Registry doesn't even need to cost anything, just come from home with your witness already there waiting for you, then go home from the registry with out giving them any refreshments

But don't go about codedly begging families or friends to come chip in your wedding or invite the whole church to attend.

If the arrangement had been mutual, the both families would exchange a few/price for each of their kids in this - the gal's father pays a price to the boy's father and the boy's father pay to the gal's father.
