Now hear me out, I'm still a loyal, dedicated and unapologetical Obidient, but I'm beginning to feel that Obi is simply too nice (r maybe too naive) for the Nigerian laissez-faire brand of politics which encourages mediocrity and "anything goes"...my point is, why does Obi have to attend every damn media hosting? It's becoming clear that despots like Tinubu and Atiku don't care about answering to Nigerians and can pick and choose their own narratives since they have all the political muscle to rig their way into power anyway, so why can't Obi just say "fucck it" and also play by the dirty rules of Nigerian politics by shunning all media outlets and doing his own "BIGMANism" since he's also a major contender as well? Obi is just too nice and unfortunately been honest, accountable and transparent doesn't pander to the principles of some Nigerians who have come to accept tyrannical attitudes from our political leaders because of ethnic and religious sentiments.

Obi should have avoided this debate since his fellow presidential contenders didn't think it was necessary to attend it, he should have just sent Datti to represent him...because his presence or not wouldn't still have stopped his growing influence anyway.

Yes, but we are talking about leadership by example and a new Nigeria. He is the man for the job. A man driven by principle and integrity

OP don't be pissed, that's the situation we found ourselves in today's Nigeria. However, there are many undecided voters who are watching keenly as the event unfold and will punish those that don't regard us at the poll.

How can I be sharing a country with people who think this way? that a debate to hear a presidential candidate speak is not important?

Imagine you thinking the right thing(Obi showing up for the debate) is wrong while the wrong thing(Obi behaving like other candidates) is right!.. What kind of people do we have in this country? Na wa oh!

It was his interviews that brought him to limelight. Let him continue with his methods. "I'd rather lose doing the right thing than win doing the wrong things" - Peter Obi

That was how I was "angry" when Obi came to address Aisha Yesufu when she was "dragging" him on his plans for security/police brutality.

She should have known better, instead of acting like an oppositional/undecided voter.

Anyway, Obi came and quell the tension and everyone was back to mostly good and chill.

You have to come to understand that that is just Obi's style and person and you should get used to it.

He's not one to say, "ehn, shebi others are doing it." grin

No one fit best that man for morals and ethics, abeg.

Obi is still winning more hearts in every debate, especially as the other contenders are on the run. He should continue to run them out of the race.

Obi is a media creation. He became popular as a result of doing chochocho about the problems of Nigeria from one media house to the other.

The problem now is that the debate and engagements are no longer about identifying the problems and blaming APC but about discussing solutions and how to solve all the identified problems. Peter Obi is empty and has no solution to any of our identified problems. That’s why he’s doing poorly in all his media outings recently. You just can’t give what you don’t have.

And when Obi became the governor of Anambra State, do you realise that this was exactly the kind of person he was (and is)?

So don't think it's not working, or that it hasn't worked for him.

He's not new to politics.

I agree he appears nice to a fault, and he's been subjected to the most ridiculous and inane standards because of his accessibility, but I'll advise that you make peace with that.

- He gave students his number
- He went in floods to save people
- He used to appear on a radio program for a Q & A session with the people
- He showed up unannouced to dine and wine with people
- And many more of such acts...

Anything worth doing is worth doing well, even if others are doing rubbish. grin

It's about yourself and what you can do, so H.E. PO is never going to change. cheesy

And the election is not merely a retaliatory thing, but a blueprint for finally doing things right in this country.

Be like them in some respect, but not entirely like them.

Dear OP, Obi is doing the right thing. It shows that he respects the rule of law. Atiku and Tinubu think they are above the law but not on Nigerian Youths watch again. Obi shows he has respect for Nigerians and we will reciprocate by given him all the best and giving him our last vote. He has shown leadership by example.

Do you understand what this entails?
Tinubu has TVC, Obi doesn't have that
Tinubu has Buhari as his Abraham, Obi doesn't have that.
Tinubu has many governors waiting to rig the elections for him, Obi doesn't have that.

Atiku has political friends and corrupt allies in every nook and cranny of this country.
According to Obasanjo, Atiku has stolen enough money to feed his generation for "400 years"!
Atiku has PDP governors and big wigs to help him shape the narrative, but Obi doesn't have these..

Tinubu and Atiku can use their facilities and massive wealth to shape the narrative to help their goals..

So?

Obi needs to seize these sorts of opportunities. They're golden. It helps him appear humble and humane, these are the qualities that the other contestants lack.

He's not competing with Atiku and Tinubu on who is more arrogant.
Moreover, Tinubu is dodging the debates because of his recurrent incoherent outbursts. His handlers know he's going to finish himself if he attends. Obi doesn't have such worries..
So..?.

South south woint be foolish to empower an Igbo to continue from where they stopped in 1966.

Hope you have your PVC and you will vote for Obi. It's not by saying what's right and then reward those who did wrong, or worse is to accept the people who do wrong for whatever reasons.

If Obi is doing the right thing and he's the right candidate, it will be so unfortunate if we don't do everything we can to make him win.

If we didn't allow Buhari rig himself in in 2019. No candidate will see Nigerians as un serious people.

You are so daft, dumb, and stupid just like your foolish Peter Obi. Now the scales have started to fall off your blind eyes. You fool should stop complaining and deal with what you have stupidly entered into. We told you that your dungeon was designed to belong to certain people, but you and your foolish Peter Obi want to behave like the idiot called Azikiwe to legitimize their zoo election for them and when we protest after the rigging has been perfected to bring in their choice president, they will tell us that we participated after all. Imagine what would happen if Peter Obi behave like Tinubu and Athifku by opting out of all the invitations to answer questions from all your morons?

Reason why we have decided to boycott your so-called s/election and are about to opt out from your malfunctioning, fraudulent dungeon called nigeria. In your useful idiot head, you actually think that Peter Obi will win election in a terrorist control cesspit called nigeria. This is why we see you, useful Igbo idiots, as daft and dumb. Continue with your idiocy, but make sure that you and your dumbass morons did not set foot into Biafraland for your useless election because it's never going to be allowed to happen anywhere inside Biafra.

Nigerians be wise! Nigeria will be like a headless chicken with Tinubu as president. He is avoiding key forums and it’s just too many to pretend that all is well. All these people supporting him are real enemies of this country. How can you justify supporting such a man? And the worst thing is that even some educated folks from a certain region are the ones spearheading such wickedness. These are the real terrorists in this country…worse than Bokoharam, ISWAP, Herdsmen and any other terror groups fused together.

God in His infinite mercies shall save us from this imminent doom!
