We started having dogs when I was in junior secondary...We disturbed my dad to get us one..He did..Onye enyere nri, ya ga nye nkita..

That dog was too special to us...Mum that doesnt like dogs then, became the one that was taking care of it...And that was how she became a lover all pets anyi nwere since then.

So I had this Local dog I love very well, I feed her all the time.

She eats whenever eat. She is so fresh unless you take a close look you won't know it's a local dog.

But during the Christmas holiday I travelled, by the time I came back my precious dog doesn't stay In our apartment again, she now spends all her time at our neighbors, if I call her and my neighbors call her at the same time she will answer them first.

This dog has completely forgotten about me. Sometimes I will go pick her up there feed her and before I look again she has returned to our neighbors house.

So I ask my dad what could have happened and he told me they beat her when I travelled because she dog a hole in the backyard.

He had lots of goats and sheep, but by the time we traveled home one time, there were no more sheep. Only goats.
I wonder what happened to them.

Remember the story I once told about when one of his goats (or is it sheep?) that didn't come home? Probably lost its way.
My grandfather went out in the dark with a flashlight to look for it. He found it and brought it home.

I like the idea of getting little children a dog to care for.

You need to see them talk to these pets like say they are human.

The one I have in the farm last year, became soo jealous of the attention the cat was getting, it got to extent it chased away the Cat by becoming hostile to it...The worst is that both are females..

My mistake was keeping a female dog..The cat bonds well with the males.

Now I lost the cat...Mu ejiri iwe ree the dog...And got a new male...And i am getting a new cat because of rodents in the farm..

Yes getting pets for kids is soo cute...A dikwa hu m sure I can live anywhere without these domestic animals o...Dogs, birds and cats...Ewu bu nsogbu.

My brother once told me that the reason the people of the past kept animals was because if any harm were to come to the family, the animals usually take the fall.

I believe you ain't close to your dog enough...I'm not saying you don't have a relationship with ur dog but... Giving a dog food and playing with dog doesn't necessarily mean it consider you as only trusted onwer...I'm not sure u get ma point but u need to create a deep connection,bond with your dog before you guys can click...

I remember I was away for over a year
When I returned... My dog was rolling on the floor licking me all-over... for over 5mins...he was just jumping on me...


For now, I will suggest you keep feeding the dog... Don't worry...just keep feeding.. with time he will return when he regain your trust...

Yes na...Ihe ndi a na eme ha obioma....You know our current parents wunu a generation that left village in search of white collar jobs na town..So they left the rural life setting and ever since then things changed.

A generation will come to abandone life in the city, Abroad and return to rural or sub-urban life.

O wu kwanu udi life m choro...I can make money anywhere..Ihe abroad a nahu amasi m at all...I see it as a place I can go with my wife, unwind for some weeks...Do some purchase and return...
