The person has a large following on social media, does some media stuff and is married to an actor. So I think she will sell very well. I’m just sad that this is considered ethical.

I hope it’s not toyosi etim effiong because I came across her post saying she gave birth in Canada on my explore page last year.
How is selling knowledge she gain off the internet ethical, like I said she will sell it to mumu’s who can’t use google search button. God help their ministry

This is a very interesting tread. Can someone share information of the cheapest hospital now in Canada that one can use and that can send estimated bill so that one can use it to support visa application?
I need this to apply for my wife's visa.

Thank you all

Hello everyone.

Glad to come across this thread. How do you guys find doctors in canada to register with before going? Is there a list of recommended doctors based on experiences in this thread? Also what is the latest average cost for childbirth in canada and how much do u need to have in your account to get the visa?

Please I will like to know the procedure for applying for visa on arrival. I had my baby in Canada and have already booked a ticket for the baby.
I read that I need a visa approval letter but don't know how to go about it and I don't want to use an agent. Please can someone kindly put me through the process. Travelling in less than 2 weeks

I don't know how VOA works but since you have 2 weeks why not apply for an Emergency Travel Document from the embassy. You can give them a call but they are usually closed on Mondays, I think

Dsquare, I am so excited to read your story, I have not been here for a while so it is such a joy to read your story which is similar to my second trip. Your experience with the second immigration point is interesting and it's making me think if their process has changed slightly because of the kind of questions you got, I wasn't asked those. One may need to carry a lot more documents when traveling based on what you shared. Another thing, did you use the line for Canadian citizens since you were already traveling with a Canadian child. It wasn't clear in your story. And was there any advantage to that in terms of your wait time? congratulations again, this was an awesome read!

Good day all
This is to share the first part of my experience on the birth of my 2nd child in Canada. Please note that my wife and I had our first baby in Canada 2 years ago, the experience of which was shared on this platform. COVID happened few months after and this platform has been mostly quiet. So, I will give details of our journey so far.

Oh my days, first of all, the fact that you typed up your entire conversation, like womannnnnnnnnnnnn, I'm taking off my hat for you. lol. Again this trend about this sort of in-depth questions at the second stage..., and your boldness, wow, congrats to you! I guess now that two people have shared, this Dr Ted must be a good doctor.

VISA HISTORY:

My hubby and I got our TRV from VFS Abuja office via online application in 2019(4yrs and 10yrs visas respectively due to the validity of our passports). I posted about documents submitted and timeline in the Canada TRV thread. I wasn’t pregnant back then and had planned to use it for tourism in 2020 but then I lost my mum feb 2020 and COVID hit.

Oh my days did you say ten years?!!!! and there goes the end of me renewing my passport for only five years.

makylove101:
Thank you.

Yes, they issue visas based on the validity of your passport. My passport doesn’t expire till 2029 which was why I got a 10 year visa.

There’s only one visa fee.
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by dazzing: 7:01pm On Jan 24, 2022
Hello Conyema, have you had any headway now. Just to say that if your wife has a Nigerian passport she needs a valid visa to even enter the plane to Canada. Your two kids can travel for sure, but with a mum who has a valid visa. So I wouldn't even buy a plane ticket without a valid Canadian visa on my passport and I have two Canadian kids too. This is why you have some mums who are giving birth in Nigeria even though their older kids were born in US or Canada. I think this is what your question is about.

conyema12:

My wife applied for Canada visa around July this year . She had our first 2 kids there and currently on the 3rd pregnancy, unfortunately the visa needs to be renewed as it has expired. We ve been having challenges due to COVID issues.
Is there a way she can use our kids (Canadian citizens) as her reason for exemption to travel as she doesn’t have a resident sibling in Canada at the moment
Thanks

Lol..don’t mind me. I find it extremely frustrating when certain details are left out. So I always try to give as much detailed explanation as I can muster.

Oh and yes, Dr Ted is good grin

Hello Sicaron,
Please could you share your experience having your baby? Which hospital you use? The cost for the hospital and doctor fees?

Re: Giving Birth In Canada by dazzing: 11:29am On Jan 27, 2022
Dear Kay your question is tricky and tough. And you may have to provide more details on the exact circumstance of your spouse to get the right response from the forum. But from what you have provided, it can go either way. I can't guess if your spouse is there for schooling, express entry, or some kind of work exchange stay. The risk is if you mention pregnancy you may have a similar experience like other people on this forum where it took a really long, complicated and unsuccessful route. on the other hand if you mention only family reunification and you turn-up with a big belly, the immigration officer may say misrepresentation. This is why I say your question is tricky. If your family reunification is a case of PR as in you want to go and live with your spouse, then it doesn't matter whether you mention pregnancy or not. that's why I say you may need to share more about your circumstances. I'm no immigration advisor, but if I was in your shoes, what I would do, ,... I will make a decision based on the trend. If I think people who have been rejected stated pregnancy, then I wouldn't want to be in that category, but again this is an assumption because I am not in that category. Anyways I hope someone else can weigh in. best of luck.

Hey Makylove, I think you may have missed this question that someone asked some lines back. I am also interested in the answer because of some other people I know, so I will try and ask it again. maybe rephrased. You shared that you hadn't been to Canada before you got the ten years. but had you been to other countries? What is your travel history prior to the ten-year visa? I would like to know because yours is a bit more recent than mine, so I want to know if the Canadian govt is okay issuing long-term visit visas to people with no travel history, in recent times.

Hey Dazzing...thanks for your response...I've decided to go ahead and declare the pregnancy...if I get rejected...I will reapply after I've put to bed for the reunification. It's truly a dicey situation. I know I have better chances if I do not declare the pregnancy but I dont want to be turned back at the POE.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Hi Dazzing. Thanks. We were all on the regular queue. Only when the Parent is a citizen or permanent resident do you go on the citizen queue. There were other parents who had Canadian kids. Once the officer asked who is a citizen or permanent resident. And several of us raised our hands and said our kids are citizen. He asked how old are the kids( they were all below 18 years old). The officer said we can only go on citizen queue if one parent is a citizen or permanent resident.

Please can you confirm if they came through for you... i am thinking of using them also and dont want stories that touch. I wont mind recommendation for credible agency in Nigeria

Choiceart0710:
Now I'm really having doubts about using them, you're like the second person that would mention how poor their customer service is.

I don't trust Cradlehavven.
I sent them some documents to support my application and few weeks later I saw 1 of my children's birth certificate (i had him abroad) on their Instagram page like it was 1 of their successful client's child's birth certificate.
Also poor customer service.

Hi Dazzling,

Just seeing this. Yes, I got a ten year visa even though I had never been to Canada prior to the application. Same situation with hubby. However, we had travel history (Uk, US, Dubai). At the time of our application, our US visa was still valid. Hope this helps?

Canada will give you visa based on the validity of your passport.
