declaring my previous US refusal but fortunately I raised a webform after 2 months of submission.
Judicial review: 4th June 2021
Settlement offer: 29th July 2021
Application reopened: 11th August 2021
BVL: 27th September 2021
PPR: 19th October 2021

This application was one of a kind infact it was a strange one, it took a lot of fasting and prayers but God took all the glory.

Reason why I won’t be listing out the application submitted is because the visa was denied and I went through JR

My God that I serve that did this for me will definitely do it for all of you guys.[/quote]

If you have a medical request Send a mail to qlife and iom with an attachment of your international passport data page and the medical screening request from IRCC and they would respond with available slots. However, If it is upfront I believe you have to book online. Regards
