webhead:Lots of truth in your post, but how many men have the privilege of your knowledge? Was it something you were born with? I'd like to guess no. That's why a large number of men keep scratching their heads when they face issues in relationships with their wives, then come to Naira land to vent... 2 Likes |

Wait. Getting it from the kitchen yourself is greedy, but telling her to dish it isn't? Interesting. Barrister026: |

We are to eat as little food as possible for dinner in other not to overwork your system. So I believe your wife is just following healthy living. |

Get a cook, maybe she is sending you a message she is tired og cooking. Also, engage her furiously in the ''ozer room''. |

Barrister026: What sort of poverty mentality is this? Grumbling whilst serving your husband? There must be more to this. |
Re: My Wife Attitude Towards My Food by Yollymar: 8:59am On Nov 17, 2021 |
I think telling her the amount of meat you want per meal should resolve this. |

I think you should sit her down and talk these things through with her. That's what is expected of a real man |
Re: My Wife Attitude Towards My Food by don4real18(m): 9:51am On Nov 17, 2021 |
If she dishes food for you the same way again, drive out and get something to eat. Preferably, bring it back home and eat in her presence. If she complains, then you can tell her that since it's obvious that she has refused to understand her husband after all these time, you will do things without her consideration. |

First of all, it's not " your food" it's for the family, secondly please escort your wife to the market one of these days, because you have accused her of diverting funds for food, "who nor go nor know" Barrister026: |

Barrister026:I don't know why people take small issues very serious. Oga, you do not need to stress yourself repeating the same thing to your wife, go straight to the kitchen and help yourself. Personally, myself do not wait for my wife to serve me, once the food is ready, I move straight to the kitchen and help myself. people should not take this I am the boss so serious |

Barrister026: It's your money, it's your food yet you cannot walk to the kitchen and serve yourself. The irony. Abi is it over laziness that is worrying you? |
Re: My Wife Attitude Towards My Food by Blindinglights: 12:34pm On Nov 17, 2021 |
Barrister026:Shey nah this kind plate you want abi?? Try add money things don cost for market, Money you think is enough for foodstuffs, might just not be enough. Maybe she's finding it difficult to tell you about the hike in price... Saying she divert monies might be you misfiring..

owunabastard: it's an abominable act where am from. i can't reduce my standard to go and dished food when my wife is there to perform her duties. then why is she here in the first place. you think you are a man because you go and dished food from the pot yourself. after coming from work. i bath. i make my own garri warm the soup. then dished it myself. take it to the dinning table. eat.. then take it back to the kitchen. watch the plates. then put it back in the train. that makes you a man right? I grew up with my parents...never for Once has my Dad gone to dished food himself when my mom is there.... except she's not around it's either my junior sister does it, or we the boys do it. mind you my dad is a double chief. a traditional man. |
Re: My Wife Attitude Towards My Food by Nobody: 12:50pm On Nov 17, 2021 |
So you all saying go and dished food yourself, am not going to do it that way. they are more better mature advise I see here that am going to follow. not going to dished food from the pot, because I need more meat and fish. that's reducing my standard. it's either she learn to change, or she leaves my house. |

[quote author=Mariangeles post=107682172 Unless his wife allows it or is unavailable, that is disrespectful.[/quote] Disrespectful?? Then let her put him plenty meat na to stop all this quarrel |
Re: My Wife Attitude Towards My Food by Nobody: 4:47pm On Nov 17, 2021 |
Mariangeles: He should adjust?? Can't she adjust?? Why should it always be the man who should adjust?? This thing is a very simple matter... The man gives money for food, put him plenty meat...shikina!!!! All this wahala wouldn't have even existed if she just increased his meat portion... This is how some women will be causing problems in the home... Very soon now, resentment will kick in... He may reduce the amount he gives her for cooking... He may start eating outside or worse his secretary will start bringing food for him... All of this can be avoided if she just increases his meat ration!!!! |
Re: My Wife Attitude Towards My Food by Nobody: 4:51pm On Nov 17, 2021 |
Mariangeles: Yes... It's just food... Buh like my elders will say, "na small tin dey cause big wahala"... And I hope you will advice the same patience to the woman, when the man stats acting like a beast?? And besides, nothing is "just" nothing... A wall may take a punch like it's "just" nothing, but not an egg |

Favfables1: Has anyone even bothered to ask why his wife doesn't serve him as much food as he wants? Even after several talks... What if he's overweight? It didn't even occur to me to ask him that. I mean, who wants a fat husband? One can tell that the op loves food a bit too much for his own good. Even the portion he's complaining about might still be much. Imagine buying suya with the intention to add it to the food your wife serves you...that is a very very bad eating habit that might be hard to stop if one lacks discipline. From my observation, I think op likes meat a bit too much for his own good, and his wife is trying to make him cut down on meat/food consumption. Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial. We should do things that are mostly beneficial for our health and wellbeing. Although it is good to eat what you crave for once in a while, don't make it a habit all the time. We should be responsible with money too. You can't just eat anything you crave for anyhow, and at anytime just because you can afford to buy it. |
